RO (Reverse Osmosis) CIP Operation

Cleaning is an important step to maintaining excellence and existence.

Reverse osmosis (RO) membranes are used in large-scale water treatment systems and distribution systems to help provide safe drinking water. Using reverse osmosis, contaminants, including biological contaminants such as pathogens, can be removed by passing water over the membrane under high pressure. Technological advances have led to compacted RO membrane modules suitable for many small or miniaturized applications where space is at a premium. This module uses a self-cleaning coating that allows for continuous self-treatment of the membrane surface.

Chemical Pass

Water pass time for cleaning reverse osmosis membrane chemicals is about 3 minutes. The chemical cycle of this process consists of chemicals acid, caustic, and a ratio between two compounds that can be made by mixing water with other compounds such as sodium hydroxide. During this time required chemicals are mixed with RO system water in enough amounts to make a chemical solution (Solution) Bubble or Water Bubbles Associated with the Chemical Solutions Flow Upstream are called "Chemical Pass"
