There is nothing inevitabe about globalisation.
Winds of changes are blowing all over the planet. Yet with new opportunities also come new challenges.
We are now the citizens of global village.
Globalisation means the deepending of interdependency. So people who want to be in power and shape their futures will also have to act globally.
Globalisation can and should be shaped according to the needs of the world’s people. There is a growing feeling that dicttators and tyrants should not be above inernational law just because they made the law in their own countries. The collapse of the Soviet Block represented the triumph of democracy and open economy.
There is no longer a coherent alternative ideology on offer. Globalisation in itself is frightening to people in developing countries for many reasons. However globalisation should not be seen from the angle of only flourishment of commodity and capital.
We think globalisation has brought a unique opportunily to bring people closer, tighten bond of relations and proved scope to improve life style.
It will enable to form a world based on actually acceptable values. There is nothing inevitabe about globalisation. It is created and shaped by the choices and decesions of us all.
