Boom! It All Came Back With a Blast! No: 57-05 September 12,2022 `"Karma is not just a Theory or a Word, if you don't believe , it will make you believe. "- QuotesLifetime.Com` Boomerang is a curved flat piece of wood that when thrown would go back to the thrower. That's how Karma works. Whatever you do will eventually goes back to you.Whatever you throw to people it will go back to you . Sometimes if you do good deeds , the return even if not expected is truly overwhelming. Same goes if you do bad or harm people without remorse , the return as well is beyond it's course and unbelievable. That is Good karma and Bad karma. Let me tell you a story that happened recently. === My husband prior to pandemic was an Aircon installer/Technician . He handles an area where he hops from different outlets of a known fastfood chain in our country somewhere in CaLaBarZon . He's dealing with the Store Area manager /Branch Manager most of the time. During the pandemic as expected fast food chain and restaurants was closed. My husband went home and stay with us and think of other ways to earn money. Aside from our Ukay -Ukay business and Variety or Sari-Sari Store , he also have his own racket or sideline. He was into buy and sell of equipments used in fastfood chains such as ice cold machine and fryer to name a few. He has contacts and access to different stores due to his recent works. First year of pandemic and we rely mostly on our savings. On it's second year that was the time he started pushing his hustle in buy and sell. Luckily , the former Area Manager of the fastfood chain he handled before gave him a call . The AM is now working in a New Company that target to open a restaurant nationwide . They are in the process of putting branches in the major cities despite the pandemic. The equipment my husband is selling is needed . Since it was a big contract my husband cannot supply all the needed equipment , besides we don't have papers and business permits to join for bidding in the company coz it was just a sideline hustle of my husband. So the AM asked him for help to look for a trusted supplier. My husband's highschool friend who is into selling the same equipments came into his mind. So , my husband introduced his friend to the Area Manager until they have agreed and closed a deal that the friend of my husband will supply the needed equipment. My husband acted as the medial man . After the necessary documents and bidding " the friend " now is the official supplier. As a sign of appreciation to my husband the Manager and " the friend" agreed that they will give a commission to my husband to every equipment that the company will purchase to " the friend" of my husband. Though agreement was verbal , the said commission was given to my husband accordingly per transaction. The AM was informing my husband about the purchases in a regular basis. Business went well and the restaurants are having branches in the major cities. Until last quarter of the year came and the AM congratulate my husband for a job well done and asked my husband if he was aware that his friend now is the major supplier of all the equipments needed by the company. All the heavy equipments that cost hundred of thousands and "the friend" is now dealing in millions of pesos in the company so my husband must be happy with the turn out coz he'll get to earn more too. That was the Manager thought. My husband told the AM that he was not aware of it and it's fine with him if he did'nt get anything from his friend from the other equipment. He was find getting a little from a certain equipment that they agreed upon from the start. So he did'nt say a thing from his friend. He just let it go coz it's not his cup of tea to ask for more. His friend is now earning millions from the company. Then one day , the AM forwarded an email to my husband indicating an order from "the friend" it was two equipment , the one that they have dealt with before, so it means 10k for my husband. My husband was waiting for his friend to send him the money that usually sent after two days of sending the check payment by the company to "the friend" .He waited for days until week but no money was sent. So he contacted his friend and ask about it but the friend told him that my husband advanced it already from their previous transactions. So my husband insisted that he did'nt made an advance and reviewed all their transactions and there was nothing in the record nor in his memory that he made any advance from his friend. But the friend was firm that he gave it to his brother to hand it to him. My husband got frustrated and talked to the AM about it and found out that his friend already talked to the manager and telling that my husband made an advance payment for it. My husband explained everything to the AM and cleared th itings out. Telling the AM that it's just money and i can earn it still but the trust to the friend was gone. From then on , he did'nt received any call or updates from his friend. My husband let it go and forget about it. The commission just stop even if the AM still informing him about the purchased equipment , he did'nt received anything anymore. I told my husband that it's ok . We can think of ways to earn anyway. The friend could enjoy his money all he wants and the thought that my husband was able to help him to have a better life was a sort of relief to us. Until last week , someone sent a video to my husband. It was a shocking news coz "the friends" house was on fire. Turning all to ashes the suppose equipments for delivery this week that costs 1.8 million pesos. Aside for that , his car and motorcycle and all aplliances was included in the said fire. The Area Manager called my husband and confirmed that " the friend" is in big trouble now for what happened. He lost a deal amounting to 1.8M pesos and don't know how to catch up with his lost. === Me and my husband honestly was not happy hearing the bad news. We are really sad for his friend. My husband was devastated too and prayed for his friend to somehow recover from his loss soon and most importantly to change his ways for the better. The AM told my husband that he guess it was the return of his act not only with my husband but also with other people coz we heard that he was doing the same with his own brother and other people too. We are not in a position to call it "Karma" but what do you think it was? Thank you for your time reading. As always to all my sponsors" Maraming Salamat!". And to the new one @Pinkchic thank you for choosing me. `Lead image from Unsplash.` grey23espartinas

Sino dito ang inabot pa ang comics at natutong magbasa dahil dito? When i was a kid , comics was the common reading materials we use to practice and enhance our reading skills. It was fun reading it coz you can choose what stories to read at masubaybayan ito. Naghihiraman ang mga magkapitbahay o nagpapalitan para hindi madoble ang kopya na mabibili. Those where the old days. How are you noisers ? Ang ineeeet no? hehe.

The Power of Prayers! My Son's Friend Michael Cut Finger And His New Dad! No. 56-04 Septemper 8,2022 Today is the feast of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and my daughter attended the mass this morning at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church where she is studying. Happy Feast Day Mama Mary. May you continue to intervene and pray for us. === Anyway , I want to introduce to you my son's new found friend "Michael or Putol" as we fondly called him. Michael is 7 years old and his mother died last year during the heights of the pandemic. They are 7 siblings and he's the 5th . Life is not easy for them as i see his siblings regularly buying some stuff from our store barefooted and with dirty shaggy clothes on. Just about 2 months ago when i started to see him and his siblings roaming around until i found out that their father is currently working in a farm nearby own by my husband's cousin. The farm is located near our place so i got to see them everyday. We are selling " Ukay -Ukay" before and there are lots of stocks that we haven't sell yet coz we stop on our live selling. We sorted the things that are good stocks and gave some to them. Clothes and some slippers for his siblings too. I also gave them extra candies or bread whenever they are buying from our store. His older brothers and sisters ages 14 below are also working in the farm. They are not attending school. Michael or Putol is a ver jolly kid. Despite their difficulties , you could see him smiling everytime he pass by to our store. He's a bit short for his age due to reasons we all know i guess, lack of nutrients. Since my son was going to school face to face last month of June and July, they have'nt met yet during those time. Just last month that my son got to see and know him. It was saddening that while my son was going to school then , i was seeing Michael and his siblings roaming around with mud on their shirts and feet. I found out that they are digging the vacant lot beside the road for a scrap metals to sell. A dump truck was dumping loads of soil and rocks from roads construction in a vacant lot beside the road. They were able to collect a few kilos of metal and sell them to buy food for lunch or dinner. They are doing it for some quite time already. Days passed that i was'nt seeing him. Until one day Michael bought a candy from our store barefooted . I scolded him and asked where the slippers i gave him coz the road is too hot to walk barefooted. He scratched his head , smile and say " madudumihan po kasi eh" ( it will get dirty ) And his hand caught my attention coz it was wrapped in a cloth. I asked him why his hands are wrapped. He told me that his finger was cut! I was horrified and asked him if it's ok to see his hands. To my shock , it's true that his finger was cut. His right hand was stucked in between large rocks while they are collecting scrap metals and the tip of his ring finger was crushed and literally fell off as per his story was. Goodness , as a mother i felt pity for the child. Are you okay? I asked, then he just nod. I gave him some snack and he hurriedly went away coz his brothers are calling him already. The child went through the pain for weeks until it was healed on it's own. He was not seen by a doctor even once. Aaaaah , what a pity. I used to tell him " akin ka na lang bhe, ampunin na lang kita" ( if you like it i will adopt you and be my son ) and he would just smile at me. If only i could do more than giving them food. My heart really ache for them coz they are nice kids and deserve a family that could feed and takes care of them. That's the reason why they call Michael , Putol recently. ***Putol means disjointed or cut off in english.*** Going back to him meeting my son. He went to our store one day and my son was playing inside it. I was in the kitchen and as i heard someone shouting "pabili po!" i know already that it was Michael. I heard my son talking to him . I was delighted seeing them talking and laughing at first meet. I heard them introducing themselves and days went by and they became friends. My son told me once that he's waiting for his "***pare" a term used for a close guy friend meaning*** "brother". So i asked who is his "pare" then it turns out to be Michael. Then when Michael arrives they would go outside then talk and play. I am glad that my son also sees him as a good boy and he even asked Michael to eat lunch with us. We included them in our prayers. For i can't do much for him. I was asking God to protect them always and somehow wished to give me enough means so i could help them more. Just two weeks ago , i heard Michael bidding goodbye to my son. He says that the business partner of his fathers boss in the farm would like to adopt him. I got to meet the old man whose going to adopt him coz Michael bring him to our store and introduced me and my son to his new father which is "Sir Gerry". He seems to be a good man and i was happy knowing that Michael is in good hands and will be taken care of this time. I asked him to have a souvenir picture with my son coz they wont gonna see each other often now coz he will live at Sir Gerry's place in Pampanga soon. **My prayer was answered atleast. I may not have the means to take care of Michael but God is so good he sent somebody capable of doing it. See how prayer works! How important it is your prayer to someone who are in need. The power of prayer is really great it can do miracles.** Just last Sunday , Sir Gerry and Michael visited the farm and also my son . I was really happy seeing him happy , clean and gained a bit of weight. Before they left again he bid goodbye again to his "pare" my son and promised to visit again next week. **Do pray for somebody it will surely be heard by above. It can do wonders we cannot and can change somebody's life for good in an instant.** Thank you for the read. For my sponsors from the past and until now as always " Salamat ng Marami!" grey23espartinas

Learning Loss , Aggravated by Pandemic No: 55-03 September 7,2022 `"The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn , the more places you'll go." - Dr. Seuss` I love reading but honestly i can't remember how i started to read letters or words during my early years. Mom was a busy single working mom so it's understandable that she can't spare some time to teach us coz she's busy to make a living for us. But i vividly recall how comics was a common reading materials during those times. How it helped us a lot in practicing our reading skills. How reading comics influenced our generations to love reading short stories. We were able to keep track of our favorite stories may it be drama , comedy or action series . Neighbors are exchanging different comics series to avoid buying the same copy. Then during my teenage years , pocketbooks are introduced and began it's trend. Newspaper was sold every morning and my granny used to buy one everyday . If you don't know how to read you won't be updated with the latest news or chika about your favorite artists coz not everyone has access to television. Reading was a part of our daily lives not just inside the classrooms. It was our way of entertaining ourselves. Aside from playing outside , climbing trees, taking a dip in the river , reading was included in our daily past time...Reading was a part of our childhood ,when we can't go out due to rain we resort to reading. But how about now? What happen to our children of today? ==== **According to UNICEF /World Bank joint report -** *Among the 122 countries ,schools in the Philippines during the covid surge had the longest closure. More than 70 weeks while the global average was a closure of 20-21 weeks. The report also found that fewer than 15 percent of 10-year-olds in the Philippines could read a simple text. 9 out of 10 Filipino children struggling to read simple texts by age 10.* It was a saddening truth that prior to covid pandemic there was a pre-existing problem in our country in dealing with our educational or learning backlogs. It was a very challenging task for our leaders to address the problem. There are learning backlogs prior to covid that should be address and one of their solution is ALS or the implementation of **Alternative Learning System** wherein out of school youth or those who stopped schooling due to various reasons can go back to school where they left of through the program. An effective measure i believed. The covid pandemic aggravate the pre-existing problem. The problems arises but we have no choice but to deal with it. Department of Education is currently struggling on how to effectively deal and find solutions to it. Our country is included in the list of having a **Learning Poverty according to World Bank .** Being unable to read and understands simple texts by age 10. Brings together schooling and learning indicators. Begins with the share of children who have'nt achieved minimum reading proficiency ( as measured in schools) and is adjusted by the proportion of children who are out of school ( and are assumed not able to read proficiently). There are many factors affecting the learning system in the country. Lack of resources , shortage of classrooms, materials for learning and of course poverty and other personal factors and hindrances. It truly sadden me how most of the children of the unprivileged are turning this days. Access to a quality education seem so far and unreachable for them. I belong to the poor but still fortunate to have complete meals throughout the day that i don't have to spend much of my time to look for our food just like the other. I still have time to teach my youngest whose into Grade 1 the basic of reading or probably be better on it in the coming days that schools cannot focus on coz of many students or learners that needed much of their attention. Students from the poor and low income families are greatly impacted by the pandemic . Learning loss should be address accordingly and it would'nt be easy and can be solve in a short period of time . It will take long as there was a pre-existing one that is being taken care of and the present one that should be face at the same time thinking of the future on how to effectively learn and adapt to our modern world. It will be a challenging task for our leaders and for us parents as well. There are lots of catching up to do. Reality should be face and we as parents has an important role in it. I don't want my kids to suffer in the long run. I should continue to allot time to teach my son the importance of reading and reading itself as well. Reading with comprehension and understanding. I know how hard it is especially for working parents but we can't just rely on their Teachers to teach them everything in school. All of us should work hand in hand in dealing with their learning loss. Let's start to teach them with Reading , as it will greatly help them in the process of learning more skills. Let us all fight learning poverty. Learning begins at home. Let's do it! As we learn a lot here @Read.Cash by reading , let us mold our children to like reading too and soon be part of this community to continue to learn and hope for a better future. An almost 100,000 thousand members here are a good numbers to know that reading is indeed a good habit that could bring us hope and continuos learning. Thank you for reading. `Lead image from Unsplash. Photos are all mine.` grey23espartinas

Untying The Knot , Legalizing Divorce No:54-02 September 03 ,2022 " For better or for worse , till death do us part"... I got married 17 years ago , turning 18 January of next year. So far so good , i've found my perfect match. Not a perfect man but just enough to complete my life. Not all romance and bed of roses , of course thorns are part of it. There are struggles and difficulties along the road but that what's make our marriage meaningful , strong and beautiful. For almost 18 years , we fought different battles together. My mom was not in favor of him but he did his best to win her heart , he worked on it. I taught him what to do ,what to say and what to bring whenever we are going home to our place. Until mom finally love him as a son. We face our battle together. I let him grow and so i am. Our differences helps us in that area of growing. What i lack he fills and what his weakness is my strength so i lift him up until his weakness became his strength too. Maybe we are destined . Oh , there are still minor fights , asaran or pikunan , i still get piss of his ways of not putting his dirty clothes in the laundry basket. Leaving glasses in the sink and eating junkfoods that influenced our 6 year old son. But he knows how to compromise. He will do household chores when i don't feel well. He let me sleep in the afternoon and manned our store. He ask permission if he wants to drink with his friends which is rare to happen now unlike the old days. Maybe our knot are tied accordingly? hahaha! Or too tight perhaps that no outside forces can untie it. Maybe we are lucky and we are indeed a match. But what about those who are need to end their marriages coz of many irreconcilable differences? Am i favor or are you in favor of legalizing divorce in our land? === A small trivia that i too was surprised upon knowing it. Did you know that aside from the Vatican City , Philippines is the only country worldwide that divorce is not recognize yet? Ok , i know that we don't have divorce here but i thought that there are still other countries as well. Actor turned Senator **Robin Padilla** proposed a Divorce Bill and *quoted saying : My bill is never meant to destroy marriages . We would never object to marriages that last forever. In fact, my bill aims to protect marriage , including the woman , the man and their children".* If you want to file the petition for divorce the following are in need to consider according to the proposed divorce bill: Two parties should have irreconcilable differences. Husband and wife cannot perform their respective duties or obligations in the marriage. The marriage was annulled abroad. They are living separately for two years already. There was an abuse a threat for the life of the petitioner. Having children outside marriage and a few more grounds.. Kindly check the link for a detailed divorce bill requirements https://ph.news.yahoo.com/rep-edcel-lagman-refiles-divorce-bill-094405956.html I am fortunate that i tied the knot with the right man . Having a simple yet satisfied and happy married life. We value the sacrament of marriage. We believed and understand it's sacredness. I don't personally need the divorce bill , it's not applicable with us but what about those who are stuck in a toxic one? I can't speak for others and the issue about it will take a long debate and i do understand the need for those who are abused but i should admit too that it will have both a positive and negative effect to our society. As infedelities are rampant. Lies is become a habit, will you end up your relationship and resort to divorce or you will try to work it out and give it a second chance? So what's your take? Thank you for the read. To all my sponsors "Salamat ng Marami". `Lead image from Unsplash` grey23espartinas

Christmas Na Sa Pinas! No : 53-01 September 02,2022 Though it's raining once again and there's a typhoon in the upper part of our country , it would'nt affect the goodvibes that the start of "ember" months brings to us. It is the cue for us Filipinos to start decorating for Christmas , setting up our "Belen" , and hanging our "Parol". You can hear the radio stations playing Christmas Carols and hearing it makes my heart sing with joy. You can now buy Christmas lanterns as they are now available for sale in the street stalls along the road. Majority of Filipinos are Christians and most of us are Roman Catholics and celebrating feasts are major part of our culture influenced by the Spanish colony from the 16th to 19th century. That's why we put real efforts in celebrating the special one which is Christmas. Yuletide season begin at the 1st of September and would last upto January. Most Overseas Filipino Workers including our relatives from different sides of the world are sending their "Balikbayan Boxes" this month of September so we can receive it in time before Christmas. Oh! just the thought of having something to receive makes us excited already. What more if you are the one giving? It's happier , fulfilling and joyful act. It is also the time where i start to buy gifts one by one until i completed what's on my list prior to the occasion coz i hate rushing things. I don't have a long list of "inaanak" though it's a family tradition to give gifts to family members and relatives. We we're not able to do it for the past two years because of pandemic. Hopefully this time will be much more fun. Though life was hard and inflation is really causing us stress , the "ber months" somehow giving us hope. It has a positive effect in me in particular . Probably because the ber months also bring a cold breeze at least at night. A comfy sleep at night will give you a light feeling too in the morning. The atmosphere seem glowing with positivity coz of the christmas decors everywhere. I am hoping to share even a little to a few some too. My cousins and I used to do such prior to pandemic and i'm hoping we could do it again this time. As my son always says " Sharing is Caring". It's the season of giving and even for a few people we want to share. As early as today , the spirit of Christmas is in the air. Hopes are high that everything will be fine and as the special day is getting near , let's do more hustles and make it a goal to make someone happy on that day aside of course from our families. Let's start the vibe and feel the spirit and have a taste of early christmas at bumili ng "Puto Bumbong at Bibingka" sa kanto. Spread love and kindness folks! I am excited to celebrate it with you guys. Let's start the countdown now! 114 days to go ! Hope we all have a blasts! Maligayang Pasko! `Lead image from Unsplash. Will Love Be The Cause Of Evil? No: 52-14 August 31,2022 Our internet connection was out since yesterday coz there's a maintenance going on. The main line was affected by the electrical spark is that occurs a few blocks away from our place. So i'm using data today. Can live without television but without internet is another story, hahaha! The rain is pouring once again , hooray to a cold breezy day but not to the flood it might bring. Be safe everyone! ==== I read an interesting article of @HappyBoy early today about the movie he watched recently " Loving Adults" ( Thanks to you , i got something to write now, lol!). It made me asked myself if it's really love that cause all of the sinful acts in the movie or it's the behavior and personality of the character that's within them in the first place. It was a great narration of @HappyBoy as if i also watched the movie too. But yes, i also checked the movie upon reading his article coz i got interested hahaha! Let me just summarize it. It was a story of a couple where the wife gave up her promising carreer as Violinist to take care of their child who has a long term illness . The husband cheated on her that eventually led to a plot of killing her to literally put her in silence coz the wife also know about the fraud or financial scam that he was in , to be able to raise funds for their ill childs medical expenses . Ok the plot of killing the wife turn epic failed coz he killed a wrong woman on the road instead of his wife. The wife learned about it and promise to cover it if he would kill his mistress , but the husband could'nt kill the mistress coz he love her so the wife do the act and they got away with it. By the way the wife already had a history of commiting the same crime coz she killed her ex boyfriend too coz of he cheated on her too. She pushed him into a cliff. The ending? Seems like they got away with it coz the last scene was showing they are throwing the bones of the mistress in a lake. We often heard in the news nowadays about "Crime of passion" wherein crime was committed due to infedelities of either parties. Jealousy , lies ,obsession and behavioral problems that was link to "LOVE". Is love really the culprit? The movie dwells on how our minds work when we are being hurt and cheated. As human we want immediate revenge. It's like " thinking out loud". What our minds are thinking , and what we want to do at that moment of hurtful event. How we planned everything in our mind and get away with it without anyone knowing it. How we want to escape realities of life. How easy it is to eliminate a problem if only we could execute what's on our mind. That's how i see the movie. The creative writer wants us to see "what is playing in our crazy mind " whenever we are hurt. The wife Leonora killed his ex boyfriend Mike by pushing him into the cliff because he cheated her. Easy huh! And now that she's married and the husband cheated on him too , she wants the mistress to be out of the scene so killing her was her solution once again. Easy way out. Smooth criminal. But in realities it won't be the same. Though we are hurting we are still in control of the real set up . We don't easily resort to kiling someone to smoothen everything up. The writer tries to bring us into " realm of our mind" where we can do anything we want smoothly even if it's an evil act. However the husband portray the realities of life. How human finds solution to a problem. How fear of facing realities brought us into a more complicated life. Trying to tell us that " the end does'nt justify the means".Doing fraud just to sustain the medical expenses of their child was still not right. **That infedility is a rampant issues of todays world. That in reality. A mistakes or wrongdoing cannot be covered up by another wrongdoing coz it will lead to an endless sins that will destroy your well being.** So is it love that cause all of the sinful acts? I guess not. It's how we deal in our dillemas . I don't think that love drives the wife to kill his ex and live a life without regrets . I think she's crazy from the start. And the husband should have been file a divorce as a way out instead of cheating. Lies will lead us to nowhere but to a world of illussions that only liars can believe and understand. I still believe that love can change and make our world better and not the other way around. Thanks for reading. And once again @HappyBoy thanks for leading me into that movie that got my interests through your article. And to all my sponsors as always, Salamat ng Marami! `Lead image from Unsplash` grey23espartinas

YOLO - Your Obligation is Long Overdue. Pay Now "YOLO" later! No: 51-13 August 27,2022 YOLO - You Only Live Once as we oftenly hear from the young gens so better live life to the fullest! Make the most of the present moment and don't worry about the future. Oh! how easy it is to say than done huh? A don't worry be happy lifestyle. === I have a small variety store or we call it in our native language " Sari-Sari Store". If you have a business may it be big or small , credit is part of it. Some will pay weekly or some every payout or payday. Would it be every 15th or 30th or 10th or 25th of the month. I allow them to get their daily needs from our store and then pay it later. There are some that was'nt able to pay on time but it's ok as long as they inform me and tell me the reason why. I know if they are telling the truth coz most of them are living in the same compound that i live. And if somehow they are just making alibi's , i just shrug it off. I don't care much if they lie coz i believe i am not the one they are fooling anyway. I am not the type either who will scold them or said something to hurt them coz of the things they owe me. I have patience long enough to wait but not for a lifetime, hahaha! Communication is always the key. Talk to me and everything will be fine . Though i have one rule , you are not allowed to add something in your credit lists unless you settled the previous one. Like if you were not able to pay your dues in your recent payout which is commonly every 15th of the month then i will not allow you to get something from my store unless you settled it first. As simple as that. I'm doing business anyway and not charity. So my being lenient has it's boundaries. When it comes to lending money , i only lend what i am ready to lose. Just like in crypto huh? An extra money that it won't bother me if you can't give it back in time or even if it will take long for you to pay me. Or for some who does not even bother to pay me at all. I took it as my loss but at the same time thinking i was able to helped them and so i just let it go but only if it's a small amount. However, there are some cases that we can't avoid like in emergencies. If there is an urgent need like hospitalization . Just like what happened during the heights of pandemic . My husband went home one day and told me that a relative of him was worried coz his wife is about to give birth and they rushed the pregnant wife to the hospital but swab test is needed so they need 4,000 Php for the swabtest for both of them asap! Since it was an emergency i lend them the money immediately as they promised that they are going to give it back as soon as everything was settled in the hospital. So everything went well until they were released to the hospital safe and sound. Of course i did'nt ask them about the money yet. Until such time that i am wondering if they are going to pay me back coz it's already past 3 months. So i asked my husband to remind them . It was still pandemic so i would understand if they could'nt pay me back in full. Aside from the 4k they also have around 2k credit on our store so for me 6k is a big amount . I'm starting to get agitated but still keep my cool coz they said they are having a hard time coping coz of the pandemic and so i waited ... until it was a year ,until the baby was already walking and turning a year old. And geez! They throw a grand one year old birthday party! We are even invited to the party. So i was like , oh! let's attend the celebration. They might give us the borrowed money this time. And so we attended... I even brought a dessert for the birthday boy and gifted him 500Php. The set up was cool and fun , jungle theme with photo booth and tables and chairs was neatly arranged. Decoration was awesome and the food was great as well. *Pinaghandaan ba !* But to my dismay , nohing has been said about the borrowed money from a year ago. After we had our meal ,we went home immediately. I was like , ano na? My husband as well was furious but does'nt want to ruin the day but was firm to talk to the couple regarding it the day after. I posted the lead image i used here in my fb account that day cos i was really pissed. Would you believe that it took another 6 months before they were able to pay that amount? One and a half year to be exact. And in between that period. There are posts i was seeing from the wife , asking how much was the hair color and rebond would cost, is it allowed to bring a child to a newly open foodhub , going to the mall, cakes for their son on his monthly birthday, etc.. etc... In conclusion , i don't care really how other people live their life. Post what you want , eat where you want , buy what pleases you and post it in social media for all people to see but just make sure you settle everything that you owe first. I don't think it's nice to post " feeling blessed " in your my day while somebody is feeling unblessed coz of your act. We only live once , yes it's true but make sure to live your life right. If Y-our O-bligation is L-ong O-verdue consider paying or settling it first before posting a happy moment in a restaurant or a starbucks coffee in hand with a caption " You Only Live Once" so be happy don't worry , seize the day $h!+! Pay now and YOLO post later. lol! Thank you for the read! And to all my sponsors , Salamat ng marami as always! Kindly check their works too frennies , it's awesome! grey23espartinas `Lead image is mine and originally posted in my fb page Room of Thoughts.`

Not Everyone Has The Chance To Grow Old No: 50-12 August 25 ,2022 Sun is up in it's scorching heat and who would have thought that there was a recent storm that made classes suspended yesterday . As if nothing happens and Mr. Sun is alive and shining brightly again. Doing his task everyday , rise and set and give light continuosly for the whole world to see. Never gets tired of being a Sun. An immortal Sun that exists around 4.6 billion years to date and could last according to experts for another 7 billion years or more. Adding years but not growing old huh? Would you want to live long like the sun? Or be an immortal like vampires perhaps? According to ****Guinness World Records -****The oldest living human on record who died in 1997 at the age of 122 is **Jeanne Calment** of France. Researchers stated that humans can live 120-150 years maximum. Beyond that and our body will have a complete loss of it's resilience to combat illness and may not recover from injuries anymore. Many are scared to grow old. Fear of growing old coz somehow it connotes death. Anxiety of being left alone , or fear of being incapable or having no resources to sustain their needs when they grow old. Whose going to take care of them and many more anxieties that comes with growing old. Here in the Philippines , we have strong family ties and it's common in every household to live with our elders. We give importance and valued their presence at home. I grew up with my grandparents and they have great influence on my personality and outlook in life. From teaching us household chores in detail , planning meals for the whole week , cooking , washing clothes upto how to maintain a soft and silky hair , it was all influenced by my granny. Taking care of them was not hard for us . It was fun actually . Though there are times that my grandmother was a bit strict but it was all for our good. Our food was always freshly cook but budgeting was really hard coz one viand was not enough , lol! If there's a stew or veggies there must be something fried. Many are afraid of it yet some are not lucky to reach that age. My Mom dies at the age of 51 , too young for us to take care of coz she's capable of everything before she was diagnosed with cancer that eventually lead to death. We were not able to see her getting old. A reward we realized later in life coz we don't have to worry about her in her late years. Not that we don't want to take care of her but she gave us the full privileged of focusing in our own respective families upon her early death. That's how mom's are right? My mom really does'nt want to be a burden to us. `"It's very simple. As you grow , you learn more. If you stayed at twenty-two, you'd always be as ignorant as you were at twenty-two. Aging is not just decay, you know. It's growth. It's more than the negative that you're going to die, it's also the positive that you understand you're going to die, and that you live a better life because of it." - Mitch Albom` Me? I want to reach old age. I want to see the world how it would change as i grow old. I want to witness my kids to have their own families. I want to know and learn more . I want to see changes on my face , how i would look if i turn 50,60 or 70. I want to witness the future of BCH , i want to spend my life with my friends enjoying a 20% discount in every establishments. ***I am not afraid to grow old but i am afraid to lose my memory. My memory that will keep me company if no one else stay to take care of me. I don't want to be an immortal , just want to live long enough as human.*** I don't want to defy aging , just want to grow old gracefully. Thank you. grey23espartinas

Magical Monday! She gave Birth on Our Trike! No:49-11 August 23 ,2022 Our day started a bit early yesterday. Not only because it's first day of school. I set up my alarm at 5:00 am so i could attend to the needs of my two children whose going to school , prepare breakfast and made sure they will not be late for their first day. The youngest is in Grade 1 and the eldest is in Grade 11. But i heard a knock and calling my name prior to my alarm. It was 4:15 am upon checking the time on my cellphone. Since i have a store i thought it was just an early customer in need of an emergency stuff from my store. So i open the little window infront and i saw my cousin waiting for me. Then i asked why? " Ate, manganganak na yata si Ann!". ( I think Ann will give birth any moment!) Whaaaat?? Ann is the wife of my second cousin and she was scheduled for a Ceasarian birth on her 37th week of her pregnancy on September 5. So i was shocked of her sudden cramps coz it's too early for labor. So i hurriedly wakes up my husband to help and bring them to the hospital. My husband hastily stand up from bed and headed to our comfort room to splash water on his face to wake up his senses and change his clothings. I also went to my cousin's house which is just adjacent to ours and check her wifes condition. She was on her knees holding her belly as if any moment the baby will come out. She could still contain the pain coz she's still smile a bit when i asked her some question. Is the cramps in regular time interval already ? Like every 20 or 10 or even 5 minutes interval? She told me it's already in 10 minutes more or less interval. Awwww! so if that's the case then you'll be giving birth soon. Goodness! Go pack her things ! I said to my cousin , the baby clothings, towels , cotton, diapers , alcohol , baby oil , soaps etc etc.. He put some in a plastic box container and some are not available yet coz they're suppose to purchase the needed supplies just this week. They are not expecting that Ann will about to give birth too early. Upon waiting for my cousin who fetch somebody to accompany them to the hospital , my husband was quite nervous. I told him to drive safely and not too fast. He drive our tricycle for quick access coz it was park near our driveways exits already. When everything was settled they went to the hospital just 15-20 minutes drive away from our place. Good thing it's not raining. My husband was calling me around 5:15 am but i was not able to take the call coz i'm already busy preparing breakfast for my two kids. Was able to answer his second call and i was stunned when he told me that Ann my cousins wife gave birth already. According to my husband , she gave birth exactly as he stopped the tricycle in front of the hospital. Ann shouted and suddenly they heard a baby's cry! The father was so shocked he does'nt know what to do. So my husband speedily ran inside the hospital looking for a nurse to help them. The nurse hurriedly ran as well outside the hospital with her things and other staff with a wheelchair. The nurse cut the umbilical cord right there inside the trike and wrapped the baby in a clean towel and handed it to my cousin to bring it inside the hospital accompanied by other staff while the wife was taken care of the nurse to get up and safely seated in the wheelchair assisted by the other hospital staff. Whew! And just like that! And she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. They were able to save a big amount in medical expenses coz the wife delivered the baby through normal way. And not only like that ! Upon checking the baby's and mother's vital signs and after some series of lab test and just after a few hours , the results was released and everthing is fine with both the baby and mother they are allowed by the doctor to go home. That was Magical right? My cousin called my husband before lunch asking help again to please fetch them from the hospital . And my husband gladly do so , now without being nervous , hahaha! The new born baby and the mother are now safely home. My husband felt happiness and can't believe somehow that someone gave birth to our trike. In Conclusion What a great way to start our week huh? Panic Monday is real! They told us that luck will come our way coz she gave birth on our trike. Though we already felt lucky as my husband was saying .. Witnessing a new life inside our humble trike gives a sense of hope and faith was strengthen coz truly if it's Gods will , surely there's a way. It's a stormy Tuesday fellows, be safe! Thanks for your time. `All images are all given permission by my cousin and his wife to be used here in my article.` grey23espartinas

On Different Faces Of Death No: 48-10 August 19, 2022 `" It is not the end of the physical body that should worry us. Rather our concern must be to live while we're alive." -` ****Elizabeth Kubler -Ross**** No matter how natural and inevitable death is , we still fear it the most. Though we all know that we are going to die someday but we still can't accept the fact that it's the last stage of our existence into this world. It's not easy to condition our heart and mind that eventually we will all face death. It is not included in our plans. Better to live everyday without thinking much of it as if we can avoid it to happen , live as careless as we could be. Chase our dreams and live our life to the fullest coz that's the world are feeding us to do and then suddenly , **everything stop..and death comes to you...** You wake up in a room full of darkness. You started walking and went to a room with people talking and crying . You can see and hear them talking but they can't hear you as you ask them what is happening. You have no choice but to listen. They are talking about you. Talking about your sudden death. How you and your friends met an accident along the road . Your car crashed into a pole . It was so sudden you are not prepared for it, who would be anyway? You cried as you see your mom and dad can't accept your sudden fate. Then you remember , you don't even tell them how much you love them. You did'nt even had the chance to say sorry to your dad coz of a little misunderstanding that you thought he's not proud of you. How about your youngest sibling whom you promised to take care of her expenses to school? You did'nt listen to your mom precautions not to drink and drive coz you thought you know it already and you can handle yourself well. You have seen how tormented and shattered your girlfriend upon hearing the news. Oh , she's on the way carrying your child in her tummy. ***"***`Some people die at 25 and are'nt buried until 75 "-` ****Benjamin Franklin**** On the other hand your girlfriend dies too upon your death. Her heart stops beating for others , it becomes numb. She loves you so dearly you became her life. Her heart dies upon your death . Only pain she could feel she wished also for death but it's not her fate yet coz she has child to bear and raise. It will take years for her to wait , until such time that it's her time to leave, she prepared for it for so long she welcomes death without fear. While waiting for it to come she raised your child very well. Made sure that he'll be strong to face the world on his own. Taught him how to be good yet tough enough not to be fooled. Taught kindness and appreciation for all the things that he has. Be vocal to express his feelings and be considerate of what others may feel. Taught him that death may come unexpectedly and even if no one can be prepared for it's coming , it should be accepted as it is. ***His mom and dad was utterly devastated too upon his death. It should be the other way around. We were not supposed to bury our child it should be us first and not you.*** It's hard for us to accept your death and our hearts will always longed for you . The pain will not go away , we will just have to bear with it. As his dad crying infront of his coffin , he wished he told his son how much he loves him, that he was so proud of you. I just want you to be strong and responsible yet you walked away with me. My ways of molding you failed me but i will try my best to make up with your sibs. ***Two faces of death. One that was sudden and the other one that is comparable to death and eventually lead to acceptance of death.*** ====== My mom was an OFW all her life . **A single mom who showed no fear in raising us.** Brave warrior from the truest sense of the words. But everything had change when we found out that she has Stage IV Breast Cancer. I believed she knew about it when she's still abroad working but just did'nt give importance on the lump on her left breast. Disregard it probably coz she's always thinking about us. The lump was too big not to notice. After a year and five months upon her diagnosis and she's gone...During her chemotheraphy sessions **you will see her smile and will tell us " i will fight for** **you my dearests childs**" i won't give up the fight and somehow it gave us hope . We know how brave she is and we believed she'll surpass it and get healed. But as time goes by and her body starts to deteriorate we saw how hard it was for her. Vomiting , nausea, loss of appetite and extreme pains but still she's fighting. Until one night i heard her crying , trying to silence her self from wailing coz of pain. I heard her going downstairs and i silently went after her hiding myself in the corner of our stairs. *I* `saw how she rolled her body in the sofa and put a towel on her mouth so we wont hear her shout in pain. I saw her crying but trying so hard not to make some noise. Oh ! i was deeply in pain too coz i can't do anything about her sufferings. I can't hug her coz i know she does'nt want us to see her too vulnerable.` ***I went back to my room and just like her, cried in silence . I prayed and told God " if Death oh! Lord will be the only way to stop her pain then please ! death be upon her" . It will be fine to lose her for good coz we can't bear the pain of seeing her suffer a lot , she did not deserved any of it.*** It was only two weeks that she was bedridden . But she stills stand up to go to comfort room to bath. We told her one of the nights that we are beside her bed that we are all going to be fine and good if she can't take it anymore. That she raised an equally 3 brave warrior like her. That it's ok to give up the fight. Giving up her fight against cancer this time is actually a victory. Coz this time we are not afraid of her death coz all along she prepared us to do everything on our own. Take your rest mama , we will be fine.. === Fear of death? or Fear of leaving our love ones? Can we choose our death? Of course not. Nobody knows. Different faces of death . Sudden , Natural and Death due to sickness. I can't seem to choose . It is not included in my plan but i know that time will come that i got to go. But until then i choose to live , live without regrets , love as much as my heart can and give as long as i can. And if my time comes... `"Look for me in the nurseries of Heaven"` - ****Francis Thompson**** grey23espartinas

Progress has it's Price No: 47-9 August 16, 2022 We went to the town proper yesterday which is 30 -45 minutes drive from our place for our regular market day to purchase items for our little store. We're not able to do it last week coz my son got sick and he does not want us to go without him. So now that he is fully recovered from his sickness we proceed on our delayed task. As we travel i can't help but feel sad on the sceneries along the road. The used to be **Beautiful Vast Rice Fields** is now a field filled with water and water lilies. We call it now **Field of Waterlilies.** Some parts are filled with waters for years. Road was constructed and was elevated about a meter and a half from it's original state to still have access to reach town proper when flooded. Our place is a catch basin of water coming from the North. That's why flood is a natural occurence during rainy season. These are now the current condition of fields. Either full of water or waterlilies. When i was still living in the city during my College and Office working years, i always look forward every weekend to go home here in our province . I love the aroma of rice about to harvest during summer. It was really nice to breath fresh air and smell the aroma of palay , nice to stare at the golden rice fields. During planting season you will see men and women working hand in hand working in the field all day. Carabaos are used to plow fields. They will go to the fields in group before dawn. Bring their own food to cook for the whole day or their children will bring food for lunch and snacks. Planting rice while singing. You will see them again in groups walking home before sunset. During my childhood years i experienced playing in the haystack with my sisters and cousins. After school hours we are running in the fields , lying on haystack covering our bodies with it then after we will regret coz it's itchy and rashes will appear in our little bodies but we will do it again the next day coz it's fun. Those were the days. Gone are the beautiful ricefields and it's aromatic scent whenever we passed by along the road . Gone are the smoke coming from the burning hays that signifies the end of harvest season. Gone are the kids playing happily in the haystacks. Gone are the "Suso" or shells , "Talangka" little crabs , and other food we could get in the fields. Vast fields are now filled with waters. Farmers can't cultivate the land anymore for many years. The farmers source of income and food are now useless for them. How sad it is how our government are importing rice as temporary solution for the lack of rice supply yet addressing the real problem of farmers are seem taken for granted. Long term solution are not given priorities focusing on the immediate ones that are merely temporary. Owners of the land have no choice but to grab the offers of rich developers to buy their lands. Imagine buying it from them at 200 Php or approximately 4$ per square meter. How greedy they are to do that. Pointing and stressing out to them that their lands are hopeless and can't be use for planting again so might as well sell it to them at a very very low price so they could atleast earn money from it. And since tbey really need money to survive their current situation they will give in. They will sell their land that they cultivated for years. Now the developer will turn it to Subdivisions and they will sell it to 5000Php or 100$ per square meter or more. Clever is'nt it? I understand progress is needed as years go by. But i dont know how they will be able to put back the price of rice at 25php per kilo if they are killing the agriculture industry little by little. If they will not encourage farmers to plant again. If there were no lands anymore to cultivate. I guess being Self - Sufficient Country when it comes to food is a big progress. Agricultural sector should be improve and develop and should not vanish. Progress is good , it is important and we all need it to cope with the fast changing world. But still, let us not forget our environment. The natural habitat of us and all living things in it. Let us give big consideration of the next generation that will going to live in it. ***As quote " In an Underdeveloped Country dont drink the water. In a Developed Country don't breath the Air" - Jonathan Raban*** I'm still hoping to breath fresh air in the coming years... Thanks for reading. `Lead image from Unsplash` grey23espartinas

Part 2: In The Eyes of a Six Year Old Child No: 46 -8 August 14, 2022 Gossiping is not my cup of tea but of course i can't avoid being a Marites too sometime. Hahaha! I can't totally lock myself inside our little store and don't mind what's happening around the neighborhood. It's unavoidable coz people are talking infront of my little store most of the time. lol! But what i heard just stay with me. I don't have time to ask nor confirm if it's true or not. I don't care much as long as it does not involve me or my love ones . **So i was stunned when my son asked me. Momi , Peter has a dad still right? So why does Tita Venice was taken care of by Tito Louie**? ( I've changed the name of his playmate and other characters involved to protect them and myself for being sued, hahaha!). To give a brief background. Peter is my son's playmate in the neighborhood. They reside in a subdivision far from our place but his mom and grandma is our neighbor. They stay in his grandmas house at weekends. Peter's father is a Korean and i heard that his mom and dad are already separated but they have an aggreement that they would still live at the same roof but they wont care about each others lives. They are free to date whomever they want to but they would remain as friends. The father supports the child for everything . Is'nt it great? *Dapat ganun diba? May pag-uusap para malinaw. ( Simple and clear if you have an understanding and aggreement) .* So , it was talk of the neighborhood for quite sometime now and i really don't care much . Prior to the rumors sometimes Louie will buy something from my store accompanied by Peter but i did'nt ask the boy who the guy he was accompanying with. Until later i learned that it is the new boyfriend of Venice. My son curious as he is, probably just want to clear things on his head that's why he asked such question. The Korean was in the neighborhood recently and Peter was'nt then the next day it was Peter that is present so he's probably wondering why? His little mind can't comprehend what was happening around. **Going back to his queries. Momi , Peter has a dad still, right? So why was Tita Venice was taken care of by Tito Louie?** ***Ang hirap nya sagutin mga besh! hahaha!*** **( it's hard to explain it to him) .** Trying my very best to answer his question without giving him a sense of being judgemental or intrude with other peoples life. I told him that when he grows up and has a girlfriend and they got separated it's ok to have a new girlfriend in time . So i guess Peter's mom and dad are already separated so Tita Venice has a new boyfriend and it's fine. **And he was frowning and told me. Momi Peter's dad is just in the office working , that's why Tita Venice is taken care of by Tito Louie. Huh? So i asked him back , so you mean if "Tatay" goes back to work in the office would you like me to be taken care of by some other guy? No momi i will take care of you while tatay is working. I don't want you to be taken care of by other guy. And Tatay will not going to be taken care of by other girls. But why? Coz you will only be my tatay's girlfriend forever! Awww!** Most of the time when we are going somewhere and i know we will be long gone , i will asked my sisters who live just beside our house to take care of my son for a while. So he thought it that way that love one should be taken care of when the other one is away but he has an idea too that if you are a couple , you should only have one partner. We always look at the children just busy playing . Seems like not minding what is happening around. But in their inquisitive eyes and sharp ears they could hear us talking , wondering and have their own perspectives of the world we are living in. Parents plays a big factor on what they will believe in, on how they will grow as a good person, they will act and say what they hear from us. They will do things base on what they see from us. Soon they will have a profound perspective of the world but for now let us feed them with knowledge and virtues that will help them to be a better person someday. Someone that values family and someone that is strong yet with a good heart ready to battle the realities of the world. As always , thank you for the read. In The Eyes Of a Six Year Old Child No: 45-7 August 13,2022 It's third day of my son's taking antibiotics and he's getting really well by now. Since he was'nt going out to play for more than a week now due to his sickness , i have all his attentions . And geez it's not easy to do all things in the house and have such a curious little boy asking so many things out of the blue. Hahaha! *Minsan naloloka ako sa mga tanong. (* sometimes i got a little crazy coz of his inquiries!) He's asking so many things that requires detailed explanation in a way that he will understand or else he won't stop with such queries until he got the answer that satisfies his curious mind. While i am busy cleaning the house yesterday he was also busy playing with his toys . Talking to them as if they are going to talk back hahaha! But it seems like he noticed it too that his toys are not good to talk to coz they can't answer his questions to them. So he suddenly went to the kitchen and seated at the chair and started telling me unending stories and asked me unending questions too. lol! **He asked me if he would be tall like his "Tatay" someday would i look the same or look like an old granny**? . I told him that i will grow old coz it's inevitable but when he grows tall like his tatay which i think will happen just a few years from now then i think i will not look like an old granny yet. But when he gets older and marry someday and have children then i would be a legit grandma at that time but hopefully not look like an old granny still. Hahaha! Ayaw pa kasi tumanda! ( don't want to look old yet!) ***So i asked him , why are you asking anyway?*** *And he told me that he does not like me to grow old coz if i get old, i would get sick then i will not recover from sickness then i'll die and i will leave him. I don't want that to happen momi so i will not grow old and be taller like tatay. Awww! so sweet honey but it's not gonna be like that. Bakit pa kasi sinundan ko pa ng tanong? Mapapahaba pa tuloy, hahaha! ( Why did i bother to asked him anyway? It would take long for me to explain, huhu).* I showed photos of him years ago and i explained how he grows from a cute little baby to a handsome boy now. That he wont get to enjoy going to school now if he's still a baby. That all living things like plants and animals has a life cycle. Like our pet dogs that he used to carry a few months back and now they are puppies that ran everywhere and naughty like a kid. We could'nt avoid getting old or growing tall coz that's how life really works for us. Besides it will happen many years from now so he does not have to worry. Wheew! glad he nodded and accepted my explanation. So, while cleaning the carpet i asked him to go to our room coz it's dusty and he might catch some dust. He just get a mask and put it on while i'm cleaning. What are you doing? We are still talking momi , you told me not to leave when somebody's talking to you.
