Alleged Plagiarism Closes One Binance Smart Chain Project

Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Ethereum (ETH) have continued to compete in recent months and one of the "casualties" of the "battle" is already visible.

This competition is getting fiercer with alleged plagiarism of the Binance Smart Chain due to several of its projects.

The Binance Smart Chain was launched in September, and broke the Ethereum blockchain.

Ethereum, which thrived on the decentralized financial sector (DeFi), appears to be starting to shift.

The CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao or CZ has made a strong statement about BSC's progress in the crypto world after BSC was launched.

He also attacked Ethereum stating that,

"Our platform will be the same as Ethereum but without the high transfer fees and transaction delays due to congestion."

Some claim that these low fees come from a decentralized implementation unlike the Ethereum system.

This difference is emphasized on the difference between the proof of work system by ETH and the proof of ownership that has been implemented by BSC.

However, this difference has been warned by some of the biggest figures.

This warning is about Binance taking control of the entire blockchain. This warning has not been responded to by Binance.

Currently the transaction volume is still increasing, even leaving Ethereum which is starting to worry Ethereum members.

But there are currently many accusations that most of the projects on the Binance Smart Chain are being plagiarized from Ethereum.

At a time when the popularity of NFT or non-fungible tokens is increasing, these accusations are starting to emerge because of the project which is attracting attention.

The project is Musical Beats which was recently published on the Binance Smart Chain.

Musical Beats is drawing attention because it is thought to be similar to the Ethereum project.

The project, the EulerBeats Ethereum NFT project, seems to be getting a lot of attention right now.

Days after the plagiarism accusations leveled by the Ethereum team, Musical Beats reported that the project was closed on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

The closure came after allegations that they were posing as EulerBeats.

The allegations were conveyed directly by Ethereum to the public via Twitter.

The accusations still persist because Ethereum feels Musical Beats is not the only project at the BSC to mimic the project at ETH.

This is because there are currently so many Binance Smart Chain projects that look exactly like any existing project on the Ethereum blockchain.

For example, the Hasmasks NFT project, which was run for the first time on Ethereum, now has a rival in the BSC called Bashmasks.

Additionally, the CryptoPunks project that sits on the Ethereum blockchain has a rival on the Binance Smart Chain called Binance Punks.

The project that is accused of plagiarizing is not a small project. For example, Binance Punks managed to sell digital collections for $ 1 Million each, last month.

Apart from that there is a BSC version of the Ethereum NFT market called Opensea which is called Bopensea.

The publication of Bopensea is also accompanied by a statement on Twitter,

"Artwork should be available to all, not hindered by the $ 50 printing fee!"

However, with so many projects like this, there have been many criticisms of the plagiarism that BSC has made of ETH by the public.

However, for now, competition appears to be strong despite allegations that Ethereum transaction fees still appear high.
