Last Monday, German security authorities shut down the servers of the store called "DarkMarket", a market in which more than 2,400 sellers of drugs, credit card data and malware sell to nearly 500,000 users.
The store previously achieved 320,000 sales, worth $ 170 million, and more than 4,650 Bitcoins and 12,800 Monero were traded on it.
The DarkMarket describes itself as a women-led store, which is proof that women have the power to run drug cartels, passport fraud, credit card fraud and sell them online.
Where the management of the "DarkMarket" store based on the dark web had previously stated on Dark.Fail, by saying:
We are the first local market, exclusively run by women!
But the man detained on suspicion of running the "DarkMarket" was a 34-year-old man, an Australian citizen.
According to Agence France-Presse:
Investigators expect to use the data stored there to launch new investigations against brokers, sellers and store buyers.
The Cybercrime Unit of the German Prosecutor’s Office in “Koblenz” led the investigation, through cooperation with "Europol", the National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom, and the various crime follow-up agencies "DEA", "FBI" and "IRS".
And the investigations resulted in finding the location of the store's servers, which were hidden in each of the countries of "Moldova" and "Ukraine".
According to "Dark.Fail", the legal authorities were able to obtain the details of the suspicious store after analyzing the servers long before the arrest, or they might somehow penetrate the market, or they were able to see an undercover employee at the "DarkMarket" support interface.
Lately, many stores based on the Dark Web have faltered after they caused a mistake to remove all recent "Tor" addresses.
The Yellow Brick Store has also disappeared and took its users' money with it.
It is not clear why, although Dark.Fail indicated that the store was a fraudulent aim to steal its users' money.
The darknet is well-known as a haven for illegal activities.
