Procrastination is a constant journey of forgetting the inevitable consequences in the hope of gaining short-term satisfaction. Constantly running away from responsibility.

Tim Pichale of Carleton University in Canada and Fuchsia Cyrus of the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom say the study was a joint effort by the two psychologists.

The work that we have to do is somehow responsible for making us feel bad. Maybe the job is monotonous, or the job is likely to fail. We seek a kind of refuge to get rid of this mental feeling. In order to get rid of this bad feeling, we try to do something else, which gives us temporary satisfaction and the brain reaches a relaxed state.

A study on the emotional background of procrastination at Case Western University in Ohio found that-

Low mood or mood swings only increase the tendency of procrastination if a person believes that it is possible to be in a good mood and if he finds something enjoyable around him.

Mood freezing placebo, on the other hand, if one can be convinced that there is not the slightest chance of his mood being good, then surprisingly that person no longer feels the urge to procrastinate. In the language of psychology, this is called 'hedonic shift', which means avoiding the future for a moment in exchange for instant happiness.

Another study by Fuchsia Cyrus found that habitual procrastination or procrastination can lead to a number of health risks when it becomes excessive and becomes accustomed to constant procrastination. Habitual procrastination acts as a 'vulnerability factor' to a person's various physical and mental illnesses. For example, it creates a high risk of depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, chills, fever and heart disease.

There are two main causes of procrastination.

First of all

* Due to procrastination, a person is constantly moving away from reaching goals in his personal life. * He was plunged into deep despair by this successive blow of failure.

* No matter how much he wants to keep work away, this avoidance creates stress in his brain.

Secondly

* The main task is losing the time allotted for it due to delay.

* In addition, many other tasks of daily life are not performed at the right time.

* Not eating or drinking, not exercising, not getting enough sleep - all these then become part of the daily routine.

One thing is clear, procrastination or procrastination is in no way related to time but is directly related to our mood-dependent habits or emotions.

Students who are accustomed to procrastination are driven by their emotions. Fear, apprehension, anxiety - all this pushes them away from their responsibilities. At the same time they cannot be truly committed to their work. They are easily affected by any kind of negative feelings and lose their responsibility towards work.

Ways to get out of procrastination:

* To get out of this vicious cycle of procrastination, work must be divided into the smallest parts.

* The smallest part of the work of a large body that can be done in one go, that is all that needs to be done.

* In order to focus on work, one has to be immersed in the flow of the present, right now, without looking at the past-future.

* In this case meditation can be a very fruitful step.
