Signs That I am Drunk August 16, 2021 To start with, I am not really a drunkard. I just drink alcohol occasionally and my alcohol tolerance is very low. I also have my few drunk moments but I can say that I am a responsible drinker so I haven't done any stupid things when I'm drunk but here are some signs when I am already drunk. **I'll turn red** The very first sign for you to know that I am drunk or even drunk a small glass of alcohol is that I'll turn red. I don't why that happens but people here in our place says that it's because of my blood. You know my blood would fight off the alcohol that I intake, something like that. The very first thing that I would notice is my ears getting hot then followed by my face. When that happens it means that my face is slowly turning into a red one like a tomato. Most of the times when my face is already red I stopped from accepting drinks for a while then just continue after the redness subsided. But if I continue drinking regardless of my face the redness would slowly eat my whole body. From face down to my neck, my chest, my arms, my thighs, down to my feet. Yes, my whole body would turn into a red one. There's this one time when I was still in highschool, it was a fiesta celebration in one of my friends place. Out of curiosity we drink a coconut red wine which in our place we call it "*Tuba*". Not too long from my first and last glass when my I felt that my body is slowly getting hotter by a minute. One of my friends told us to visit our classmate in their house so we did got out and when a stranger saw me, he told me that I am drunk because it was so obvious by the look of my face. I was so confused at that time because how did he know. When we arrived at my classmate's house, I asked for a mirror and there I saw my tomato like face. It was so embarrassing knowing that I am still young at that time and some stranger saw me that way. **I talk too much** When you know me personally especially if you are one of my friends, you will really describe me as a talkative person. Yes, I am so talkative like when I see you I can't stop talking about nonsense things. I talk random stuffs with just one sitting. That trait of me will be doubled or rather tripled when I am drunk. I can relate with any topic and can easily share some things and thoughts about it like I already experienced all of it. From time to time they would tell me that I am so noisy but after a while they would just go with what I am talking about. **I laugh so hard** Aside from talking too much, I also laugh so hard and loud when the spirit of alcohol is in my system. When I'm under the spell of alcohol I can laugh easily even with the stupidest joke. The last time that I got drunk was when I visited our boarding house together with my boardmates who eventually became my family and that was last July 24-25, 2021. I think it was 9 P.M. when we started our drinking session. We started it in this cottage at the back of the house, by the way the house is located just a few meters from the sea, then when the clock hits 10 P.M. we continued the session inside. Some of us already went upstairs to sleep. We finished the first few bottles so someone bought another set of drinks and I didn't like it because it was so strong for me. I turned red with just a sip. Due to that I stopped drinking and just remained there to have some fun. I stayed up, up until 7 A.M in the morning just laughing with them and sharing some life experiences, and let myself be amazed of the magic that someone had performed. According to my boardmates who went upstairs early, they can't sleep because of our loud laughs especially me. **CLOSING THOUGHT** Always drink responsibly. Don't let the alcohol take over of your rational thoughts. Just drink according to what your body can take. If you're already drunk then stop. If you want to drink again then atleast wait for the alcohol subside. Always see to it that the people you are drinking with are trustworthy. Don't join in a circle wherein most of the people are strangers to you. When you are drinking with your friends don't let your guard down because even your so called friends can do terrible things when they're under the spirit of alcohol.

Answering Questions:Slam Book Challenge August 15, 2021. Good day! So today, I'll be answering some slam book questions. Hope you'll gonna enjoy this. I found this question at https://questionsgems.com/slam-book-questions/ I'm gonna answer this one truthfully. Have I been cheated on? Yes. I've been cheated a couple of times already. First is by my so called "first love", lol. I actually just found it out recently when one of our classmates back in highschool video chatted me and somehow we are able to talk about the past and he said, "They were already in a relationship while you are still together." Second is by the guy that I was in a relationship after the first cheater. So, yeah I've been cheated on 2 consecutive times already. Have I ever cheated? Well, yeah. After finding out that the second guy cheated on me, I also cheated on him. Basically, we were just cheating on each other. When I was little I always say that I want to be a teacher when I grow up. Well, that's what most kid say. I always find teaching interesting. I like how teachers were able to teach children regardless the fact that kids are so hard to deal with. It was my 2nd year in highschool when this one particular teacher awaken my love for biology. Right there and then I decided that I wanna take up BSEd-Biology when I enter college. But it all changed. I was 16 years old by the time that I didn't find teaching interesting anymore. I was in the stage of self doubt. I can't decide what path to take. So here I am. A taking up BSBA-Major in Marketing Management and is currently on my senior year. I think it would be my soft spot for everyone that surrounds me. I just hate it that whenever someone have done something bad at me it would just take a couple of days and I'll forgive them instantly though they don't know about it. It's just so annoying because some people would take me for granted knowing that whatever they do I'll forget about it eventually and would start caring for them again. You will know that I have forgiven you if I started talking to you again. The worst place? This is definitely the place that I am currently living at. I'm just gonna call it a place or a house because I stopped calling it "my home" 4 years ago. This is the worst place ever. Why? Because a home should be where you feel secure, comfortable, and happy but this is the opposite of it. I don't feel secure, comfortable, and most especially happy in this place. There is just so many reasons why I feel that way. Those are as follows Lot's of fighting They'll gonna tell in you in the face that they're the one feeding you so you should do this and that They'll gonna tell you that they are suffering because of you They'll gonna degrade you Negative stuffs well be thrown at you You're disrespectful if you try to defend yourself That's just few of the reasons why. My own meaning of life never really changed. For me life should be live happily and your happiness shouldn't be dictated by other people's approval and opinions. If something makes you happy you should go for it. Don't mind what other people's opinion especially if they're not really part of it and they have nothing to do about it. Just go for what makes you happy but be sure you are not hurting anyone or getting on anyone's way. Make every second of life counts. If you could do something to day, if you want to tell someone about how you feel then tell them before it's too late because we never know what will happen the next day, next month or next year. Do it now before you regret it. Bravest thing? Maybe I can say that the bravest thing I've ever done was walking away from the people that I used to love and cherish. Since my parents died I found a friend and I treated her family as my family too. I used to hang out with them, laugh with them, and share some thoughts about life with them. They definitely treated me as a part of their family too. I can feel and see it. But somethings really do happen. They just started ignoring and not talking to me. I was so puzzled as to why they were like that. As far as I remember, I didn't do something that gonna upset them. I feel betrayed at that time. I stopped visiting their house. I also stopped talking to my friend. I distanced myself. Up until now I still don't have any idea why they acted like that. I also don't have a plan of asking them why. I just gonna move on from it without looking back because I'm also that kind of person that will not talk to you if you don't talk to me. If I know that I didn't do something wrong then why would I talk to you. If you're acting like that then so be it. That's it for now. Hope you enjoy reading that one. Ciao 😘

To Leave or To Be Left Behind? August 13, 2021 While browsing for an article to read last night my attention was caught by this article entitled **"May, a Month To Remember"** written by @Ellehcim . The first thing that caught my attention was the question ***"To leave or to be left behind? If you would be in a tragic love setting, and choose between the two, on which side would you want to be?"*** The question is referring about your romantic relationship. I was hooked by this question since I already imagined this scenario in my head countless of times in my 5 years relationship. Believe it or not those scenarios always bring tears in my eyes. So, I thought why not answer the question by writing this article. A Little Trip Down The Memory Lane. It was October of year 2016 when we first met and know each other. He knows my brother, he knows my cousin and vice versa. He know my circle of friends and I know his. My friends know him, his friends already know me. We were schoolmates back in highschool but we're strangers with each other. A total stranger. Fast forward, we were in a relationship but after 6 months of being together we broke up. August of year 2017 my mother died, September 18 of the same year my father followed. We started talking again a couple of months before that tragic incident. He was there for me when that happened and that's when we started dating again. He was my courage back then up until now. He supported me with everything and I did supported him too. **The Question** *"To leave or to be left behind? If you would be in a tragic love setting, and choose between the two, on which side would you want to be?"* I have been left behind by the two most important persons in my life, my Nanay and Tatay. Don't ask me how painful it was but I can say that it was a very traumatic experience. Yes, very traumatic to the point that by imagining those incident happening again would left my in tears. It also affected perspective in life and my decision making. As what I have mentioned above, I am in a 5 year relationship with my man. If I would be in a tragic love setting, I would choose to be the one who will be left behind and suffer. *Why?* Throughout our relationship I already saw different side of him. I saw how he is when he's angry. I saw him when he's happy and I already witnessed how he was when he's heartbroken. Heartbroken because of the choices that I made before. We've come to a situation wherein I decided to leave him. I will not explain how that happened but trust me it's my fault and not his, he is so good to me this whole time. I ended our relationship without any valid reason, just me being so dramatic and over thinking my life. He begged me not to leave him and cried in front of me, he almost bend he's knees but I stopped him. It continued for a month. Him begging me not to leave and me refusing him. I was so heartless that time and I did not saw his worth. He cried every time, as in EVERY TIME that we talk may it be on the phone or personal. Finally I senses came back and seeing him that way really broke my heart. I didn't expect him to be that vulnerable when it comes to me. I can almost picture how heart broken will he be when I leave him and I don't want that to happen. I don't want him to suffer the same pain that I experienced. I'd rather be the one to be left behind just not him because I know how he deals with pain and it's life wrecking. He loses control of himself and he's only escape is by being drunk. He even lost some weight that time. He's a total wreck. I don't mind at all going through that process again, I've been in that situation for 2 times already and I know it's heartbreaking but somehow I managed to moved one. **Other Side That I Consider** I have another answer to that question. This is too selfish though. I also want to be one who would leave. Why? It's so traumatic that I don't wanna experience it again especially if it's him. He's too special for me. He's not just a boyfriend but a brother, best friend, mentor, adviser, a shoulder to lean on, he's my everything. I know this is so selfish but I think even how strong I am I'll always be vulnerable when it comes to him. I always overthink when it comes to his safety. I panicked easily if I don't receive any messages from him the whole day. **Final Take** I know that we don't have our life in our hands but I always pray to God the safety of my love ones and the people around me. He's the one who knows what will gonna happen but I do wish that He'll not gonna take someone away from me again.

And now we're strangers... August 12, 2021 After reading @bmjc98 article about her crush I thought what if I will write something about my crush too but the question is, who? Who among my crushes back then will I be writing here about?(ang landi mo gurl hahahah) Well, there is this someone who was back then I considered as my SUPER CRUSH. ***"Its amazing when strangers become friends, but it's sad when friends become strangers."*** ***-Jeff Ervin Ramon*** We met when we are still in our 4th grade. I felt so intimidated not just by him but with his fellow classmates too. We studied in the same school but they were from the 1st section. Students from the 1st section were perceived as rich, spoiled, and brilliant ones. It's like we were in our respective class because of our social status. So, if you're wondering why they are in my class it's because their adviser is always absent, as in all the time. There were only 3 section in 4th grade that time. The section one's adviser is nowhere to be found. The adviser in section two, well we can say that she's retarded and it was our adviser who we can call as "ok". Their parents decided to transfer their children in our class. That's when I started to admire him. You know that feeling that a new student is in your class or in your school you'll definitely admire them and I don't know why it's like that. The other 2 new girls in our class were friendly. They were put in front of where I was seated so we became friends instantly. But him? Nah, I can't remember the time when we started talking but after a while we were able get along somehow. I also can't remember what was the reason of all the teasing that we got that year. Yes, we were teased not just by our classmates but our adviser also joined our classmate's childish act. And you know what's worst? Our parents knows about it and somehow my mother and his became friends. My entire year in 4th grade was like that. It just ended when school year ends. **Fifth grade.** We're not classmates during that time. He was on the first section and I was on the 3rd. We never talked again. We never say hello to each other every time our path crossed. It's like we don't know each other. It's like our friendship while still in fourth grade doesn't exist. We are a complete stranger the entire fifth grade. It didn't bothered me at all. Fifth grade was so quick. When it was on I think 2 months before school year ends, my adviser chose me to run for a position in the student council together with my other classmate and I did. To my surprise, he was their too. He run for the highest position, the President, and I belong to his party as one of his Councilors. Luckily, we won. **Enrollment for sixth grade.** My adviser in fifth grade told me that I should enroll in first section since I have a position in the student council. I was adamant at enrolling in other section at first but as a young student my teacher was able to convinced me. And yes, I enrolled in their class. **First day of school**. I feel so nervous since I was not familiar with my new classmates and my financial and social status was far from them. Luckily, my friends when I was still in fourth grade was there. They welcomed me with open arms. Him? He's just there never minding me. As time goes by we were able to talk again and regain the friendship that we once had. The teasing started again. It's like they never forgot. I don't know why but we started to act as if we really like each other. I can still remember that we used to hold hands while walking back to our classroom from our office (Student Council has an office by the way) and our friends would tease us even more, and we're just there smiling. Our situation while in fourth grade happened again. Our teacher also teased us and it didn't stopped there. She rearranged our seats. We were put beside our crushes. I think there are 5 pairs in our class who was in the same situation that we are. It was so awkward. He used to put his portfolio in between our chairs and I also put my bag to separate us. We never talked while in class but our teacher and classmates still teases us though. There are times that we're ok and there also times that we're not. Graduation came and we never talked again since then. We parted ways though we live in the same municipality. Our school were rivals. Despite that there's this story about him that never left my mind. As what my friend says, he was playing "Pinoy Henyo" with his classmates and friends. It was his turn, I can't remember who or what is written in the paper that was put in his forehead for him to guess but it goes like this... *"My crush?"* *"Yes. Yes.!"* And then, according to his friend he mentioned my name. During that 4 years in highschool I think our path only crosses a couple of times. I was in my junior year when I run as a Vice-President for the Student Council and got that position. We went to their school together with my fellow officers. I don't remember what's the term but we need to elect some kind of officers. There are 3 high schools in our municipality and all the Student Council Officers are gathered in their school. As usual, being the brilliant him he was elected as their Student Council's President. As we arrived in the venue, I can see my classmates back in sixth grade greeting me and our President who is also my best friend and my classmate back then. We chatted with them while waiting for others to arrive. Then, he came together with his fellow officers too. I know some of them and exchanged some hello's and greetings but not with him. We never talked the entire meeting. Sometimes I would glance at him but I never saw him glancing back. He was just their sitting together with his girlfriend. I was there together with my boyfriend too. The meeting ended and he got the top position, I know he'll be elected for that without a doubt. We exchanged congratulations and such. I'm very attentive with my surroundings that I was able to hear my ex-classmates talking with their friends about the other officers and they would refer me as "His crush". Years already passed and it's like it's still so fresh for them, for the people that surrounds us. While me and him? We're like strangers and we don't know each other completely. After I graduated in highschool, somehow I landed a job in their business. I rarely see him coz his studying but when his around, we never talked. I don't know why we became like that. Yes, I used to have feelings for him for so many years but I feel sorry that we became like this. It's our friendship that I feel sorry about or maybe he never really considered me as his friend. We used to laughed together, eat our snacks together, play together and now we're strangers. A complete stranger. ***To him,*** ***Thank you for the friendship that we once had. I treasure everything about it even the awkward moments. Thank you for making my elementary days unforgettable. That was so cliche but it made my young heart flutter. We might never talk again in this lifetime but I'll never forget you. Take care always and God bless you and your family.***

3 Down, 3 More to go.... August 11, 2021 It's fulfilling when you are able to finish things that are long been in your to do list. As I've woken up this 10 A.M in the morning, as usual, I was greeted by a chat from my group mates in one of our group chat for our activity saying that we should gather together for us to generate some ideas and be able to share our thoughts about how would we do our activities. And so the war between us and our modules begun....... **EVENTS MANAGEMENT** *Events create opportunities for people to connect with an area, spend time together, celebrate and experience the diversity of culture and foster creativity and innovation.* Through successful events we are able to celebrate important occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, town fiesta, and even celebrating company's success through charity events. Events can be define not just what I have mentioned above but also those activities that are about arts and entertainment, business and trade, sports competition, recreational, educational and scientific, as well as those of politics and state. Since it is written in our module for this course that we need to make the necessary activities by group, our instructor instructed us to choose our own group members, minimum of 4 and maximum of 7, that we are comfortable to work with and we should also consider those that live not far from us for us to work closely considering the situation now that COVID-19 is still active. Luckily, my roommates who are taking the same course as I do, we are in the same municipality. After we decided and finalize that we are going to be group mates for this course we started planning our meeting immediately. We have decided to meet a day after that and we didn't really work hard on our activities since a lot of catching up happened but still we are able to finish 1 activity and already started the next one. After 3 meetings with them we are able to finish all the necessary activities. We are all happy that we knocked out one course out of 6. **FOREIGN LANGUAGE** For our Foreign Language 1 I thought that we will be thought how to speak Korean language since a lot of Filipino wanted to learn about it but I am wrong, as always HAHAHAHA. I saw this post from one of my classmates saying that Mandarin is the one that we need to practice speaking for our class. And I was like, "Mandarin? As in Chinese?", I've been watching CDrama and I have noticed the way that the actors speak and practiced it for myself but their language is very hard to speak and from that moment I know that all I have to do is just to pass this course not minding what grade will I be getting. True to what I have expected, speaking in Mandarin is very hard especially the way that you should pronounce their words. Like they are spelled the same way but their pronunciation is different. But despite that I was still able to pass all the activities and I hope that it is all correct, and if not? I'm still ok with it. Just let me pass this sem. **DALUMATFIL** This one. This is the one that I thought would be easy and that our instructor for this would be very understanding but like what I said, I'm always WRONG. Why? Why I'm always wrong when it comes to first impressions? So, yeah this one is a little to tough I guess. What makes me say that? Well, in one of our activities we were tasked to make a video which should contain a short film about the new way of how Filipino speak, like Taglish, gay lingua, jejemon and all other similar stuff to that. We, WE, should be the actors together with the people in our house. Considering my situation I know that I will not be able to do this task alone, like how will I film myself in a 10 minute video? If you're a student, you know that a 10 minute video needs a lot of scenes. We even sent a message for her saying that can we atleast do it by pair but she said no. We sent here another message saying if she can atleast lower it to 5 minutes and still she said no. Do you know what I did? Well, I made a video for that activity and even edited that one but sad to say I was not able to submit it because our only means of communication is thru Messenger and you can't send large videos through it. My grades? I don't. I just hope that it's not a failing grade. *That was just 3 out of 6. I still have a lot of things to do and I'm doing it one step at a time. I'll finish all of it maybe in a week or two. I'm gonna update you when I finish all of it.*

What pushes me to pursue college, rather who? August 10, 2021 As we all know, entering college requires a huge amount of money and as I graduated high school on year 2015 where free tuition still doesn’t exists, these stopped me from pursuing my dreams. Year 2015, when our graduation day is slowly approaching, I can hear my schoolmates planning their college life like where they would study college and how excited they are. My circle of friends would often share their plans after high school with me and I would also share mine not minding if I would really go to college. Being academically inclined that time, I wasn’t able to see the financial status of our family and all I believed was that after graduation I would enroll in a university just like how I planned it to be. Our big day came, we were all happy that finally after 4 years of studying in high school we can now proceed to college. Enrollment day for college came and what my father said broke my heart. *“Dili sa ka mo skwela ug college Sat kay wa man tay kwarta” (We don’t have enough money so you can’t attend college yet.)* that’s what my father told me when I approached him saying that I want to enroll in college and that broke my heart. My dreams shattered that day and I cried silently in our room. I mourned for it for more than a month. So, to help my parents in our finances I worked in a computer shop for almost a year. Throughout that span of time working, I was able to help my parents in buying our daily needs. It makes me happy that I can provide food for our family even with the small amount that I get. My salary just a small amount but its still money. **The Big Day Came** After almost a year of working my father fulfilled his promise. He let me enroll in a community college in the nearby municipality while my older brother enrolled in a university since our cousin would be the one supporting him financially. I was so happy that time. I came home after a day in the community college for my enrollment with a genuine smile on my face. I can still remember how proud I am while telling my parents what the person-in-charge for the entrance exam has told me after getting a score of 103 out of 120 items, *“Baltok man ini na bata” (This kid is brilliant)*, that’s the exact word that he told me. But we all know that despite our small success there will always be someone that would put your hopes down. *“Nagpa-enroll gajud bisan ug way kwarta. Di kasabot.” (You did really enroll huh?! You really can’t understand our situation),* that is what my grandmother has told us that day and my father replied, *“Just let her be. I can manage.”*. My dreams were not just my dreams but my parents’ too. **My supporters and fans** My parents were my number one as far as I remember. They never cease to support me with all of their might with the things that I do. They would always encourage me to be a better version of myself and pushed me to try new things. Whenever I shared with them my plans about academics and how skeptical I was if I can do it, they would always say *“Yeah, do that. We know that you can do that.”*. They always believed in me despite my lack of confidence with everything. They are my strength and my confidence. They would always tell their friends how proud they are that they have me as their daughter. And when they died, I lost my confidence. Whenever I doubt myself, no one was there to cheer me up and tell me that I got this. **The anti** Since my parents died, all that was left was my brothers and my grandmother together his son which is my father’s brother. I always knew to myself that all they have against me was their faith that I would not be able to finish college and that I would get pregnant at a young age. I can hear them telling that to other people or even to my friends. They never believed in me. They doubted me in every possible way. I received different kinds of hurtful words from them. Yes, it hurts, it hurts so bad knowing that I am their own flesh and blood yet that's how they looked at me but that didn’t stop me. **My Anchor** With all the chaos and doubt that I received that time, I found my anchor. I was already ready to sail and just give my haters what they have predicted my future to be but someone hold me in place. Whenever I doubt myself, he was always there cheering me up in. He supported me mentally, emotionally, physically, and even in my financial problems he was there. He never leaves my side. He became my shoulder to lean on. He was with me fighting every battle that life has given me. We received different kinds of criticisms from my so-called family (my Lola and his son) but we never backed down. Every time that I feel like giving up with everything, he was there to remind me that I have a dream, my parents’ dream. *With all the people that is surrounding me together with their negativity and support, thank you. Without all of you, I wouldn’t be able to reach this far. I know I still have a long way to go but I’m almost there. Just a year of hustling and I can finally prove to you that you are all wrong about me. Just wait and we all shall see. My future diploma is my revenge to you.*

Including You in My Everyday Life Since the pandemic started, classes were suspended and we are all advised to stay at home to avoid being infected of Covid-19 and stop it from spreading. We all gone through feeling stressed, annoyed, and bored. We are all used of being free and not staying at home for too long but it all changed when Covid-19 reached our country. Because of it we developed traits that are unhealthy for our body. We tend to stay laying in the bed for too long just scrolling through our mobile phones which exposes us to radiation. We sit in our couch doing nothing and not being able to sweat all the toxins that our body has. I am not proud but I’m gonna admit that I am one of those people that were mentioned above. This pandemic made me lazier than I was before. I can stay in my bed for the whole doing nothing but scrolling through social medias and not even doing my modules. I stayed up all night exposed in radiation or just by simply having an insomnia attack which I really hate the most and getting up 12 noon or even later in the afternoon. This lifestyle was worse than I imagined. When face to face classes was still allowed, I was able to sweat toxins from my body just by walking from the boarding house that I used to live in and going to my classes every day. The tiredness enables me to sleep early and not having my insomnia. Being able to realize this situation that I have, I tried exercising but eventually I stopped after a few days of working out. And now with the opportunity of buying my own bicycle, I decided on having a stroll every afternoon in order to sweat away all the negativities that life has given me. Today, I am on my 6th day of cycling. As far as I have observed, I can easily sleep early (when I say early it is 9:00-10:00 PM because I usually sleep at around 2:00-4:00 AM in the morning and that is because I have trouble in sleeping early and I don’t know why) and woke up a lot earlier than I used to. The picture below was a photo of me that I captured yesterday while resting a bit before continuing my ride. Here are some of the health benefits that you can gain in cycling that I had found in the internet. I hope it helps you the that it does to me. ***BENEFITS OF CYCLING*** ***Cycling for health and fitness*** *It only takes two to four hours a week to achieve a general improvement to your health. Cycling is:* *Low impact – it causes less strain and injuries than most other forms of exercise.* *A good muscle workout– cycling uses all of the major muscle groups as you pedal.* *Easy – unlike some other sports, cycling does not require high levels of physical skill. Most people know how to ride a bike and, once you learn, you don’t forget.* *Good for strength and stamina– cycling increases stamina, strength and aerobic fitness.* *As intense as you want– cycling can be done at very low intensity to begin with, if recovering from injury or illness, but can be built up to a demanding physical workout.* *A fun way to get fit– the adventure and buzz you get from coasting down hills and being outdoors means you are more likely to continue to cycle regularly, compared to other physical activities that keep you indoors or require special times or places.* *Time-efficient – as a mode of transport, cycling replaces sedentary (sitting) time spent driving motor vehicles or using trams, trains or buses with healthy exercise.* ***Health benefits of regular cycling*** *Cycling is mainly an aerobic activity, which means that your heart, blood vessels and lungs all get a workout. You will breathe deeper, perspire and experience increased body temperature, which will improve your overall fitness level.* ***The health benefits of regular cycling include:*** *increased cardiovascular fitness* *increased muscle strength and flexibility* *improved joint mobility* *decreased stress levels* *improved posture and coordination* *strengthened bones* *decreased body fat levels* *prevention or management of disease* *reduced anxiety and depression.* ***Cycling and specific health issues*** *Cycling can improve both physical and mental health, and can reduce the chances of experiencing many health problems.* ***Obesity and weight control*** *Cycling is a good way to control or reduce weight, as it raises your metabolic rate, builds muscle and burns body fat. If you’re trying to lose weight, cycling must be combined with a healthy eating plan. Cycling is a comfortable form of exercise and you can change the time and intensity – it can be built up slowly and varied to suit you.* *Research suggests you should be burning at least 8,400 kilojoules (about 2,000 calories) a week through exercise. Steady cycling burns about 1,200 kilojoules (about 300 calories) per hour.* *If you cycle twice a day, the kilojoules burnt soon add up. British research shows that a half-hour bike ride every day will burn nearly five kilograms of fat over a year.* ***Cardiovascular disease and cycling*** *Cardiovascular diseases include stroke, high blood pressure and heart attack. Regular cycling stimulates and improves your heart, lungs and circulation, reducing your risk of cardiovascular diseases.* *Cycling strengthens your heart muscles, lowers resting pulse and reduces blood fat levels. Research also shows that people who cycle to work have two to three times less exposure to pollution than car commuters, so their lung function is improved. A Danish study conducted over 14 years with 30,000 people aged 20 to 93 years found that regular cycling protected people from heart disease.* ***Cancer and cycling*** *Many researchers have studied the relationship between exercise and cancer, especially colon and breast cancer. Research has shown that if you cycle, the chance of bowel cancer is reduced. Some evidence suggests that regular cycling reduces the risk of breast cancer.* ***Diabetes and cycling*** *The rate of type 2 diabetes is increasing and is a serious public health concern. Lack of physical activity is thought to be a major reason why people develop this condition. Large-scale research in Finland found that people who cycled for more than 30 minutes per day had a 40 per cent lower risk of developing diabetes.* ***Bone injuries, arthritis and cycling*** *Cycling improves strength, balance and coordination. It may also help to prevent falls and fractures. Riding a bike is an ideal form of exercise if you have osteoarthritis, because it is a low-impact exercise that places little stress on joints.* *Cycling does not specifically help osteoporosis (bone-thinning disease) because it is not a weight-bearing exercise.* ***Mental illness and cycling*** *Mental health conditions such as depression, stress and anxiety can be reduced by regular bike riding. This is due to the effects of the exercise itself and because of the enjoyment that riding a bike can bring.* ***Hand cycling and health*** *Hand cycles are similar to recumbent tricycles, but they are powered with hand instead of foot pedals. Velcro straps can be used to secure the hands to the pedals if necessary.* *This style of tricycle allows amputees, people with spinal injuries and those recovering from certain conditions such as stroke to cycle as a form of exercise and recreation. Hand cyclists get cardiovascular and aerobic benefits similar to those of other cyclists.* *Source:* *Better Health Channel* *https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/healthyliving/cycling-health-benefits*

My friends: Long Term/Acquaintances? *We find friends in an unexpected situation and build that relationship with them throughout the years. And as you grew older, our life will change as well as our priorities and the way we communicate with people.* *We might cut our ties with our childhood friends and would never talk to them like how we used to. But there are exceptional friendships that tend to survive the test of time and would remain strong despite the lack of bonding and communication. We might be friends with a lot of people but only or one of them would remain your friend in your life.* *In this article, I’ll be sharing with you my relationships with people whom I think are my friends and hopefully they think of me as their friend too.* **JADMIECA** JADMIECA stands for Jundel, Aiza, Diego, Mitzi, Irish, Erna, Carlo and Arliza(Me). Our friendship started when we were in our last year high school. I’ve met Erna when I was still in elementary since we’re classmates when we are still in first grade and became friend in sixth grade when became classmates again. As for Jundel, Diego, Mitzi, Irish and Carlo we’ve met when started in high school but we never really that close and you can’t call us as “Friends” at that time. Our friendship was built slowly as we go through our journey in our secondary years. Here comes our third year in high school and there it slowly started the relationship that we have up until now. Since then, we were inseparable and would do things in groups. We would eat our snacks and lunch together, since we all bring our lunch in school and would share things that we have with each other. I could still remember the way we talked about how we want to travel at that certain age, like how we would just hop in on a bus and would not pay our fare or we would perform on streets to gain an amount that we can use (I know it is impossible but that how the way we think when we are younger since we thought that life is easy as eating banana, HAHAHA). And we have done so many silly things like not wearing our shoes or sleepers when we buy our snacks in our canteen with the reason that someone wears one of our friends’ shoes, since our shoes was not allowed inside our classroom unless you wear your foot socks or foot rag in order to not get our floor dirty. That is just the two of the so many silly things that we enjoyed to do when we are still in high school. As we graduated, we didn’t have that stable communication with each other since we have taken a different path and most of us have entered college unlike while we are in high school. A get together will be organized but one or two in our group would not be able to attend because there is a lot more important thing that needs to be attended than spending their time with us and we never felt angry about because we fully understand that we are not those high schoolers anymore. We are already preparing for the things that are ahead of us. And now that almost all of us already got their diplomas and are working, our friendship remains. Despite the differences that we have right now, our friendship remained strong as if 7 years never passed. **OTHER FRIENDS** As I have my friends who stayed with me throughout the years and never changed, I also have so many friends that are very close to my hearts but one day we ended up not talking anymore. Some of them became busy with their lives and some of them just stopped talking to me with no reason. It's just so sad when you put a lot of trust to them and treated them not just your friend but as more than just a sister and they stop talking to you and you didn't know why. I have this one friend whom I share my secrets with and treated her more like a sister. We've been friends for almost 5 years. I would visit her in their house and talked with her about life for hours, spends quality time with her. We would comfort each other if anyone of us have problems or something that bothers us. I never thought that there would come a time that she would ignore me and stop talking to me because clearly I didn't see her like that and for me there was more to us, for me she's my sister. But things really do happen. And now, we might be talking but not the way that we are months ago. I'm still not over with what she did and I still feel betrayed. I know she's trying to fix us but we'll see if. I'm not closing my door to her because after all she's my friend and I'm still human, I already have forgiven her but I can't forget what she did. I'll just let time heal everything inside of me. **Realizations** People come and go and true friends are hard to find. You might have a close friend right now but after a few months or years you’ll slowly fall apart and would start to never talk again like how you used to talk right at this moment. Choose your friends wisely and be careful on who you share your life and secrets with because we never know if who you thought your friend was true or they’re just there to know your secrets so they can tell the world about it. There are also parasites camouflaged and called as “FRIENDS”, and when they have sucked all of you, they just leave you wondering what went wrong. So, if you’ve found someone who stays with you despite the changes that both of you may encounter, despite not being able to talk with each other for ages, who stays true to you and treat you not just a friend but a sister or brother, please don’t make any mistakes that might ruin you’re the friendship that you have. Because friends are your extended family.

To my Tatay.... It's been 4 years since I last celebrated the Father's Day with my Father. How time flies so fast, it still feel like yesterday when we laughed together with his jokes. It still feel like yesterday when he would tease me with boyfriend stuffs. It still feel like yesterday when he would bring me to the bus stop and would wait for me to go home from school. It still feel like yesterday when he would bring us some food when he got home from all days work. It still feel like yesterday when he would put his arms around my shoulders in front of his friends and brag about how well I've done in my studies. It still feel like yesterday when he would brag about me with his colleagues that someday I'll be his only daughter who have finished a degree. It still feel like yesterday when he would want me to serve his food. It still feel like yesterday when he would share his plans for our family with me. Yes, we are not like the typical father and daughter. We have this father and daughter relationship which is more like a friendship. My father would share his plans and problems with me. He was so protective when I was still in high school but it all changed when I turned 18. He would let me do the things that I want. He now let me do a sleepover at my friend's house which he forbids me years ago. He can openly joke about me having a boyfriend but not years ago. We would hang out together as a family and talk about life. Despite the bond that we had there are still things that I was not able to tell him. I wasn't able to tell him that I love him. I wasn't able to tell him that I am proud of being his daughter, that I'm proud for having him as my father. I wasn't able to tell him how thankful I am everytime he would bring me to the bus stop. I wasn't able to tell him everyday to take care of his self. I didn't even greet him "Happy Father's Day". I had all the chances to do such things but I didn't. I was so coward. I wasn't able to show him, them, how much I loved and cared for them. I regretted all of it. If only I can turn those times back again, I would tell them how much I love them, each and everyday. Of only I had known that they will be gone too soon I would behave differently and wouldn't give them headache and heartaches. Time really is important. Time really is gold. If you can do something right now, right at this moment, do it. Tell your parents that you love them. Tell them that you care for them. Thank them for taking care of you and for providing your needs, even your wants. Hug them tight and let them feel the warmth of your embrace. Listen to what they say. Be proud of them. Do it. Right now. Before it's too late. Before you regret what you never did. Because we never know what tomorrow would bring.

What life has given me... Hi! It’s my first time here at Read cash and this is my first entry article here. I’m hoping that I can make this the way that I envisioned this to be. Have you ever been in a situation that you thought you can’t see yourself being happy again? Like yourself just died together with the most important people in your life? Never in my wildest imagination I have imagined that I would be in this situation. We were happy, we are at our happiest. We’re not that perfect as a family but we’re happy. My parents strived hard to send us three to school. We’ve experienced attending our classes with only 3 pesos for our snacks, though we can still attend classes with it, but as a child who sees her classmates eating their snacks that their parents prepared for them or her classmates buying those colorful snacks that a child would want, 3 pesos is not enough. I envied my classmates who can buy those beautiful coloring books that sales people used to endorsed in our school. I wanted to own, color, and read the stories of those beautiful princesses. But 20 pesos? We’d rather buy a food for hungry stomach than those printed papers. I don’t know if it was just me but at a young age I already know where our financial status was. I never asked my parents to buy me those things that I want because I know, the most important thing for them is what we need. As a child who should be out playing with other kids, I was there helping my parents growing our crops and helping my mom in selling it. We would walk all around three 5 barangays carrying 5 kilos of our crops in my little hands. It’s heavy for a Grade 3 student but I never complained because my mom is carrying much heavy crops compared to mine. After all what we have carried is sold, we would walk going back to our house under the hot sun to get some more. In the afternoon, we would help our parents in cultivating our crops so that we can harvest more the next day. That is what my childhood looks like and it change when I was on my 3rd year in high school. I can still remember how my parents would tell us that whatever happens we should finish our studies because that was the only thing that they could give us. It was all okay not until when they left us. That year everything has changed. I don’t have my beloved mother and father with me anymore. We were left with nothing. I don’t know where to start or if I wanted to continue my life. I would cry every night and would wake up just realizing that we are on our own from that day onward. There was even a time when I can’t look at their coffins and would tell myself that that was all just a dream and that I would wake up anytime soon. I waited but I never woke up. It was all real. My world was shattered into million pieces. There is nothing, no one, who can ease the pain the I was feeling. I lose weight, I would be up late every night and woke up so late. I feel so exhausted from everything and just wanted to end the pain. It’s been years now. I don’t even know if the wound is already healed. I don’t even know if I already accepted the fact that I am on my own. But one thing is for sure, I already have the courage to continue my life and achieve what my parents dreamed for me. Where ever the both of you are, I miss you so bad. I love you two.
