What a Dream Job is...
I've always been fond of making something - may it be arts and crafts, something from scratch, food, clothes, pastries, and bread. As they say it, jack of all trades but master of none.
However, as I grew, I needed to have a solid plan for my future and I was hooked to take BS Food Technology at a prestigious school in our country with a scholarship. It was a hard journy but I graduated on time with flying colors last July. I thought to myself, I would like to rest for 6 month before eventually applying. I tried my best but as I have always been, I lost patience and got bored resting so I applied for a job offer that is not really easy to get into - an R&D specialist in a manufacturing company. Plot twist because it is a baked goods company.
I underwent many process to finally receive a job offer last September. As soon as I entered the laboratory, I thought to myself, this is it - I wanna work for this company. I guess I was hypnotized by the smell of baked goods. I had to sacrifice a lot by choosing to work in this company since its location is miles away from my permanent home. However, I have always believed that growth is achieved through uncomfortable instances and life challenges. It is when we get out of our comfort zone that we truly experience opportunities that will change us for the better and hone us for the future. That I think is what a true dream job is!
How about you?
If you are still a student, where do you see yourself in years? If you have recently graduated, how has life been so far? If you have been working for year/s now, do you think you have chosen the right job to get into? Feel free to share your stories!
I am currently a student and honestly, I don't see any future for myself. Nothing motivates me and I haven't figured out my passion yet. However,I have decided to just trust the process and see what the future holds for me. I honestly think that you are very lucky and wish you the very best.
