Victoria Memorial Hall
Victoria Memorial Hall or Victoria Memorial is a memorial to Queen Victoria in Kolkata, West Bengal. Note that Victoria was entitled to the title of Empress of India. Named after Queen Victoria of England, the white stone monument is now a national museum and one of the most important tourist attractions in Kolkata.

Design:
Sir William Emerson designed the Victoria Monument in the style of Belfast City Hall architecture. Does. Vincent S. was the superintendent architect of this monument. The garden adjoining the monument was designed by Lord Redsdale and Sir John Praine. Martin & Company of Calcutta was entrusted with the task of construction.

Queens Way, Dancing Fountain, to the north of the Victoria Memorial, then the sprawling Brigade Parade Grounds; To the south by Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road and then Seth Sukhlal Karanani alias PG Hospital; Formerly St. Paul's Cathedral Church in Calcutta, Birla Taramandal, Academy of Fine Arts and Rabindra Sadan; And to the west is the Calcutta Racecourse Ground. There are huge gates on both the north and south sides of the Smritisodha building. The two huge reservoirs on either side of the wide road from the north gate to the building simultaneously maintain the balance of the environment and at the same time enhance the beauty of the display. Lovers of all ages become visually nostalgic by visualizing or capturing the lens! The obsession of silence is still found at dusk in the position of innumerable new lovers in the trunks of big trees surrounded by picturesque gardens! Construction of the huge white stone Victoria Memorial began in 1906. The monument was inaugurated in 1921. In the highest dome of the monument there is a black bronze statue of Vijayaduti holding a bugle. The statue, placed on a pedestal with ball-bearings when the wind is strong, acts as a windmill. IIST-Alumni AC Mitra is the executive architect of Victoria's construction project. According to a high-level environmental scientist, pollution in Kolkata has left a lasting impression on the white stone of the Victoria Memorial. It is important to protect the century-old monument from this contamination; Because, Victoria Memorial is a symbol of Kolkata's pride in the world!
