A Community Owned Lottery Platform. Is that even a thing?

I like tinkering with ideas. I know people like to gamble. The excitement, the prospects of toying with fate, the risk.

Would it be as exciting if you knew where your money went and who got it?

Would it be as exciting to know it was more of a roulette with no underhand dealings?

Would it be more interesting if you owned the lottery platform as a community and not the government or some private entity?

Will a lottery platform like that get more traction?

Does something like that already exist?

Well I decided to explore one, not by creating a software but by simply pooling a bunch of tools that already exist.

Motivation:

Looking for symbiotic ways to finance a project.

Tools:

  • Chat platform (Telegram)

  • Tipping bot (CCTIP)

  • Moderator (Human)

  • Group management and anti-spam tools. (BOT)

Why these tools?

Telegram provides the communication platform.

Tipping bot provides the wallet and the randomized tipping event.

Moderator oversees it all.

Anti-spam bots and group management tools help with the community management.

Plan:

No skin in the game for the moderator. A transparent 5 percent cut on total staked.

Winner takes all.

To Be Anticipated:

Wallet provider/tipping bot fee

To Be Decided By Community:

What token to stake with (Thinking BCH)

How much it should cost to participate

How many winners should share the pooled stakes.
