Tips for better learning are never enough. It is never too late to change your habits and by the end of the school year or semester you will achieve much better results than you hoped for. It only takes a little effort and will with a dose of ingenuity to surprise not only yourself but also your parents and professors.

Time to Study

You study when you feel most rested, ie. try to organize your time and study at a time that suits you best. Think about what time of day you have the most energy because it is different for each person. For example, you may be a "night bird" or you may still study at five in the morning, in peace and quiet. Everything is possible. But still, try to always sleep well, because learning in the stage of insomnia and exhaustion is actually counterproductive. Of course, I say this from personal experience.

Proper Learning !

If you are learning by reading aloud, be sure to change your tactics, because that way you spend too much energy, but also time. As you learn, read within yourself and focus on the text and think about what you are reading - with this method you will remember much more in much less time. Also, do not force yourself, because that is the shortest way to fatigue and automatic loss of patience. Through many scientific papers, it has been proven that when learning new things, facts, we remember only 10% of what we hear, 30% of what we read, and as much as 90% of what we think about. That’s why it’s never good to learn at the last minute! Especially when we read poems and poetry. Reading poetry can be difficult because sometimes we don’t understand all the metaphors, but if you read carefully and think about what you read after each stanza, you’ll realize that it’s not really as complicated as it initially seemed.

Food for the mind

You will find it harder to learn on an empty stomach, so by no means skip meals! The brain is looking for food for its mind! The following are usually recommended for brain cells: vegetables, milk and dairy products, fish and nuts. On the other hand, be careful not to eat too many carbohydrates, such as sugar and sweets - because they could cause the opposite effect, drowsiness.

Quiet learning corner

Ask your family not to disturb you as you study. Also, remove all things that distract you and that could tempt you to stop learning. For example, a new movie that would be convenient to watch or a magazine waiting to be flipped through. And perhaps most important of all, turn off the sound on your cell phone! Also, make sure that the room in which you study is tidy, because believe it or not, clutter subconsciously greatly disturbs concentration.

Find additional source information

Ugh, does the material seem ultra-boring to you? The last thing that would come to your mind is to find out something more about that topic, e.g. on the internet or through some books from the library? But that is exactly the solution! If a topic or reading is too boring or unclear for you, try to find something more about reading on the Internet, maybe with new knowledge you will realize that it is not as tedious as it seemed at first! Who knows, it may be one of your favorite books to read. Again, from experience, this is not such a rare case.
