Woke up early and waited for the honk of the pandesal vendor. I fondly called him "Anak" or son because he is a young boy probably 15-18 years old. Every morning he is going to honk to signal his arrival in our area. No need to go to a bakery or pastry store to buy some bread for breakfast. Pandesal is a common breakfast in our place paired with a hot coffee or choco. If budget allows , it is good to have it with fried eggs, hotdog or simply put butter on it. Or if" G na G" ( gipit na gipit hehe! - meaning low to no budget) dipping the bread in hot coffee will do.
We are living in a small town of Calumpit , province of Bulacan wherein basically people know each other , wherein neighbors are relatives and people are fondly calling each other ..
Sister / Mare- even if not really related.Referring to a girl friend.
Kuya or Manong - referring to a man older than you.
Brader / Pare - referring to a guy friend.
So whenever a delivery man did'nt know his way to his customer, just asked the first person you see in the street and ask " Brader or Pare kilala mo ba to? or Saan ba to? ( Do you know this name or place?) even if its block or miles away from the address they will gladly teach you the right way to their house ( no need for waze).
