How Did I Start Playing Yu-Gi-Oh Card Game?!!

Oh hello there. Did you hear about a card game called Yu-Gi-Oh? Let me tell you something about it. It's true Yu-Gi-Oh is supposed to be a children's card game, but in reality it's NOT! At least not directly anymore. So let's start from the beginning:

 Long ago, when the pyramids were still young, the Egyptian Kings played a game of great and terrible power. But these Shadow Games erupted into a war that threatened to destroy the entire world. Until a brave and powerful pharaoh locked the magic away, imprisoning it within the mystical Millennium Items. Now, five thousand years later, a boy named Yugi unlocks the secret of the Millennium Puzzle. He is infused with ancient magical energies, for destiny has chosen him to defend the world from the return of the Shadow Games, just as the brave Pharaoh did five thousand years ago.

The anime is actually great. You can learn a lot about Egypt and it's culture. About gods and all. When i started playing the game was much more easyer than is today. I start almost from the beginning of the anime which start in 2002.

At the start the game was pretty easy since the rules was not quite estamblished yet. But since then, the game so much progresed that's nuts. Technicly and phisically and in $$$ values. A lot of strategy is based on persons mind and how you will defeat your opponent quickly as possible.

Yu-Gi-Oh Decks cost from $150 to $2800 or even more. So you see why i write before that's not techniclly a children card game. Because who in the right mind will buy a deck of cards worth $2800. :D

Tipically you learn stuff, when you read a rule book correct? NOT REALLY. When i started playing yugioh card game i watch the anime and from there i learn basics how to play it. I play yugioh now for 20 years and game changed dramaticly from where i started. You need more brain cells and a lot more strategy to beat your opponent.

Would i recommend start playing yugioh for beginners? Yes, if you commited to it, otherwise honestly no. But it's fun game to play, if you get into it.

If you hate math; you will also hate yugioh game since basicly yugioh is also a math game. Let me tell you a joke about yugioh game.

a math teacher caught a student playing yugioh on the computer in math class. Obviouslly she was mad until he shows her the 'math' numbers on it. After that the teacher give a student an A for the whole year.

A lot of cards are based on Summerian, Akkadian, mesapotamian and babylonian gods and goddessess. A lot of real facts from the real history was embeded in yugioh anime, that's why i also like to watch anime and learn game even more. I play the game as i say about 20 years and i'm still learning it since new mechanics comes almost all the time.

I must say i love yugioh card game a lot and anime as well. Specially yugioh 5Ds is my favorite yugih anime from the whole fransize.
