There are many people gathering at a railway station. They are eaiting fortrains to go to cities to earnliving. Most of them are landless village people.
They may be the people who lost their ancestor's land because of poverty and exploitation in the village. They may also be the people who lost their homeland because of river erosion.
Besides, they have too many people in their families. Finding no other means to survive, they dicided to go to cities where, yhey thought, rhey might support their family. After coming to cities, thboey live on the footpaths, around the railway stations and slums.
Here they start their new life as porters, rickshaw pullers, brick breakers garment workers and maid servants. Those who are unable to work stary begging.
Their children are often deprived of education rights, because they engaged themselves in collecting papers and polythene, in selling flower garland, in doing the jobs of tempo drovers helpers to support their family.
very few of them go to schools arranged by different NGO's. But the rest of unemployed persons involve themselves in anti social activities such as mugging, stealing, hijaking, and kidnapping.
Many of these kinds of people suffer from hunger, malmutrition and different types of diseases.
A section of pelple use yheir poberty for their own interest. They involve them in dtug use, child traffiking and often antisocial activities. Thus their activities hamper our social life. But we should prevent them from doing such antisocial activities.
We have to arrange professional and technicaleducation and employment programme so that they can earn their living and help for ocial development.
It is very simple in our country. People gather in a railway station it is very simple.
