Different people in the world are creative in different ways. Some write, some sing and some draw. Creativity is a part of thinking, it may not require much organization. Today I will talk about a person who has no formal education but has become a full fledged painter.
Rangamati Hill District is full of various natural beauties including lakes, springs, high and low green hills, deep forests, winding mountain paths and rhymes. Junuma Chhara is a small village in Ghagra Union Parishad of this district. Bimal Kanti Chakma and Vidya Rani Chakma gave birth to their first child on March 10, 1991 in an indigenous family in that hilly village. Sukhendu Chakma is named after the family.
Growing up in a mountainous environment, Sukhendu's parents enrolled him in a village government primary school. The environment in which the highly talented boy grew up did not have the touch of modern technology. Bangladesh Television was the only hope on the television screen. Every Friday, watching Bengali movies on television had a different addiction in his head. And like everyone else, whatever the story of the movie in my childhood, Sukhendur liked the fight scenes. The victory of the favorite character in the fight scene in the movie made his mind agitate. And so maybe the boy used to draw those scenes with pen and pencil on white paper while studying. This is how drawing started.
When Sukhendu was studying in 4th class, father Bimal Kanti Chakma was fascinated by his son's interest in drawing and drawing techniques. He sent the child to a teacher named Udayan Chakma to master painting. There was only one to one and a half years of learning opportunities to draw. Udayan Chakmai was the first teacher in painting. He was fascinated by painting Sukhendu and dreamed that he would do something big in the future. After studying up to seventh grade in a village school, Sukhendu was admitted to Dhaka's Banful Adivasi Greenheart College from eighth grade. There was an opportunity to learn painting again in the company of a teacher named Ahsan Habib from 8th to 10th class. On the other hand, Sukhendu, who has set foot at a young age, is fascinating everyone by drawing all the impossibly beautiful pictures using his own thoughts and ideas using the experience learned in school life.
Sukhendu, who is very talented, crossed the boundaries of school-college and got admission in Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University to get his bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology. There was an introduction to the founder of the Veterinary University, Vice-Chancellor Prof. With Nitish Chandra Debnath. Although the Vice-Chancellor later retired from the University, he came to participate in the meetings and seminars of the University at different times. Sukhendu Chakma gave him a wonderful picture. The picture painted by Sukhendu may still be carefully adorned on the wall of the former vice-chancellor's house or in the photo album.
Popular journalist, agricultural development and media personality Sheikh Siraj was present at the inauguration ceremony of Chittagong Veterinary University for the academic year 2014-15. Ganajagaran with the agriculture of rural life - Sukhendu, who is working towards the goal of creation, after seeing him, drew a picture and the desire to give him a gift awoke in his mind. Finally, the traditional form of Sheikh Siraj was drawn with the stroke of the mind and the brush of paint that day. The picture also shows Sheikh Siraj talking to some rural farmers. This picture was handed over to Sheikh Siraj by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Veterinary University Gautam Buddha Das. After watching the film, he was fascinated and praised Sukhendur.
Sukhendu, who is an expert in extraordinary paintings, draws pictures of his loved ones, parents and a favorite face left far and wide. Sukhendu fulfills everyone's desires with a smile. In this way, under the patronage of a teacher, he drew a picture of a veterinarian standing with a pet dog in his lap. Currently, the picture catches the eye as soon as you enter the Animal Hospital of the Veterinary University.
Sukhendu's picture is not only being decorated in different parts of the country. In 2013, during a visit to Chittagong Veterinary University by renowned South Korean veterinarian Gongheung Kim, Sukhendur had the opportunity to present him with an exact picture of himself.
Sukhendu Chakma has not only painted a picture of his campus life. He has been able to bring to life the joys and sorrows of the tribal life, family and social life, and the traditional rules of non-availability.
There is no comparison to mother's love. It is very difficult to differentiate between the mother of human society and the mother of the animal kingdom. Sukhendu has also been able to capture that scene in his film with great skill. In the picture, just as the mother holds the human child in her arms, so the mother bird is seen collecting food for her baby.
Parents raise their children with a lot of care. Just as a mother has a role to play in raising a child, so does a father. So the father has tried to draw a picture of how to put the child to sleep.
The child raised by the parents may leave the old parents one day due to various reasons, especially due to poverty. At that time, the skeletal shape and vision of the old father who can find! He drew such a picture in 2013.
Small family, happy family. Maybe in such a family the parents will be happy forever. Currently, a small family of up to one or two children is desirable for almost everyone. Such a happy family in the hope of happiness.
Almost all of our lives are spent in anticipation of happiness and the future. A Chakma boy is sitting in a restless, thoughtful manner in anticipation of something. Maybe his expectations are always elusive. Uncertain future, it is not known what destiny has written in the forehead. Yet a woman is flying the happiness bird in the blue sky for the main happiness of human beings. Well, happiness comes to life when the bird flies? Sukhendu is constantly composing such real stories with the stroke of his brush.
Selfish people are always stuck in the middle of the road. They cannot tolerate each other's progress and happiness. In 2014, he drew a picture called 'Selfish' to introduce all such selfish people. Selfish in the picture basically means the red-dark blue triangle that stands in the way. It is not crossing itself, it is not letting the rest go. Here these triangles, quadrilaterals, circles and lines reveal the different intelligences of different people. Circles refer to foolish people, triangles to three-faced people, lines to simple people. And quadrilateral means four-faced and clever people. And that is why they are trying to find a way to the other side without crowding in one place like the rest.
No matter how many obstacles come, let the happy birds keep the happiness among themselves. However, in order to change their destiny, the hill tribesmen do various activities for their livelihood. Sukhendur also saw some remarkable pictures of the husband and wife returning home after cultivating zoom all day, the scene of fishing in the river, the dream of getting rid of violence from the world.
Sukhendura may one day be lost from this selfish world even if he gets intoxicated with Ranguli. The young painter has already learned to understand that the real world is very difficult. As the eldest child of the family, many responsibilities of the family are coming on his shoulders. So nowadays maybe the boy loves to keep himself hidden. Sukhendu is currently teaching at a drawing school in Dhaka's Mirpur, also working as a freelance artist.
But he dreams that one day he will have his own art school. Dreaming will one day have his name along with the names of all the famous painters. On that day, Bangladesh will proudly say, "Sukhendu is my child".
