Tentulia Dak Bungalow, Mahananda River and Jalpaiguri Bridge
I went down to Tinnu Bazar and again took an auto for the purpose of Tentulia bus stand. On the way, I saw tears in the field of tears, and then everyone in the group stopped the car and sent someone to fetch the tears. The driver of the auto went down on his own to raise it a little more. At about 3/4 o'clock they cut the whole eye and gave it to us with a smile. But alas, these eyes are usually made for sugar mill, so even though they are very sweet, there is no juice at all and they are very hard. Then we went to Tentulia bus stand. In the morning, I didn't see the famous tamarind tree of Tentulia properly, but after seeing it, I went back to Hotel Nurjahan to have a light tea and breakfast.
After eating, our bus driver called Delwar's brother and he came and fixed an auto. I first went to see the Tentulia Dak Bungalow. Surrounded by more than 300 years old trees, this bungalow is captivating. There is a picnic spot next to it. And there is a place in front of the post bungalow, where the writing- Kanchenjunga viewing spot. The peak of this mountain can be seen very well in the morning or evening only if the skies of the two countries are clear. But, unfortunately for us, there was a lot of fog on the day we arrived. I took a few pictures and hurried to the old market.
The old market is the old market, which is no more. As soon as you get off the auto in the old market, you will first see the ban on crossing the Indian border. There is an ancient ghat, through which one can see the lifting of stones in the water of the knee-deep Mahananda river by descending or standing on it.
Many parts of the country, including West Bengal, were submerged in a catastrophic tidal wave and flooding during the Tertiary period. That is why several parts of the country are full of sea-borne sedimentary rocks, of which Panchagarh is one. If you make a 5/6 foot hole in certain places of Tentulia upazila, you can see stone and Panisal wood. So many people in this region make a living by lifting stones.
The stone collectors went to the middle of the river Mahananda with giant rubber tubes to lift the stones. Sometimes a few people came together from the middle of the river, and sometimes they picked up stones by themselves and filled rubber tubes and brought them to the bank. He then sifted the dirt from the stones of different shapes and filled it in a wooden box. Once a wooden box is filled, it is called a septic or a return.
As soon as I looked across the river, I saw the Indian barbed wire fence and a bridge on the far left. Many people call it a big bridge, while others call it a sluice gate because at the same time the work of the sluice gate and the movement of vehicles is done through this bridge. Many people call it Jalpaiguri Bridge because it is believed that the Jalpaiguri part of India is located there.
Panchagarh journey and some things
I got back in the car at Tentulia bus stand. Everyone is waiting for the bus to board the market. Maharaja's Dighi and Vetargarh Fort are within 5 km of Board Bazar. Two of us in the group suddenly said they were feeling unwell. And then the heat of the sun was quite hot. 13 hours of continuous travel, sleepless nights, walking around with a backpack on the shoulder, the scorching heat on it - their bodies could not handle so much stress. Anyway, since most of the buses there are local, thinking about the two of them, I was compelled to fix the car as far as Panchagarh Sadar.
When the car was near the board market, I told the auto driver to go inside, so I would increase the fare separately. He told me that he had taken a group in the morning, but due to the extra fog, the inner fort was covered with polythene. He further said that excavation work of this archeological monument is usually stopped on rainy days and extra foggy days and the entire monument is covered with polythene. If I can't see anything after going 10 km on the road, it is better not to go.
To reach Panchagarh Sadar from Tentulia, one has to go through almost all the police stations. And every police station has something to see. However, if you want to see, you must take the time and go 10/12 km inside the village to see. Our time was limited. It was about three o'clock. I went to Panchagarh Women's College to see the only rock museum in Bangladesh. I got out of the car and went inside the college to get permission.
But as soon as I entered, I felt bad because I was going to the college exams that day, which was obvious. Even then I met the principal sir. He sincerely regretted not being able to show us. And there is no chance to see it the next day, because there is a Victory Day parade the next day. What else to do! I had to leave from there. After eating at a Brahmin hotel in Panchagarh Sadar, I heard that the last bus from Panchagarh to Thakurgaon for winter is between 5-5:30. So as far as I could see, I left for the guest house in Thakurgaon with peace. It takes more than one and a half to two hours to go. But the fatigue of the whole day and the sadness of not being able to see different places vanished in an instant when I saw the wonderful environment inside and outside the RDRS Gate House in Thakurgaon. In the next episode, there will be details about Thakurgaon and Dinajpur.

The popular song of Panchagarh's regional culture is 'Huli's Song'. A lot of turn class songs. However, despite the origin of the name from the traditional religion of Huli Puja, the song depicts the inconsistency of contemporary life, the history of sorrow-pain-happiness or love. Sometimes it is presented humorously and sometimes it is presented sarcastically. The song features a boy (a girl dressed as a girl) and a song (a joker) who arranges a series of stories with various dramas. If you want to participate in this song, you have to be dressed in colorful clothes. Up to 10-12 people participate in each song. Kasar, sarangi, drum, flute and other musical instruments are used in this song.

The people of Panchagarh are simple and hospitable. They are very happy to talk to them sincerely and come forward for any help on their own. Another characteristic of the people of Panchagarh is that they want their district to be known as a tourist city. So they want more tourists to come. Usually the price goes up when you see strangers or tourists in other places, but in Panchagarh it is very low. Panchagarh is not a disaster prone district, but the law and order situation here is more peaceful than any other district. However, the best time to visit Panchagarh is the beginning of autumn or winter or the end of winter. If the day is big, it is possible to travel to many places of interest in one day.
However, the transportation system of Panchagarh is not as developed as other tourist cities. So reserve wherever you go so that you can go out and go somewhere else. Or you can rent a micro or a van when the team is tied up. Although in many places you may have to leave the micro and get in the auto. And in the case of local buses in Panchagarh, it is difficult to give accurate information, because the buses with white flags used to have gatelock service. But now there are buses with flags of a few colors and everyone calls themselves a gatelock. It is difficult to find out who the gatelock is!
