As a student of the Theater Department, the author always tries to learn from anywhere, not only actively studying on campus but also learning from outside campus, one of which is watching movies. Watching movies is one way for the development and self-enrichment of Theater Department students because elements of a film are also part of theater, for example acting.

The film "Jakarta Vs Everybody" which mentions the word Jakarta in the title makes the author expect a story that focuses on life in Jakarta which shows another side of Jakarta about how drug trafficking, nightlife or free sex occur in Jakarta. In fact, the other side of Jakarta in this film only supports Dom's journey as the main character, almost the whole story only shows how Dom lives his days in Jakarta.

This film that received many nominations has a relatively flat storyline, a story that focuses on the life of Dom which mostly tells about how he works as an undercover drug courier with various jobs, making this film feel without a story climax. In fact, the scene that depicts how Dom is disappointed in himself does not touch the writer's heart and it takes time for the writer to understand the scene.
