Hello and welcome to all the readers.

Many things have changed since covid19 was discovered in 2019. Almost 2 years down the line, we are still seeing or facing the effects of it.

Many have lost their life or suffered. We as humanity have been able to contain the virus to a certain extend by lockdowns and vaccination. Though it still came at a cost.

Covid variants have been emerging again in different parts of the world.

People are realising that it may take years to either eradicate scientifically or by some reason the virus loses its ablility to mutate or virus goes completely dormant.

There have been few changes which have become part of our new life, i.e., Work from home, life style moderations, priorities etc.

Work from home has become the new norm. Various companies are now providing means to connect to your office systems and work remotely.

I remember, before the covid, if i needed to work from home, i had to explain to my bosses why i need to. And most of the cases they would be suggested an alternative or relectantly approve it.

But, now many companies have adapted the new working style.

I think it is beneficial to the employee as well as employer. Most of the time, you put in more time when at home. Improves productivity to some extent.

It also saves commuting time between office and home. Less cars on the road, less pollution etc.

But it has side effects too. You become isolated to some extent and lose the daily office interactions other than work related meetings.

I read an article, where a company fired/terminated jobs of 90+ employees via online video call. That's brutal way of letting people go.

There have been recent talks about calling employees back into offices. But, been variants of covid discovered, it looks unlikely for sometime.

The other major difference i noticed is the attitute. I remember before covid, if you are walking down the footpath/road and someone else comes from the opposite side, you will not change direction. You will force the other person to change direction. [with few exceptions]

But now, since covid, when you see a person coming towards you, you change directions immediately or allow him/her to do it.

More of self presevation i guess :-).

Tourism and travelling by airplanes have changed completely. Every country is trying to protect it's citizens and also contain the virus infections.

New rules are defined without giving short notices.

As of today, i can say many have accepted the existence of covid virus as part of their lives, similar to flu.

There is also a dark side of the new life, where many have lost their jobs, homes or unable to feed their family.

Recovery path is long, but eventually we will find a better solution, till then life with covid is the new way of life

thanks for reading my post.

Have a nice day
