This is a famous question I recently seen in Quora, I answered it but I will address the question here in a different way.
Will China be Isolated by all the Developed countries in the World? Why we should say that? Because of the covid epidemic or because China originated it? Or maybe because of the Chinese competition in trade?
As I already answered, this is highly unlikely. Even if the US try to ban China and lot of its products, Chinese products are deeply rooted in all cultures around the world, including that of the United States.
Have you read Foundation by Isaac Asimov? If not, you should. Not because of the history of Galactic Empire or other science fiction matters. But because, contrary to other science fiction authors, Isaac Asimov base all his stories on real things. And in this novel, the trade is the real thing that really matter.
Read the novel and you'll understand the true power of Commerce. And you will realize (you maybe already realized it) that commercial dependency is today the real power, is a form of control much stronger than colonialism, alienation, occupation, war, oppression or dictatorship. The commercial dependency is, among all of them, the worst and the least invasive at the same time.
The best form of domination is the one where the dominated is not aware of being dominated, where domination is, instead, a desirable condition.
The US tried to dominate the world throughout a cultural influence and, in many aspects and in many countries, they succeeded. But commercial domination is stronger than cultural one, because if you get aware of being culturally dominated, you could stop it by not wanting it. Instead, if you get the habit to use a product that work best for you, you have no reason to stop wanting or using it. You will need it instead. Indeed China is preparing, achieving and succeeding this kind of domination.
Today everybody need products (cheap or not) made in China and not only these ones, but also you'll need replacements, spare parts and maintenance. The US banned Android to run on Huawei phones only to make these phones stronger. Because they are making their own operating system and those buying the phones will get even more dependent from them. It's like you use Windows every day, you will not change it without a very good reason. The only thing the US government is achieving is to provide Google's Android a new and dangerous rival.
Like Huawei, there are plenty of chinese products around that we use every day and we will not stop using. Now, what happens if the supplier stops supplying all these things you use every day? You are lost unless you don't get something equivalent from another supplier.
Do you know how many products China sells to the world and how many alternatives there are?
Such is the dominance of China. A dominance that will only grow in the immediate future and that no one, not even the Americans, can avoid. China will dominate the world without firing a shot.
China is already very powerful now and will become even more powerful. No one can afford to isolate China. The country is too big and too important. The economic ties are too strong. All western countries buy from China and sell there. No one is interested in isolating China.
