Greater Coucal bird There is so much written about the Greater Coucal Bird which is supposed to be a good omen if one sees it or hears it chirp The chirp is not so pleasant but if it is meant to bring good luck may as well tolerate it. Yet another plus point is it eats snakes. I have not seen this but if the Net talks about it might as well believe it.

I see this bird in sugar cane corps its very Beautiful and we call this bird jal kokar .
