You know we've had a lot of request on Facebook and email on topics related to getting started in Fly fishing. So I decided to put together a whole series here a little mini-series which am breaking this into simple steps to help you get started in Fly fishing.

The first thing I wanted to talk about is some of the common misconceptions and six basic things you're going to need to understand.

•  A  lot of people think fly fishing is hard.

• A lot of people also believed that fly fishing is too expensive.

• A lot of people think that fly fishing is just for trout.

Six Basic things that you will need to get started in Fly fishing.

• Rod; You will need to have a rod .fly rod is a pretty critical component.

• Reel; you will need to have a fly reel 

• Line System; you will need to have a fly line system and that line system is composed of three parts  backing, composed of the fly line itself and it's composed of a leader; a leader is a connection between the fly line and the fly 

• Flies; you will need a hand full of flies 

• Accessories; you will need to have a few basic accessories 

• Water; you will need to have access to water or lake with fish
