Wolves, also known as lycanthropes, are legendary humans who can change body shape. As the name suggests, the unique body of a werewolf can be transformed, giving preference to the image of a wolf. The history of werewolves originated independently in each geographical region, extending to almost all areas of the Earth.

The werewolf is a mythical creature and one of the oldest legends about human monsters in world history. The real source of the legend can only be guessed at. Fortunately, ancient humans took care of capturing and preserving the creatures of the alien world. Although the wolf has always been a dangerous creature in medieval times, it was still respected.

The monster’s other name, lycanthropus, is less ingrained, but may be a hint of the origin of the mythical creature. Wolves are a mythological or folk race of people with the magical ability to turn into wolves.

The person this creature bites or scratches becomes a monster. Obviously, the saliva and blood of werewolves contain the strongest poison, causing a terrible mutation and an introduction to magical powers. The incredible transformation is often associated with the appearance of the full moon, which is often mentioned by the medieval chronicler Hervaza Tilbury.

Wolves are often attributed to superhuman strength by heightened feelings, far superior to the power of wolves and humans. The human beast is usually of a European legend, but knowledge of this race spread around the world in later times.

Werewolf-like creatures are known in stories around the world, especially among Indians, although most are associated with other species of animals.

Throughout its long history, lawsuits have been found with recognized or accused werewolves. In fact, they hunted for a mythical creature in the past.

The suspects were executed in much the same way as witches and wizards, as they were often accused of being capable of turning into animal bodies. Such myths give us a historical view of the unbridled human faith in werewolves.

Many of the accused were executed because the locals needed someone to answer for the dead cattle or in some other way. At the same time, people were accused of actions that are much more vicious and less probable, however, in the eyes of the judges, there was a verdict - a werewolf!

PLUMBING - CURVITY, ENFORCEMENT

In 1521, Pierre Burgot and Michel Verdun were executed as werewolves. Historical documents show that they were serial killers. In France, in 1573, a werewolf named Gilles Garnier was executed again, who was recognized in a series of murders. Of course, the term "maniac" did not exist at that time, and similar cases were classified under the accusation of "werewolves".

There have been many stories in Europe where real wolves roamed in abundance. Maybe people of carnivores are connected to people who behaved like devilish beasts, as if obsessed with the influence of hellish forces? It is now unlikely that we will be able to find a reliable source from the “dark age” that clarifies the essence of the phenomenon.

A well-known case of werewolf is a person from Germany named Peter Stump (or Stubbe). Petra was presumed to have been captured by neighbors in a phase of transformation into a human body.

They became eyewitnesses when Peter took off the "wolf's belt" (more below), and the frightened ones locked the werewolf in the barn.

At the time of the trial, the suspect was completely transformed into his usual human form and was admitted to murder, rape and cannibalism. His mistress and daughter were executed immediately after Peter's death.

The reason for their execution? Because of what they knew about the crimes. Yes, these were terrible times when a daughter was executed by her daughter for rape, but they were trying to curb the birth of werewolves. Her father killed his brother and ate his brain before people caught him. In fact, stories about werewolves are full of all sorts of abominations, which is even embarrassing to mention.

Although such cases are a sign of a long-held belief in werewolves, they are not the first descriptions of human transformation in history. The oldest story about the life of a werewolf, it is not terrible through the disgusting facts that the execution carries out, this is an ancient Roman myth.

Theories and werewolves.

Let’s not disassemble, no one knows the true history of the werewolf’s origins except perhaps the indigenous werewolf breed. But there were several possible reasons for the appearance of legends. It is possible that the night attacks of wolves on the settlements led to the emergence of legends.

The people suspected of the crime were subsequently tortured to confession and ... "evidence" appeared in the boiling cauldron, strengthening faith in werewolves. It is possible that the history of werewolves was shaped to explain rabies.

In the end, people really get infected by the bites of angry animals. Moreover, in our time there are "werewolves", although it is called clinical lycanthropy and is a mental illness when people consider themselves in two forms "beast - man"

One possible reason for the legend of mythical creatures is very well combined with historical werewolf hunters, and people have tried to explain this with vampirism. it can be traced back to a royal family that had a special taste for bloodshed, for example, Vlad Tepes of the Basarab clan (and there are few historical facts that confirm literal vampirism). However, the vampire myth explains only the bloodstream, but not human flesh.

History tells us that cannibalism is not a trait common to all bloodthirsty maniacs. Therefore, another explanation may have been needed - to introduce mythical werewolves.

The origin of a werewolf creature will never be known. Ovid could have been the initiator of the birth of mythical creatures. However, beyond the limits of historical reality, we cannot deny that werewolves could have been in oral history even before, say, Ovid, who penetrated our reality from an alien world. Any of the above reasons is plausible. And we can't know for sure, and it is unlikely that we will find reliable evidence that werewolves are real or just a mythological idea of the author.

Various werewolf conversion procedures have been reported. One of the easiest is to wear a wolf skin belt. Covered with a potion from the devil himself, the "werewolf belt" gave man supernatural and even magical abilities. At the same time, the infernal essence has absorbed human consciousness and penetrated our world.
