Earth's history refers to the entire period from the origin of the planet Earth to the present time. All branches of the natural sciences have helped people to understand the realities of the past. The age of the earth is about one third of the age of the universe. During this vast period of time, innumerable geological changes have taken place on the earth, life has evolved and evolution has taken place in that life.

No one could give specific information about the creation of the earth

No stone survived the beginning of the creation of the earth, so it is not possible to say exactly when the earth was created. However, it is thought that the Earth was the result of a series of collisions about 100 million years after the creation of the solar system. 4.54 billion years ago today, the planet Earth took shape, got a center of iron and an atmosphere.

Earth-moon collision

The Earth collides with a Martian-shaped asteroid called Thea. The Earth is relatively still, but the atmosphere disappears and this asteroid is destroyed. The moon is made from its ruins.

Molten Lover Sea Editing

The Earth became heated as a result of the collision with Thea. Around the sea where molten lava is toggling. The condition of Venus is the same as it is now. Gradually the earth cools down, and the lava congeals to form the first ocean of rocks and water. At this time the world's oldest mineral, zircon, was created. They are about 4.4 billion years old.

Now different continents of the world are sitting on all the giant tectonic plates. Primitive tectonic plates were much smaller. Among them, precious metals like gold and silver are often found in large quantities. The first continents were formed about 3.6 billion years ago.

The first breath of life

The first oxygen came from photosynthesis about 3.5 billion years ago. The first oxygen comes from cyanobacteria or bluish green algae that grow on rocks. But it didn’t actually do anything good. The presence of this oxygen kills some bacteria that cannot tolerate the presence of oxygen. Thus, 2.4 billion years ago, the amount of oxygen in the earth increased a lot, which is called the "Great Oxygenation Crisis".

One billion years of innocence

Nothing much happened on Earth a billion years after the first continent was created. It's been a boring time. The continents were stuck in a traffic jam, meaning there was not much movement. There was no improvement in life at this time.

Great-continental editing

One of the great continents is Pangaya. Through Pangaya, the whole continent is divided into many continents. Still, by looking at different mountains, researchers can find out exactly how different parts of the world came together to form these huge continents.

Terrible winter editing

750 million years ago, a large continent suddenly separated from the others. At this time the earth became absolutely cold and turned into a huge ice ball. At that time the surface was covered with glaciers. Even in the equatorial region there were glaciers.

Explosion of life

Oxygen resurfaced in the atmosphere 650 million years ago and at this time various living things began to emerge. Multicellular animals come along with unicellular animals. It is during this period that prey and predators emerge.

Extinction of fauna

The largest extinction in the history of the world occurred in the Permian period 252 million years ago. In just 60,000 years, about 90 percent of living things became extinct. Eighty-five percent of living things, including dinosaurs, became extinct during the Cretaceous period 6 million years ago. The cause of this extinction in the Permian period was a huge eruption in Siberia. Extinction has also been observed due to climate change. A massive ice age 450 million years ago caused the extinction of 75 percent of the species.

Ice Age

Five great ice ages are seen in the history of the world. Did you know that we are still living in the middle of an ice age? This ice age began about 11,500 years ago today.

Plastic era?

There is so much plastic waste at the present time that many scientists are calling it the plastic age or plasticine period. Some of these plastics have been transformed into a new type of stone. Millions of years from now, traces of these plastics can still be found on Earth.
