About 500 years ago, there was a civilization called 'Chimu' in Peru. Recently, a team of archaeologists studying the ruins of this civilization found the remains of about 140 children, which were originally the remains of the sacrificed children of that time. The Chimu civilization thus sacrificed more than a hundred of their children. This is the most infernal infanticide in history. But why? What was behind it? Archaeologists are still struggling to gather enough evidence before reaching the final conclusions.

The Chimu civilization developed in the Chimor region on the Pacific coast of northern Peru. Its historical period was approximately 1250-1470 AD. They were originally from the coastal region of northern Peru. The people of Chimu civilization were moon worshipers. They worshiped the moon. Sacrificing various valuable items for the purpose of satisfying the moon, nature and the gods was a notable feature of their religion.

The mainstay of the Chimu civilization was agriculture and fishing. They developed a huge and complex system of irrigation for agriculture. They irrigated about 50,000 acres of land through irrigation from the Moche river. Their main crops were maize and cotton. There was a lot of development of pottery during the Chimu civilization. The pottery made by Chimud is a little different. Often they looked like some kind of animal. There are also statues of people standing or sitting on a six-story bottle or pot. Another feature of Chimu pottery is that the use of black color in it is especially noticeable. They used pottery as well as various precious metals. Extensive use of alloys made mainly of gold, silver and copper alloys can be seen in the Chimu civilization.

Chimu was the capital and administrative center of civilization. It is estimated that more than a million people lived in this city. He wanted this as it was once the largest city in present day South America. This city in Peru is made entirely of clay. In the city you can see huge palaces made of bricks. In 1480, their last king, Minchamankaman, fell, and the Inca emperor Tupac Inca Yupanaki's forces occupied the area of Chimud and annexed it to the Inca Empire. This war, which took place only fifty years before the arrival of the Spaniards in the region, ended Chimud's existence as an independent state. Although Chimud's existence was abolished, they left a history of a hellish child slaughter on this earth for life.

Archaeologists have unearthed the largest child sacrifice in history in the city. The discovery, funded by the National Geographic Society, is published on the National Geographic website. The infernal massacre came to the fore through a campaign by a team led by Gabriel Prieto of the National Geographic Society.

The team launched the operation in 2011 after rescuing the remains of 42 children and six lamas from a 3,500-year-old temple. According to the final count of the operation, the skeletons of 140 children who were 5-14 years old were recovered at that time. However, most of them were in the age group of 8-12 years. Many children show signs of amputation. By looking at the ribs and bones of the chest, it is identified that these are the remains of children. Many skeletal ribs have been damaged. It is believed that the hearts of these children were opened. According to archaeologists, 269 children were the victims of such hellish carnage.

Apart from the children, the rescue team rescued an animal named Lama and about 200 skeletons. It is clear from this that an animal called lama was also sacrificed along with the children. The llama is a camel species that is very popular with children in the area. The lamas were less than 18 months old. The infernal massacre has already caused a stir around the world since the news broke.

Gabriel Preeto, one of the chief researchers at the archaeological team, said:

This is a truly unfortunate event in human history. When people hear that such a horrible thing has happened here, the first question they ask is, why?

This is the first question that comes to a person's mind after knowing this fact, why? What was the crime of the children? At different times they used to sacrifice various things to please the moon and nature. Archaeologists believe the area was dedicated to protecting children from heavy rains or floods. Carbon tests of various fabrics found with children's skeletons show that the phenomenon occurred between 1400 and 1450 AD.

Observing the long human history of the world, we find many such examples of human sacrifice. At one time human sacrifice was practiced in many civilizations to please nature or gods and goddesses. But the example of such hellish child sacrifice is not found anywhere else. One of the biggest child sacrifices to date was the brutal act of sacrificing 42 children at the Temple Mall in Mexico City. But these child sacrifices of the Chimu civilization have overtaken all atrocities.

Archaeologists are still struggling to gather enough evidence before reaching the final conclusions about the whereabouts of the child. However, some archeological documents show that hundreds of infant sacrifices were performed in the Inca civilization after the death of a king. But no archaeological evidence has been found as to why Chimura sacrificed children.

However, from where the children's skeletons were recovered, a mound of dry clay was found. The dry clay here indicates a one-time heavy rain. Archaeologists are still struggling to gather enough evidence before reaching the final conclusions about the nature of the crop. Maybe there was a situation where the Chimu civilization was on the verge of destruction, and so they abandoned their children to protect their own civilization. Archaeologists are still struggling to gather enough evidence before reaching the final conclusions about the status of the Chimu nation.

Archaeologists are still struggling to gather enough evidence before reaching the final conclusions about the age of the child. Maybe one day the people of this world will know exactly what happened to the children of Chimu civilization. But the children who were abandoned witnessed one of the most brutal massacres in the history of human civilization.
