The story of this cartoon is very interesting. A robotic cat named Doraemon travels back in time from the 22nd century to help a boy named Nobita Nobi.
Nobita used to score poor grades and is frequently bullied by his two classmates, Gian and Suneo. Doraemon was sent to take care of Nobita by Sewashi Nobi, Nobita's future grandson. Doraemon has many gadgets, which he gets from The Future Departmental Store. The gadgets was used to help Nobita. Nobita's closest friend was Shizuka Minamoto and Nobita used to love her who eventually becomes his wife in the future.
