I can hear commotion from our neighbor but I decided to just stay inside the house. I found out that it will be our neighbor's funeral. There's a rumor that she died from Covid but it was confirmed she's positive of other illness. I didn't come to her wake because of the pandemic is still here, and they have some visitors coming from other provinces. Better to be safe than sorry.

By the way, it's finally sunny after the recent gloomy days we had brought about by the typhoon.

Tell

So many people are suffering in silence with annoying thoughts crossing their heads. We can call them "intrusive thoughts" which was triggered by obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Such thoughts are causing them distress that they want to get such urges go away because they never really wanted to do such.

They have no one to tell of their condition. Financial status may also not allow someone to seek medical attention because the cost is too high. Stigma is another factor why people prefer to hide their condition. Hence, it is important that people should be made aware about different mental illnesses so they can check if someone from the family is concealing any symptoms of such affliction.

Fax

Some people may still ask if fax machines are still being used today. Of course, some younger generations are not used to such technology because communication nowadays is more advanced. However, there are businesses out there still using fax machines. I remember back then when we still have our computer shop, we have a regular customer using the service. Her bill is even reaching hundreds to more than a thousand pesos, and I have to send a lot of documents overseas. Operating a fax machine with loads of documents can be tiring especially when you got disconnected from that call or the recipient had unintentionally dropped the call. Those are the days but I already forgot how to use fax machines.

Tape

What can I say? I had mentioned about cassette tapes for recorded music on a recent freewrite. How about Betamax and VHS tapes? I remember when there's even a separate rewinder of such tapes unlike today when you can adjust through the gadgets the videos we are watching. Oh, those VHS rewinders looking like toy cars. We don't have Netflix then, but we had Video City and other rental shops. Time came when VCDs, DVDs, and Blu-Ray discs has replaced Betamax and VHS tapes. Now, we have our gadgets and Smart TVs for entertainment purposes.

Sleeve

Back then, when you don't have CD case, you can opt for a CD sleeve. I remember having a CD sleeves binder with different computer softwares. Also had a binder with different music albums compiled on it. Those were the days. There may be struggles to attain entertainment, but it's enjoyable. Unlike today, many people lacked patience because they haven't gone through what we had back then.

Funny that all I had from the second to the fourth word are all about nostalgia. Well, it's good that we can share something about our lives then.

Us

I remember this line from an old Filipino movie which the guy told the girl "there's never an us". Such a classic line heard by those who are friend-zoned. For sure, there are many individuals out there who are bestfriends with an opposite gender, and are secretly in love with them. How difficult it is that this person you are in love with is in love with another person, but all you can do is support him or her because you're just bestfriends.
