Whose Real or Con? Would you take your Mask off?

I'm into poetry for quite a long time. Love to express my thoughts through it and write a piece if i'm in the mood. Or just doodle a line or two that pops into my mind then i'll just go back to it when something comes up again that ryhme .

This piece i write for my cousin . She's been vulnerable for quite some time now. Heartaches that most of us gone through from the past and some are dealing with currently like her,i guess.

Entitled "Whose Real or Con" coz living in our world today , somehow it's really hard to know whose real or whose just pretending to be real to get something from you. So let's see what i've got to write.

WHOSE REAL OR CON

In a world that's full of lies and fraud

will it still be safe to trust and hope

will you show your true self for me to know?

or will you hide your face and put your mask on.

I was talking to a cousin this afternoon and she was confuse and having some issues of the heart. We are close as sisters and i am always her confidante when it comes to matter of the heart. hahaha! No i am not a love guru or some sort i'm just a good listener as they say . I listen with a heart. lol.

She's single and pretty and chubby. A meztisa and with a kind and generous heart. But i should say also naive and gullible when it comes to relationship and other matters of the heart.

She had previous relationships and all of them are older from 10-15 years of her age. Though she's pretty , she's not into the looks of her past relationships. I would always tease her with " why? " and she would just stare at me and frown and i would just laugh.

Her past relationships are all lies. Lies coz all of them took advantage of her naivety. Not one of them took their mask off for her to know them better.

Will you allow me to go deeper into your soul?

or let me just stay outside your door.

I don't allow too many into my world

I just want the real ones that i can hold.

Somehow , i want to influence her on my way of thinking that not all people that smile at you are true. That trust is only given to people who earned it , who worked hard for it to gain your trust. Not overnight and not with mere words but through their actions. If they are so mysterious you can't go deeper and let you just outside their door and not allow you to enter their life then it's not worth having a relationship with them.

The one i could talk to with much sense

the one i could laugh with silly things

the one whose not afraid to fail

the one whose brave enough to sail.

Having a relationship with someone should not be a one way ticket. You should both enjoy the ride , talking about life , having plans and goals as you venture to a new journey every single day. Not afraid to sail into the uncertainty of life with you , not afraid to fail but brave enough to stand and fight for you. Someone who will be proud to be with you. May not shout to the whole world for them to hear but has the guts to show they really care in the open.

Not just around to make you happy but ready as well to face realities with you and that includes sorrow and sadness within the relationship. If it's too good to be true then it must be con.

They said that i am naive and clueless

On how you can fool me with your best

they say you took advantage of my weakness

a weakness to fall and love you fearless.

She's been through a rough road in her past relationships and her recent man know everything about it. I tell her straight that he is using her vulnerabilty at his advantage. The guy is committed to another woman yet he made her fall. At first, she taught he was just kidding her so she told him to stop.

Until one day he propessed his love and told her just to let him express his love even if she will not reciprocate his love. Men oh! Men ! how could you be so damn great in fooling a woman's heart?

A daily message of concerns, a continuos lines of cheesy things , a trap that eventually catch her heart. And now ... what should i say but yes, she's stupid to catch the bait.

And now that she's miserably inlove

Her heart cries out for pain

coz everything turns out to be a lie

He's aint not there when she's fallen.

He can't give up his woman

but He want her too on his side

What a lame excuse he can't choose one

He love them both , he can't hurt one.

How feeble his excuses not to meant to hurt her . That he just accidentally fall for her. When in the truth they only met after some time due to some business dealings. And after it was done , he kept calling her, sending quotes , sending messages , sending food. Etc.. etc..

Why there are some who'll do anything to make it sound like they are helpless so you should understand. Justifying their act and using love as the culprit. Uttering words like " nagmahal lang ako" ( i just fell inlove) .

Goodness gracious. Having the guts to utter those words of love yet heartless to break and hurt others. Now that he knows she's in love with him. He was leaving him a question and a decision to make. " I'ts all up to you". I love you but i can't leave her. Laying all his cards and it's all up to my cousin if she'll continue or not.

If she does then it will be all her fault and the man is now free of guilt . And the infamous line will follow. I really do love you but i understand if you leave me, it's all up to you. That's bu!! &h!+ !

In our world of full of lies , would you consider wearing your mask all the time , to atleast protect you from people that insanely go out of their way to fool around and deceive.
