••AS-IS /OPLE/ISIS•• We have a small tree of AS-IS or OPLE or PANG-ISIS beside our house. It just sprout there and we let it grow coz my aunt told me that it brings luck. During my grade school days pinagdadala kami ng dahon nito every friday para pang-isis sa mga desks. Dati kasi made of wood ang mga desk, naabutan nyo pa ba ito? hehe! From the name itself , pwede sya pang-isis like sand paper magalas kasi ang texture nya. Aside from that i learned that it is also use to bring luck in any businesses you have. You only have to put a few leaves inside your cash box in the store and voila! it is believed that it could attract customers and more sales! Well theres no harm in trying , i should pick some few leaves later and put it inside our cashbox and lets see the results in a few days, hehe! I'll keep you updated. Maulang hapon sa lahat!

Teaching Kids at Home Can Be Overwhelming but it could be Fun! No:66-02 October 03,2022 It's been a week of no class for my little one and today will add up to it coz their school is still flooded. He misses his school friends as well as his Teacher. He misses doing stuff and a lot more from school. As he want to explore and try new things , it's a bit challenging now on how to keep him busy , sustain his enthusiasm to learn more and enjoy it as well. During the days of no classes his Teacher asked parents to help their children to answer some learning materials and modules to prevent further learning loss to students. It's like during the pandemic where learning was modular. Geez it's not easy to teach a child Math subject in our native language , like " ang lima ay kulang ng isa sa apat" wherein you can just say 5 is a smaller number than 4" you'll answer if the statement is true or false. I got confused for a while and it took me a while to process the information in my mind , i fell silent for quite sometime. My son asked to explain it to him further, and i was like , ganito kasi yan bhe... Oh! let us just use some counters honey so i could explain it better , lol! More learnings while having fun I'm glad that my first grader is eager to write and learn more. You just have to bribe him with chips and cookies,and his favorite snacks like bilo-bilo or palitaw just like what we had a few days ago. He loves helping me out in the kitchen specially when preparing snacks such as pancakes and the above mention Palitaw and Bilo-bilo. Both made out of glutinuos rice flour. One way also to ease childrens boredome when there is no classes. Let them be involve in doing something in the house. As a mom that wants to discover her childrens forte. I also allow him to help me out in preparing snacks, though messy and our small kitchen was like hit by a storm after ,lol! but worth the bonding and i should bear with it so he could learn and have some fun as well. I help him explore and do his things. He's really having fun while doing such stuffs. Playing plays an important role in children's learning. Play can stimulate their eagerness to learn. Aside from it , children has lots of stories to tell so you have to have an ear to them or else they will not stop asking unless you heard them well and replied to their unending inquiries . Learning together as they say coz by listening to them , you got to learn something from them too. It's not easy to teach beginners like my child coz they have short attention span, so you really have to allot some time and patience in teaching them. I have to look for some ways to get his attention and keep him seated without boring him while studying. A little bit of play will do the trick. A short break to do his stuff , such as doodling. His "tatay" is his favorite subject in practicing his art skills , hehe! His sister and him love to ink their tatay with their arts. Now that he's in first grade , he can read simple tagalog words and phrases that he had difficulty prior to face to face classes during his kinder year. Prior to our reading time , he would tell me ahead of time not to get mad or raised my voice to him, lol! He would utter a short prayer too , asking the Almighty for him to remember everything i would teach him. In Conclusion Being patient in teaching my 6 year old son requires lot of patience and diligence not only with his school subjects but also with simple things such as organizing his own stuff , putting all the things in it's proper places , cooking pancakes , how to be good , how to share ,how to be more loving and caring and yes! how to be PATIENt too! Goodness , it can be overwhelming but i have to do it . If i want my kids to be a kind and good human being , we as parents should do our responsibility of teaching and loving them . So when it's time for them to fly , i know they are equipped with strong wings and i won't worry much if that time comes. Now i'm seeing progress. It's lways been the beginning that is more difficult coz everything was new to him then but now he's getting the hang of it and most important is , He's happy learning new things. It's raining once again as of this writing , so i guess tomorrow there will be no classes once again. 😢Keepsafe fellows! Thank you for reading. If There's a Gambler , There's a Lot of Loser! No:65-01 October 01,2022 `" Show me a gambler and i'll show you a loser!" - Mario Puzo` I was awaken by a commotion in the neighborhood around 1 am . My husband went to the store to take a peek in the window to see what is happening. Geez it was my neighbors having a fist fight. They are my relatives actually and they are both drunk. They are siblings , and they were trying to pacify and be restrain by their youngest brother. They are all young adult and living together in one roof. I don't know the reason why they are fighting but it's a common scene whenever they are drunk. They are nice people actually when not intoxicated by alcohol but a different one when drunk. All their anger and frustrations in life they want to pour out when intoxicated losing control of their faculties. The youngest whose trying so hard to pacify them for minutes got pissed and get two knives in the kitchen and asked his two brothers to go on and kill each other if they don't want to calm down. I think the other one got back to his senses and stop. My husband tried to talk to the other one and asked him to leave his brother for the meantime coz he was so furious they might really kill each other in the process. So after almost an hour , huhu the dispute stops. It was already 2 am. === Just to have a little background of them. They are 6 siblings 5 boys and 1 girl. 5 of them have their own families. The bachelor one , let me call him Onin was one of those who had a fight with his brother last night. He's a nice guy , kindhearted and had lots of dreams. He used to be my husband's co-worker but resigned a year prior to pandemic. During the pandemic while others had no jobs , Onin was fortunate enough to land a job in a cable and internet company. Internet connections was on it's highest peak , demand was so high , Onin was able to raised enough funds in a short span of time. He was able to change their roofings into trusses amounting to 70k. He provide for his families needs as well as his nephews and nieces. He also planned to marry his co-worker at that time. Everything fell into places. He told me that he's just saving enough for him to settle for good with his girlfriend. He's planning to fix their house little by little in preparation for their planned union. Not until ... Online Sabong or Online Cockfight was introduced and became a trend during pandemic. He started to gamble and got hooked on it. First it was blissful as he was winning quite a sum of money , 20k upto a 100k. After work he would go to his pals playing Online Sabong while drinking. It became his routine. His winnings lured him more to play . As Onin want to "Sweeten the pot" or increase his winnings he keep on gambling. Days and months had passed and his luck runs out. His relationship with his girlfriend was affected that eventually turn to break up. His hard earned salaries was spent to gambling too. The company his working with, required him to get a professional driver's license. Fortunately he won a good sum that time and asked me to keep the amount for him to get a drivers license. My husband too was about to get his driver's license that time , so Onin said that he will take it together with my husband. He handed me 11k for the drivers license but after a few days he get the money from me. I found out that he betted the money and lose it. So ending my husband have his license now and Onin does not. Early this year , Onin attempted suicide. Luckily my husband was able talk to him and handed him the knife. We found out that he owned a huge amount of money coz of gambling. He lost his job too , he was terminated. And now he is suffering from anxiety and depressions coz of everything that had happened to him. Just last week , he went home drunk , telling us that his use to be friends are now unrespectful to him. He felt like he was dump coz he has no money unlike before. Then the occurence of last night fight with his brother. He's into mental stress and seem to freak out with little things. The used to be cool and forgiving man , now turn to a short tempered and hateful man. Am i going to blame him for his life now? Or the society we are living in? The order of the former President to stop Online Sabong permanently brought hope to his family that somehow he will not go back to gambling and cut his losses. In Conclusion As best gambler know that the house will always win , it was designed in favor of the house or else there will be no casinos existing right now. No online betting games or the like. The gambler as always will run dry his luck and so before it happens , you should quit ahead of time. Gambling is an addictive activity that one can get into. It can ruin your life . It is like a disease , where one may be addicted but your whole family will suffer the consequences. Just like what happened to Onin. He live his life with false hopes . Too late to get back to his girlfriend coz she has a new one now. No job , no money and no friends. Should i say better luck next time? Or be brave enough to reorganize his life, besides it's not too late to start all over again. Back to square one. Thank you for your time readers. To all my sponsors " Salamat ng marami!" love you all! `Lead image from Unsplash` grey23espartinas

Just for Fun! Hagonoy is a town next to where i live. The place is surrounded by body of water such as sea and river. Fishponds are common businesses in the area. Since the place is low lying just like our place it is also prone to flooding. So whenever there's hightide or typhoon , expect floods and fishponds will overflow. Literally fishes are catch in nearby areas where fishponds are located ,it means free viands for the lucky ones! lol! We Filipinos has it's way to lighten up our day amidst adversities. This photo made me laugh and say sana all! hahaha! Photo was a screenshot from my sister's post. CTTO of the original photo.

Thursday On The Road with Our Mighty Trike No:64-12 September 29,2022 This is day 4 that our town is submerge into flood water. Among the 30 barangay's , half of it is still flooded and that include ours. My first grader son don't have classes yet though my daughter whose into Senior High has , that's why we have to send her to school this morning. Some of the places within our town has high flood water level that they use boats to sail going to the main road . Fortunately , our place is beside the main road so we have easy access to go to town proper for our needs. Aside from the fact that our area is always the last one to be flooded coz it is somehow high. Though there is still water in our yard but not too high to cause too much discomforts. I pity those whose houses are almost half submerge into water for days now. They don't have much choice but to live with it. My daughter's school is over 5 kilometers from our place. Since some parts of the road is still in water we bring our " mighty trike " with us to send our eldest to school. We leave at exactly 6:30 am . Along the road we thought we can't make it coz of the current caused by the water coming from the fields to the road . We witnessed how other houses are almost half submege into water. Some vehicles too are park along the road . Good thing our "Mignty Trike" did make it and we were able to bring our daughter safe and dry to school just in time for her first class. If not for Mighty my daughter can't go to school coz no other vehicle are trying to cross the road and there's no public vehicle yet passing due to flood. The main road was used to level with the vast fields and it was elevated and constructed thrice to make it passable during this flood season but some parts of the road are still reach by flood waters. Based on the news another LPA or Low Pressure Area is forming that's why the community is worried about the rise of water. We are living in a place where floodings is a normal occurence during the rainy seasons though we are used to it but we can't help but feel sad and worry whenever it hit us. The recent pandemic caused people lots of mental stress and so facing another difficulty such as these make it harder for lots of people in the community. Since we are already in the town proper and it's not easy to travel due to current situation , i also went to the Water District Office to report my billing concern. Our monthly average consumption was only amounting to 800php + but upon receiving the bill this current month it was 1600php +.So i reported it for them to check the meter and the lines if there is some leak. You can only report the discrepancy within 7 days upon the receipt of the bill statement or else i would pay the said amount with no qualms. === It is raining as of this writing and i just utter a short prayer hoping it won't pour hard as it would add up to the rise of water. Grateful for our Mighty Trike , hihi ! Always ready for a bumpy or watery ride. Laban yaaan! That"s it for today . Thank you for your time. To all my sponsors " Salamat po ng Marami! Oh yes , water is still around. Photo sent by a friend who live in the same village but 4 blocks away from us. They are using boat to travel and go to the main road. Ours is near or beside the road so we don't have much trouble going to the town proper to buy our necessities. It's been 4 days already that we are submerged into flood water and boy! i heard another Low pressure area is forming. It's saddening but we can't do anything but to live with it. Keep on fighting as they say, life must go on! Have a nice day to you all folks! Come with me and let's have some sailing , lol!

A day with no classes plus Finders Keepers! No: 63-11 September 27,2022 Thank you oh! Lord for the nice weather today. Though there still water outside but atleast the weather calm down and giving us a sunny day that could help to dry the water gradually. Manifesting the line "there is sunshine after the rain "and there are muds to scrub after the flood, hehe! My little man is quite excited to wear his new Kab Scout uniform but since their classroom are still submerged in water , i guess it will take another few days for classes to open. So this morning i let him tried his uniform to give in to his request. Is'nt he cute in it ? hihi! My children ages 16 and 6 have their request for today. What will it be but food of course. The little one is requesting for a fried chicken and the eldest one a Squid Calamares for lunch's viand. I obliged coz during school days , i opt to cook viands with soup so they could eat easily without a fuss. *Mabilis pakainin pag may sabaw.* And the man of the house requested to cook the Tuna Tocino that my cousin gave us who went home from General Santos City . I was amazed by it coz the taste of tuna tocino is really great. Taste like young pork tocino and much better actually and healthier to mention it. Food ,food and food when they are all home ,lol! I kept on the fridge the leftover sauce of carbonara from my aunt's birthday last Sunday and i just boiled some pasta so we had pasta for our snacks today. Bonding at it's finest when there's food to partake. Carbonara is always present in every occasion in the family and i'm incharge of preparing it as always. Enough for foodtrip ,lol! let me tell you why there is Finder's keepers on my title. A week ago my husband attended his cousins despedida whose about to leave for US. They have'nt seen each other for quite some time now coz they are base in US already . So i let him attend even though it's a sudden occasion and i am so tired that day , i don't really want him to go so he could manned the store coz i want to sleep early but during weekends , we have a great deal of customer so i can't just close it , sayang ang benta. He went home pass 12 midnight and after a quick shower he dozed off easily. In the morning he seems looking for something. I heard him asking our daughter if she sees some money , a change from last night amounting to 300php or around 6$. Our daughter says she did'nt find anything. He coul'nt ask me coz he knows i'm just going to scold him and tell him sarcastically the line " Alak pa more" hahaha! ( go ahead and drink more alcohol!). But honestly neither do i did'nt see any money. Still i told him that he probably drop it somewhere or gave it to somebody but he insisted that he throw it somewhere. It was forgotten already after a few days. But yesterday since i was organizing and arranging some stuffs coz of the flood threat , hola! i have found it! hoho! I found it under the cabinet beside our bed. It was 340php to be exact . Oh! me and my daughter are laughing so hard finding it coz we did'nt believe his dad that time coz he was drunk when he got home that night. We we're laughing our heart out when he enter our bedroom and asked us why? We just stared at each other and smile widely to his dad. Ssssshhh! And that's where we got the money for our fried chicken and Calamares for today . Ang saya diba? hahaha! Finder's Keepers! lol! That's it for today. Grateful to spend the day full and satisfied despite the flood. Hope your day went well too. `All images are all own by yours truly.` Thank you for your time. To all my sponsors " Salamat ng Marami"! God pour more blessings upon you guys. You are all much appreciated. Love you. grey23espartinas

Storm was over and we are spared from the heavy rain but floodings , we are not. This is the current condition of our place aftef the storm. I am sadden that my childs has no classes not only today for sure but for the coming days due to flood. First photo was inside my first grader son's classroom. Despite that it has been elevated a week ago , it is flooded still. Be safe everyone and hope the water subsides fast.

@grey23espartinas

Flood , Flood Go Away! Don't Ever Come Again! No: 62-10 September 26,2022 The storm was over but floodings in our area is just about to begin coz of few dams open their gates to release some waters. Our place is a catch basin of waters coming from the North which was the main area affected by the recent storm. We are also near the river that aggravated the situation coz it is now shallow coz of the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo decades ago , it was filled with sands and lava from the said volcano. So after a heavy rain , floodings is a normal occurrence. As of 10 in the morning , water was just starting to flow from the canal and now it already occupied the whole yard. We are busy now organizing our things and put everything upstairs. Such as the carpets , chairs and our christmas tree that was just put and decorated last week.Huhu! My husband send my cousin and Aunt who celebrated her birthday yesterday to nearest terminal so they could go back to Manila safe and sound. And boy! This is the situation of our road currently. Water are now overflows in the road and it's getting higher. My first grader Mateo is singing " Flood , flood go away , don't ever come again coz i want to go to school and be with my mates and friends!" hahaha! But sadly their classroom which was recently elevated a week ago is also now flooded. His Teacher sent us a picture of their classroom a while ago. Haist a week of no classes again for sure. It always sadden me when my childs schooling has to compromise due to such reasons. Geez! I should ready myself for a hard workout in the coming days coz we will do a lot of cleaning after this flood. Oh! back ache once again and sore hands for scrubbing and disinfecting. We are spared from the heavy rains but floodings? naaah , somehow progress has a collateral. Neglecting the primary reasons of floodings in our area and only focusing on the temporary solution which was elevating the road. Don't mean to rant coz we are used to this scenario's but sometimes i can't help but feel sad and make a wishful thinking that hopefully someday , somehow in the future , things will change for the better. That someone from the higher office will look into the problem and find the right solution for the floodings, the real and permanent solution and not a temporary one that would just waste government funds that is actually coming from us. Anyway, that's it for now. I should pack and arrange more things for now coz the water is really getting higher. Be safe everyone and to @UsagiGallardo215whose location is in a more serious floodings , be safe sis ! I guess it is much better if you relocate. Hope you are all ok , especially the kids. Thanks for your time folks. To all my Sponsors " Salamat ng Marami" as always! `All images are all own by yours truly.` grey23espartinas

Taking a walk and enjoying the cold air , christmas is really on it's way. It's been weeks now that i'm doing some steps coz i need to sweat though it's cold. The change of weather trigger my asthma , so to help my body to adapt to the cold weather i have to exercise so my lungs could breath properly and take warm water after. Good morning to you all! Join me with my brisk walk and enjoy the sun a bit later.

Are You Paying Your Taxes? Me? Yes, and here's why it's Worth Paying it despite... No: 61-09 September 22,2022 A Barangay worker handed me a notice a few days ago from our Municipal Treasurer's office regarding my Aunt's unpaid taxes for their house and lot. It was not meant to disregard the yearly payment of their real estate tax . It just that they are living in New York , USA now for over a decade and no one is living in their house anymore. So i informed my Aunt about the notice and yesterday i went to the Municipal Treasurer's Office to pay what is due together with the penalties for late payment. It only took me less than 10 minutes to process everything . I commend the newly elected Mayor of our town for an organized and smooth transaction that i had . No need to go to different windows as i only talked to one Municipal employee and assisted me all out regarding my queries. That's what you call "Good Change" in the system. Compare to my previous transactions in the office years ago , process took me so long and employees are pointing me to different windows to get this and that, now it's a lot better. No more fuss and employees are approachable and kind. It give me a sense of pride when i choose her for the position. I won't be heartbroken paying taxes coz i'm seeing development in our own Municipal's office. I know it's worth paying what is due to our local government. Last July i also renewed all the necessary permit for my little store. From DTI to clearances to permits, etc etc.. A law abiding citizen i am, hahaha! Sometimes it's hard to let go part of your hard earned money to tax when you are aware of corruptions in the government but we still have to comply or else more people will suffer if our government has no funds to meet the needs of it's people. So where our taxes go? Why do we have to pay our taxes if it will only go to someone's pockets, huh? Not all officials are corrupt anyway , so we have to pay what is due to help our government to keep on running. We should think more of what good it can do to help our people and probably just cursed the corrupt ones, hahaha! Some of our taxes goes to government expenditures . It help us to have access on our basic necessities and services such as water, power, roads, airports and Metro Rail Transit. There is an ongoing construction of PNR or Philippine National Railways in our area , connecting the Metro to Subic making travel fast , cheap and safe in the coming years. Our taxes also help us to be safe coz it is used to pay for the salaries of our Military personnel and Policemen whose making sure for us to have a peaceful environment. One of my prime reason why i am compliant and pay what is due to our government is, it also pays for the salary of our dedicated Teachers. Is'nt it feel good to help our teachers such as @TeacherLynlyn and other teachers here in the platform , doing their job excellently , with so much passion and love they are risking their life too just to teach our children. It's more than worth to be able to have my share of paying their salaries. By paying what is due , we are helping to educate our children and the future generation of our country. It also fund the construction of Public schools and buildings. Just last week our own Elementary school was under floor renovation , it was elevated coz the previous flooring was flooded as it was affected by hightides. Taxes coming from alcohol and tobacco are used to fund our Philhealth or the states Health Insurance Fund. Some taxes are used to help the poorest of the poor. They are given a monthly allowance like members of 4Ps - Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program that somehow help them to get by and survive difficulties of life. Free medical services from our Public hospitals and a lot more. When tax collections or tax revenues are low , all these basic services mention will suffer and will result to poor delivery of services. Let us all help our nation to build a better one in paying what is due . Let us help each other by paying our taxes. And to all the corrupt ones who pocketed what is not for them but for the people , may you all be tormented and haunted by your conscience. Peace be with you, eternal peace, lol! Anyway, did you know that by just buying some basic stuff in the groceries , you are already paying taxes? Yes through 12%VAT or Value Added Tax in some goods . So folks we are all contributors in building a nation so don't hesitate to ask for free services in any government offices , always remember that we are paying them so we have the right for such services. Thank you dear readers for your time. You are all appreciated. And to all my Sponsors " Salamat ng Marami" as always! God Bless you all more! `All images are all own by yours truly.` grey23espartinas

Sunday Boodle Fight and A Visit From "Putol" No:60-08 September 18,2022 It's my eldest sister 18th wedding anniversary last September 16 and my grandma's 10th death anniversary today.We celebrated it by having a boodle fight. 18 years seems so long but nowadays time is so fast you won't even notice it. ****Boodle Fight or Kamayan**** *is a military practice of eating a meal without any cutlery. Also known as the traditional Filipino method of eating with the barehands. It is also used to describe the Filipino communal feast where food is served on banana leaves and eaten kamayan style or without utensils. -****Wikipedia****.* During the pandemic all the occasions in our family was celebrated via boodle fight. Less expensive , safe and you can enjoy the sumptuos meal all you can. Today we had crispy ulo, grilled liempo , fried tilapia, grilled hotdog , steam okra and ice cream for dessert. We consumed it so quick as oppose to it's preparation that took quite so long, lol! Mga diet kuno , hahaha! Well , it's Sunday and it's cheat day, 4,000 steps after, lol! Visiting Lola We went to the cemetery to bring flowers and light a candle for our grandma's 10th year in heaven. We offer a little prayer coz we are in a hurry coz the rain is starting to drizzle. I wonder what our "Lola" is doing right now in heaven. Is she having a cup of her favorite coffee or is she a young angel there coz it was only 10 years since she was gone. Do you ever imagine what our dead loved ones doing in heaven too? If they see us from above? Or is it true that they still wander around after quite some time of their demise? Anyway, i miss my grandma and my mom too. My son's visitor My Mateo had a visitor this morning and it was his "Pare" Michael or Putol. As he promised two weeks ago that he's going to visit my son when he went to the farm where his biological father is working. Look at the young boy now , his eyes are bright as his smile and he's looking well and good. You can see that he is happy with his life after he was adopted by Sir Gerry. My son is glad seeing him and he immediately went to our room to get his "pogs" so they could play . They talked and play pogs and after , my son gave half of his pogs to him so he could play some more when he goes back to Pampanga. My son had a great day today seeing and playing with his buddy. It was a great day too for all of us. That's how we Spent our Sunday today. Thankful from the Highest for a blessed day. Thank you once again for your time. To all my sponsors "Salamat ng marami" and may God bless you all more. `All images are all mine.` grey23espartinas

Playing Fair vs Doing Fraud to Live No: 59-07 September 16,2022 Yaaay! It"s Friday once again and it feels good. Though weather is hot and i really sweat after going to the market , a bottle of cold Pepsi Blue quench my thirst ! Oh! how satisfying . I'm not fond of drinking soda but today aaaah! can't just resist. This taste really good by the way, not so sweet but the spirit of soda is there. If you're craving for softdrinks i think this is better than the dark colored ones. Anyway, After doing some errands like paying the monthly amortization of our motorcycle, we headed to the supermarket to buy some stuff for our store then to the wet market for our viand for the day. I got to observe how busy life now in the street and actually everywhere compare to a few months ago. You can see people now without wearing mask though i prefer to wear one still in public places. I'm not ready for a mask off in public yet. The experienced of thinking if it's your end already a year ago (i had a moderate to critical stage covid last year) was not a pleasant one, hehe! There's a bit of trauma left but soon i know it will totally be gone in my system. But for now , mask on in public won't be a bother to me. === As we arrived in the supermarket , our favorite parking attendant as always greeted us with a smile . He always have a space for us ready to park. We always go to the supermarket as early as possible to avoid traffic and crowd inside . We call the parking attendant "Tatay" (Father) coz he's in his 60's already. It's been almost two years that we've seeing "Tatay" in the parking area. Assisting the customers of the supermarket to the parking lot in exchange for a small amount. We always give him an amount that he would be delighted , small amount still but he seems always glad upon receiving it. My 6 year old son Mateo call him "Lolo" and always ask his presence when we are in the supermarket. He always bid goodbye to him and smile to "Tatay" when we are about to go home. My husband gave him a small amount last year as Christmas gift and this year , we are planning to give him something special. See how diligent some people are to make a living despite his age. We highly commend people like "Tatay" whose working hard and not be a burden to our society . This is what i'm saying often to my kids. It's not a sin to be poor as long as you know how to be responsible in handling your life. Work to feed yourself . Work to live and make a life. Sometimes it's really hard to meet both ends but still we can't just lie down and wait for somebody to help and feed us. Being lazy wont do us any good. It's more easy to give and help people who are helping themselves too. "Mas masarap silang tulungan". It feels good to help people like "Tatay" coz you know it's worth helping them. === On the other hand , after the supermarket my husband drop me to the wet market. I went to the meat section and while choosing meat , someone poke me on my shoulder and when i look at my back i saw a well built man probably on his 30's begging for money. I look at the meat vendor and asked her if the man was serious or if he was just pranking me.He does'nt look like a beggar. Really , i can't believe he was begging for money. The vendor told him " we are working here hard since dawn yet you are here begging ?" With your well built body and young age , you can still work and earn a living. I don't give him even a single cent and he looked at me as if he's going to eat me alive, i felt uncomfortable and vendors just told him to go away. When i was about to pay , we heard a commotion in the fish stall section. The vendors suddenly stop what their doing and listen to what is happening. Lahat naki " marites" syempre pati ako, hahaha! A woman around 55-60's was insisting to the fish vendor that she paid 1,000 pesos to the vendor. But the vendor told him that she only gave a 500 peso bill. The lady is handling a 1000 peso bill telling the vendor that she has two of it and the other one was given to the vendor. Two of the customer whose also buying fish told the woman that she only handed a 500 peso bill to the vendor coz the two buyer saw it confirming the statement of the vendor and she probably buy something already and forgotten about it. The vendor with a calm voice says to the lady that he's selling fish in the market for years and it's not their cup of tea to do fraud. I can attest to that coz i am one of their "suki" or regular customer. The woman pointed to the apron of the vendor with pockets in front and insisted that he put the 1000 peso bill in the said pocket. So in order to prove to the lady that he's not lying , the vendor put out all the money in his apron pocket in front of all the customers around and there's no 1000 peso bill there but only hundreds and 500 peso bills and the chaos stopped. The lady probably did'nt know that most of the people in the market, vendors or buyers know each other in the vicinity. Some may not know their first names but through their faces you'll know that we are living in the same area. And the lady they say is a new face and what we call " dayo" or not living in the community. How sad it was right? How sad how people turn to fraud in order to have more . I don't understand why the lady was unafraid of doing fraud . The man and the lady are those people who are the complete opposite of "Tatay" whose working hard to earn a living. Tatay the parking attendant deserve a reward and soon we will give it to him before Christmas. Playing fair to live seem hard but doing fraud is something you'll regret in no time. === Nearing Christmas , streets are busy and people are hustling in preparing for it ,saving for gifts and food to serve. Some are working really hard yet some also are on the go to do fraud. So be careful folks coz they are out also in search of their next victims. Thank you for your time. When Art Is In Your Heart, It Is Connected in Your Hands No: 58-06 September 14,2022 I love Arts since i was a kid. I dreamed once to be an artist. I want to take up Fine Arts in College but my mom was a single mom and we are three siblings for her to send to school all at once. It was quite difficult at that time and Fine Arts is an expensive course so i did not pursue my dream. I took up BSBA Major in Banking and Finance instead. Totally different from what i want. Though eventually i got to love numbers too most specially if it's about money, hahaha! I don't regret though that i did'nt pursue the course coz i can still sketch and draw or paint if i want. But yes , time does not permit me to do so. Since i got married and have kids i barely have a free time to do it. As years passed by , my love for arts was put behind my back but not totally forgotten. Once in a while , i still manage to do some sketching like this one. I was able to influenced my children into loving arts. When my eldest Rada was around 4 or 5 years old i saw potential in her. She loves doodling and sketching at a young age so i bought her arts materials to encourage her more. Now that she is sixteen , she's more into it and loving it the way i love it. Sketch pads and pencils is a must at home coz me and my two kids are using it. Sketching is my daughter's way to relieve her stress from school works and to relieve boredom during the pandemic. My youngest six year old son is also showing interests in arts cos he's seeing his "Ate" ( older sister) doing some art pieces from time to time and he said that he wants to be a "Tattoo Artist "someday . Well, we will support him all the way. I am so glad that my daughter Rada has her healthy outlet to relieve her stress and i think she's also an introvert like me. Lol! She rather do some art pieces than going out. Here are some of her pieces. What Art does to an Introvert like me? I am an introvert and i'm not fond of going out all the time . Aside from my love of reading , arts serve the same purpose for me. Reading and doing arts are my ways to run away or go some places without leaving the comfort of my home. Same with my daughter , if she's not reading , she's sketching. `As Thomas Merton says ;" Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time. "` During my younger years if i am depress , i read , i write poetry and i sketch . I was able to release my emotions through it. I was able to express things i cannot do by talking. If i remember it right it was Picasso that says something like " if there are words to express exactly your thoughts then there would be no painting at all". There are certain things that no words can explain but through paintings you can. All the emotions of the painter is in there while doing his arts. My husband love arts too but in different way. He had it inked in his body. My daughter says that if she have some tattoo materials someday and she will ink her first ever tattoo art on his dad. So she's telling her dad not to fill his body with ink yet and reserve a space for her , lol! coz he has to wait for that time. She's even practicing during the holiday last week on her father's arm and feet. We have different ways in expressing ourselves and me through arts and poetry . Mom says i inherit it from my dad who also love the same. I was not able to know him personally but he left something in me that remind me of him, and that was art and poetry. My whole fam love arts and somehow it connect us more . It give us something to do , to talk and bond with. I may not able to pursue my dream before but still i'm happy coz " If Art is in your Heart , It is Connected in your Hands" you will not forget it and you can go back to it anytime you want. Beside seeing my kids loving it too is enough for me to be happy and satisfied. Thank you for your time. To all my lovely sponsors " Salamat ng marami!" `All images are all mine.` grey23espartinas
