Every word has meaning and every sentence has power. Islam also pays attention to this "sentence" problem. It is proven by the number of dhikr that is recommended to be read every day. Because behind the dhikr sentences there are secrets and powers that we don't know.
Alhamdulillahi rabbil 'alamin, is the second verse of Surah Al Fatihah which means praise be to Allah, the Lord of all nature. We often hear this sentence every day.
The meaning of this sentence is: Allah, the owner of all the attributes of perfection. Allah is praised for all His attributes and all His deeds. Allah is praised in all circumstances.
Usually Alhamdulillahi rabbil 'alamin is pronounced as an expression of gratitude, either for the blessings received or when avoiding disaster. However, it turns out that the sentence of alhamdulillah is not only a sunnah to be read when we get pleasure or avoid disaster.
Alhamdulillah is praise to Allah because there is nothing worthy of praise in the world until the hereafter except Allah, the Giver of Favor.
And He is Allah, there is no god (who has the right to be worshiped) but Him, praise be to Him in the world and in the hereafter, and for Him all determinations and to Him you are returned. " (QS.Al-Qashas: 70).
There are several virtues that we can get by reading Alhamdulillahi rabbil 'alamin. Hamdallah is the best prayer. This is as narrated by Hasan's hadith by Tirmidhi.
Meaning: "From Jabir bin Abdillah Radhiyallahu 'anhu he said: I heard Rasulullah Sallallahu' alaihi wa sallam say," The most important dhikr is Laa ilaaha illallah and the foremost prayer is Alhamdulillah. "
The recitation of Alhamdulillahi rabbil 'alamin, although light in speech, is heavy on the scales, and is loved by Allah Ar-Rahman.
"Two sentences that are lightly spoken, but heavy on the scale, and favored by Ar-Rahman are" Subhanallah wa bi hamdih, subhanallahil 'azhim "(Glory to Allah and all praise be to Him. Glory to Allah the Most Great)" So as written in the Hadith Rasulullah Bukhari no. 6682 and Muslim no. 2694.
In another hadith, it is stated that heaven will get a reward for those who praise Allah through recitation of Alhamdulillahi rabbil 'alamin.
Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu 'anhu said,
"That the Messenger of Allah passed by him was planting crops, as Rasulullah rebuked him and said," O Abu Hurairah, what are you planting? I replied, "Planting crops, O Messenger of Allah". He said, "Will you tell me about a better plant than this?" Abu Hurairah replied, "Of course, O Messenger of Allah". He said, "Say: subhanallah, alhamdulillah, laa ilaaha ilallah, and allahu akbar, surely it will be planted for you with each of these sentences, a tree in heaven. 1549)
The sentence Alhamdulillah is obligatory dhikr for Muslims every day. We have to say it in every prayer because this sentence is included in Surah Al-fatihah. And our prayers are not valid without reading
The sentence Alhamdulillah is one of Allah's commands to the prophets. Every time they get pleasure, they never forget to say Alhamdulillah.
When Noah was saved from the flood storm, Allah ordered him to say Alhamdulillah.
And when you and those who are with you are on the ship, then say, "Praise be to Allah who has Saved us from the wrongdoers." (Surah Al-Mukminun: 28).
When Prophet Ibrahim was given offspring, he also did not forget to say Alhamdulillah. "Praise be to Allah who has bestowed on me in the old days of (my) Ismail and Ishaq. Indeed, my God is truly All-Listening (allowing) prayer." (Surah Abraham: 39).
Likewise with prophets David and Solomon when given knowledge by Allah Almighty, And indeed, We have given knowledge to David and Solomon; and both of them said, "Praise be to Allah, Who exceeds us from many of His servants who believe." (QS.An-Naml: 15).
In fact, Allah also gave orders to His beloved Prophet Muhammad to always say Alhamdulillah. And the Quran mentions this commandment on several occasions.
And say, "Praise be to Allah who has no children and does not (also) have partners in His kingdom and He does not need help from humiliation and exalt Him to the greatest possible extent (QS, Al-Isra: 111)
When greeting the "chosen servant" and to deny shirk.
Say (Muhammad), "Praise be to Allah and best wishes to His Chosen servants. Is Allah better, or what do they associate (with Him)? " (QS.An-Naml: 59)
And say (Muhammad), "Praise be to Allah, He will Show you the signs (greatness) of Him, then you will know. And your God is not careless about what you do. " (Surah An-Naml: 93).
And if you ask them, "Who brought down water from the sky, and by means of this (water) he gave life to the dead earth?" Surely they will answer, "Allah." Say, "Praise be to Allah," but most of them don't understand. (Surah Al-Ankabut: 63).
And really, if you (Muhammad) ask them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" Of course they will answer, "Allah."
Say, "Praise be to Allah," but most of them don't know. (Surah Luqman: 25).
Apart from being a dhikr of the Prophets, it turns out that the sentence Alhamdulillah is not only used in the world. Even in the hereafter, we are never free from praise to Allah Almighty.
They said, “Praise be to Allah Who Has Showed us to this (heaven). We will not get guidance if Allah does not show us. ”(Surah Al-Araf: 43).
And they said, "Praise be to Allah who has fulfilled his promise to us and has given us this place while we are (allowed) to occupy heaven wherever we want." So (heaven is) the best possible reward for those who do good.
And you (Muhammad) will see the angels coiled around Arash, praising his Lord; Then given the decision between them (the servants of Allah) in a fair manner and said, "Praise be to Allah, Lord of all worlds." (QS.Az-Zumar: 74-75).
And the conclusion of their prayer is, "Al-hamdu lillahi Rabbil alamin". (Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds) (QS.Yunus: 10).
