I N T R O D U C T I O N :
We all had been tested by the unexpected problem when the pandemic hits hard on individuals no matter what status are we in. There were companies, restaurants, and other establishments closed and an increase of unemployed people. The lockdown made each and everyone forcefully go back to their hometowns or respective houses since it’s getting stricter due to the spreading virus. Due to that downfall that everyone experienced, most people decided to work at home by giving chance to get closer and spend more time with their family, less hassle when it comes to transportation and saves money too away from possible expenses. In the first stage at home, it was still fine and grateful but later on, we started to feel bored and isolated at home for months now. So today I am going to give 5 tips on how you can survive working at home.
A GOOD SLEEP
It’s okay to work because it is our main source of income to support the need and wants of our family but we should always be reminded as well to spend a good sleep for your mind and body to relax. No matter what will be your schedule is, if you are on a fixed schedule, flexible hours, or graveyard shifts, you must learn how to budget your time when it comes to sleeping. That’s a good shot to give for yourself because having a good sleep can give a great outcome when you are about to wake up. You will feel like having a good sleep rather than feeling sleepy and this creates you to possibly get absent or not productive because there’s a lack of energy sustain by not having a good sleep. As we all know that mostly it is suggested to sleep at least 8 hours a day. Since I am now working at school and I can feel the pressure but I always make sure when is the right time to sleep and wakes up and having a long span of sleeping will recharge me from yesterday’s tiredness. But I am not forcing you to need to sleep on that given hours because I respect also those people who are hard-working and spends overtime at work or work for another job.
CREATE A CONDUCIVE WORKPLACE
This is way more applicable to those employees who decided to stay at home and work. No matter how small or big the 4 corners of your home, you must save a place for yourself as your work because we need focus and concentration when it comes to our jobs and by not having it, this affects our performance. Let’s have an example to those workers who are more into speaking, verbal teaching, and accepting calls, a noisy background can affect the way you do your services to your students or clients and result in a report where you can even get bad ratings or deduction. Those employees who were provided by the company with all the technical tools are grateful because they will less worry compared to those who are still in the stage of processing or requiring their tools. But I do believe with a person’s dedication, hard work, and being strategic he or she can attain her/her goals when it comes to working. When I say a conducive workplace this covers the lighting, quality equipment, and background.
ACTIVE IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Engaging yourself in a variety of physical activities is a good choice. Though some people will feel lazier if they are at home simply because we are in a house where a bedroom is a relaxing room to lay on, yummy foods that our mom’s cooked and entertainment are where we can spend more time from it but we should know how to balance. Eating is okay. Working is okay but exercising is a must because without it it will bring you an unhealthy living which may affect your body and mind. As a beginner, you can simply start with the basic ones such as warm-ups or have 30-45 minutes this will help us to get sweat and release toxins.
4. MAKE A HEALTHY MEAL
We should be conscious of what we eat if this will benefit our healthy living. Working at home can give you time to explore cooking and create your own made recipes and people will be glad to know if you share them with them. I know some of you are a food eater and enjoy eating your favorite foods but this time we need to go deeper and know what do those foods contain? High calories or sodium? It’s a big No-No! Some of you may find green vegetation is boring and tasteless but always put in your mind how this helps us to be active and give chance to extend our life so let’s start learning and valuing the importance of healthy meals.
PAMPER YOURSELF
What will be your reasons why you need to pamper yourself? Some may find it too over-care but in reality, it’s not. You are not pampering yourself just not only to look good or have an interest in someone but this is worth it. You deserve all the health and beauty treatment from your stressful days at work. Having good hygiene reflects who you are. Our time and effort are not just spent for others but we should be left for ourselves. And this is what we called “self-love”. It does not create selfishness instead, giving the worth you need to have.
