Starting from Budi Kurniawan's love and curiosity about coffee, this documentary film, which was released on June 3, 2014 and has a duration of 65 minutes, tells the story of the history of coffee development, cultivation to the diversity of coffee in this archipelago, such as Gayo Coffee, Java, Flores and others.

The film "Aroma of heaven" took approximately 5 years in the production process because this film was produced independently. Apart from that, this documentary shows various perspectives from coffee farmers, coffee consultants to coffee brewers in different locations because as we know each region in Indonesia has its own characteristics. Coffee is a means of cultural expression as well as representing the character of the community where coffee grows and develops. In certain areas, there are rituals that are part of the cultural side of coffee.

The production process of the film "Aroma of Heaven" is not easy, especially since this film was produced independently and also the sources from different locations certainly have different cultures, so a cultural approach to the coffee farmers is needed. The filming process was carried out at the Kali Bendo Coffee Plantation and in Kemiren Village to be precise in Banyuwangi.

With visuals and featuring sources who are directly involved in all aspects related to coffee, from the garden to the cup. No wonder the film "Aroma of Heaven" was screened in various countries and won an international award, namely the Best Editing Award at the Ahvaz International Science Film Festival in Iran in 2015 and in the same year as the Best Documentary Award at the Hainan International Maritime Silk Road Film Festival in China.
