Although for adults the storyline in this film is easy to guess, but the movie "Over the Moon" is worth enjoying with your family. Get used to the children consuming animated films with festive colors that are full of moral messages like this.

In recent years, Netflix has indeed spoiled its audience with its extraordinary original films, namely "Marriage Story", "The Devil All the Time", to the drama "Crash Landing on You". In fact, Netflix doesn't just produce original films with this genre, you know. Not long ago Netflix released the latest animated film "Over the Moon" which is worth anticipating.

The film "Over the Moon" takes the theme of Chinese mythology, as a means to prove something to his family. At first glance, it looks like the movie "Coco" made by Pixar, but calm down, it's not all the same. It looks like the movie "Over the Moon" from Netflix could be a competitor to Pixar.

Synopsis of the film "Over the Moon"

The film begins with a picnic by the river in the crescent moonlight. Mama and Baba (father) told Fei Fei about the mythology of the Moon Goddess, Chang'e, who faithfully awaited her lover with a song. It is said that in Chinese culture, Chang'e is just an ordinary human who drinks the elixir of immortality and flies to the moon leaving her lover forever.

Four years later, Fei Fei has grown up and Baba has found a substitute for his mother. Fei Fei's anxiety arises when the woman also has an 8-year-old son named Chin who is considered annoying by Fei Fei. Fei Fei's anxiety turned into a rage when it was a big family event, some of them didn't believe the story of the goddess Chang'e, even Baba didn't believe the story.

Departing from disappointment over the story told by his mother, Fei Fei created a rabbit rocket to go to the moon with his bunny, Bungee. This is where Fei Fei, Bungee, and Chin's adventure begins.

This animated film offers fun colorful glitters

Animated films or children's films in general do present sparkling colors that are pleasing to the eye when watching them. Even with the film "Over the Moon", Glen Keane, who has traveled the world in animated films, certainly doesn't want to make this film no cooler than the previous film. As a result, “Over the Moon” is presented with brilliant colors without hurting the eyes of the audience. Especially when Fei Fei and Chin first entered the Chang'e kingdom.

Like a family musical, the film “Over the Moon” also presents some easy listening songs.

Like a musical film, “Over the Moon” also offers a variety of easy listening songs that make us sing along. In fact, I'm sure, after you watch this film, you will find a row of songs on Spotify. And the song "Ultraluminary" became the most favorite because of the lyrics and visuals in the video clip which were fun-filled.

For adults, it seems that the storyline of the film written by children's film legend Audrey Wells is ordinary, but Fei Fei's experience contains an extraordinary message!

Maybe for those of you who like drama, thriller, horror, to indie films, you won't take a look at this film. Yes, because in the first 10 minutes we can immediately guess what the ending will be like. But this film, written by Dan Audrey Wells and dedicated to him, offers an extraordinary message for you, even for those of you who are adults. That letting go of people who have left and opening their hearts to new people is a good thing. In essence, the movie "Over the Moon" teaches us to move on from the past that we can't change, even if you go to the moon!

Moving on is hard, but when you never try to open your heart, you will continue to feel lonely and painful in your life.
