Hasan khan:: Sanjay Kumar Roy, a village doctor in Shikarpur port of Uzirpur upazila of Barisal district, is admitting fraud in operation and test trade.
It has been seen on the spot that Sanjay Kumar Roy, a village doctor in Shikarpur port of Uzirpur upazila, is embezzling large sums of money by putting up a signboard of various sensitive diseases next to his name in the name of treating the common people of the village.
Tanjila Begum, 30, who came to Sanjay for treatment at the village doctor on Wednesday afternoon, said Sanjay Roy had operated on his daughter's nose a month ago.
It has cost about three thousand rupees. Now he himself has come with a sore throat. He has been given ECG and blood test. The two tests were done at Sanjay's diagnostic center and he was the one who saw the report. He had to pay 950 rupees for this.
According to several traders of Shikarpur port, Sanjay Roy has become a village doctor and is treating sensitive diseases. Although the upazila administration was informed earlier, no one is taking action due to mysterious reasons.
Wazirpur Upazila Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr Shawkat Ali said there was no opportunity for rural doctors to perform operations or tests. If anyone makes a written complaint in this regard, legal action will be taken subject to investigation.
