Wonder how many wonders of this world are spread around us. How much do we know about this huge world full of mysteries! Somewhere in the world there are diverse deserts, colorful lagoons, or waterfalls cascading down the lap of nature. Everything is the wealth of this world. Today's event in search of that elusive mysterious nature.
Red Lagoon, Chile
In the countries of South America, nature seems to have hidden all its wonders. One such wonder is the Chilean Red Lagoon. 147 km from northern Chile. Camina town inside. The amazing Red Lagoon is located at an altitude of about 3,700 meters above sea level. The water in the lagoon is so red that it looks like a lot of blood. In addition to this red water reservoir there is a wonderful lake of yellow and green water.
According to historians, the Amira civilization developed in this region in ancient times and it is in the vicinity of this lagoon. Since then, there have been various beliefs of the locals associated with this reservoir, especially blind faith. The locals thought that the reason behind the red color of the water was that the lagoon was possessed by a demon. However, according to scientists, the color of the water is red because of the high amount of red algae at the bottom of the lagoon.
The scenery around the Red Lagoon is also quite interesting. The winding mountain path along the Laguna, the tranquility of nature brings an unmistakable heavenly feeling to the tourists. And so the Chilean tourism department and the local administration have taken various measures to increase the facilities for tourists in the region. The place has gradually become a tourist attraction as a result of improved transportation and accommodation arrangements for travelers.
White Desert, Egypt
Farafra is one of the most diverse deserts in Egypt. Somewhere in this desert, small ponds can be seen in the shade of palm trees. The water is flowing in it. Such strange pictures can also be seen in the brutal desert in the Farafra desert. The desert lies to the west of Egypt. This desert is quite large and wide. About 5,500 people live in a small village here. They are basically Bedouin. From palm to olive, apricot trees have created a sheltered haven of peace around the desert. There are over a hundred wells around the village. Agriculture is done in the water there. There is a warm spring near the village called Bir Setta. Tourists flock here in groups to enjoy swimming in the hot water mixed with sulfur.
However, Farafra's real fame is 45 km north. The wonder of the geography is unmatched by any other guest. A strange white desert. Occasional desert storms occur in the desert. Due to that storm, white and cream colored mounds have been created all over the premises, which is astonishing to see. These are called ventifacts.
There are also all sorts of strange limestone acreage. In the open wilderness, such monstrous structures made by nature have been a puzzle for many years. These shapes have also been given beautiful names. Such as- mushrooms, ice cream, con, tent, monolith etc. Many tourists from different parts of Egypt as well as other countries come here to see such wonderful handicrafts.
The exterior of White Desert Park is relatively old. It can be reached by ordinary car. It can be rotated. But in the new desert on the inside, you just have to go by camel or SUV. This side is more impossibly white.
Scattering all such boulders around, sometimes it may seem like lightning somewhere, sometimes a chicken, sometimes an old man sitting in a hat. Sometimes a bunch of girls are dancing. These also change color with daylight. She is a unique experience. The name of a place is again the White House. In the middle of the day, the shapes from bright gold to light pink at sunset will seem like a miracle.
Guayaquil Falls, South America
The continent is famous all over the world for its waterfalls. The Paranis a wonderful river on the border of Brazil and Paraguay in South America. The eighteen cataract waterfalls above it are collectively named ‘Guira Falls’. Divided into seven clusters, they were also called ‘Seta Quedas’ or `Seven Falls’ in Portuguese. In terms of size, this Guayira Falls was the largest in the world.
Millions of cusecs of water are rushing down the dense green of the mountain. That water hits the rocks and overflows like a cloud. Nature seems to be overcast all the time here. A layer of clear water floating in the air like a mist. Standing in front of the strong current of that fast flowing waterfall, even the bravest chest is forced to tremble.
The waterfall flowed 1,750,000 cubic feet per second, compared to about 70,000 cubic feet per second in Niagara Falls. Its height is about 375 feet. There was a time when the roar of the waterfall could be heard from 20 miles away. But in 1982, a dam was built to harness the vast water of the waterfall to generate electricity. That dam is now the second largest hydroelectric power station in the world. About 75% of Paraguay's electricity and 25% of Brazil's electricity is supplied from this hydroelectric plant.
When the Itaipu Dam was being built, tourists from all over the world were furious. Nature lovers also protested. Even then the construction of the dam could not be stopped. And so a huge number of tourists from all over the world flocked here to see the waterfall for the last time before the incredible beauty of this vast waterfall was lost from the earth forever. Then a bridge collapsed under the pressure of strong people. About 70 people drowned in that tragic accident.
The dam was built by October of that year. And that mighty splendor of the waterfall disappears into the abyss of time, that primitive agility of the waterfall Guerrero, its fierce surge, is lost. The famous Brazilian poet Carlos Drumande de Andrade was very vocal against stopping the raging of this waterfall. He also wrote a poem, "Farewell to Seven Falls," in memory of Guerra.
