The Lotus Temple of Mashriw Al-Adhkar meaning (a place where uttering the name of God arises at Dawn) isa house of worship consecrated and opened to the public on December, 1986 at New Delhi, India.

As at the early 21st Century, it was one of the only Nine Mashriqs of the world.

It has the structure of a Nine sided Lotus flower, sorrounded by Nine pools and red sandstone pathways on an elevated plinth on 26 acre expanse of garden landscape.

It rises to about 130 feet in height and it's central prayer chamber can hold up to 2,500 people at a time.

The temple is open to all and is quite a notable attraction in India.
