Yesterday, I was going about my regular faucet collection run on the Moon faucet web sites, when I noticed a red banner at the top of the page, saying that Coinpot and it's partner faucets were closing down. I was a bit suprised by this and also a bit concerned, as I've accumulated a fair amount of cryptocurrency at Coinpot, and now wondered how long I would have to get my accumulated cryptocurrency out.
I clicked on the embedded link, which sent me to the Coinpot web site, which to my suprise led me to the same red banner at the top of the page. I was a little annoyed by this, as I had clicked on this link, expecting to find out when Coinpot and it's partner faucets were actually going to shut down.
I had two courses of action open to me, start withdrawing right away or just click on that embedded link again and see where it would lead me. I decided to click on the link, once again.
This time, I was presented with all the information that I needed to know.
Coinpot, BitFun, BonusBitCoin and all the Moon faucets were shutting down.
BonusBitCoin, BitFun and the Moon faucets are due to shut down on 31st January, while Coinpot is due to completely shut down on 28th February. The reason for the shutdown, that they no longer have the time or the resources to continue and are moving on to the better things.
I was a little disappointed by this, as I've noticed over the past couple of months, faucets have been dropping like flies and those that are still operating, have reduced the amounts they give out and/or number of times that you can claim each day. Of well, I thought, another one bites the dust. Might as well use the faucets for as long as I can and make sure that I withdraw as soon as the faucets shut down.
And that is exactly what I'm going to do. But, I will continue to look out for other faucets to collect from, to fill in the gap left by the loss of BonusBitCoin and the Moon faucets.
