What a mystery at the bottom of the ocean
A team of scientists is trying to find out what is deep in the Atlantic Ocean.
British scientists are leading the mission to unravel the mystery of the bottom of the ocean.
The name of this project is Atlas.
24 research institutes from Europe and North America are taking part in this expedition.
Started last week. Will continue for the next four years.
The scientists say the purpose of their study is to gain an idea of the deep unknown environment of the Atlantic Ocean and to understand the changes that are taking place in the currents of this ocean and its effects on the climate.
Never before has there been such a large-scale study.

During this time many samples will be collected from the bottom of the ocean, the animals that live in the water many kilometers below will be captured in the video.
professor J. Marie Roberts, an oceanographer at Harriet-Watt University, is involved in the study.
He says the research will be conducted at a depth of three to four thousand meters in the ocean.
“Somewhere along the Atlantic Ocean, the environment is very diverse. The eco-system there is very rich. There are all kinds of corals and sponges, and all kinds of animals. ”
