Working at home - the advantages and disadvantages
For more than two years many people are working at home especially in the IT sector,marketing,finance and other similar fields ,some of them returned to work at their offices but many of them stayed at home still working until their bosses say when to come back. I also worked at home for two months during pandemia but now I am in the office.
I talked to my friends who still work at home and I will share their opinion about advantages and disadvantages working at home.
Advantages can be:
1.There are no phone calls or colleagues to slow you down so the workers get more done in a shorter time.
2.If you have children,you see them more often,can help them in some situations but sometimes it can be a problem for work.If you organize your time well it is really advantage of working from home.
3.The freedom is what people like the most.They like to open the window, play music even for short time,go to the toilet, and to feel comfortable.
4.Life is definitely cheaper for the employee. You save on things such as transport and smart clothes. It is also cheaper to eat at home,there is always something in the fridge.
5.You don't need to walk to work in the rain or to wait on the bus station worrying if the tram or bus will come on time.
Flexibility of working time,you decide how many hours you can stay working.
Disadvantages can be;
Noise,if the other family members are in the same place ,especially kids who always want to ask something,
2.You have to be very self-disciplined if not it can be difficult to get down to work.
If there is some technical problem you are on your own,there is no IT expert to call on.
Sharing problems and ideas with your collegues can make you more productive and when you work at home you are alone with yourselves.
There are really many advantages and disadvantages when it is about the mentioned topic. My wife works from home as an online tacher. She likes it but sometimes she wants more activities. What is your opinion about that? What you like more to work from home or at the office?!
