As a photographer, I have to be flexible in different types of photography. Tonight I will share my captured photos from my client. I should be a risk-taker because I believe through that, it will teach me to do more beyond my capabilities. As a first-timer, I should make a good impression because this will be the way to get your client's trust and interest in their upcoming events.
One day my colleague contacted me and inquiring if I am available for Christening shoot. At first, I hesitate to do it but later on, I decided to why not give it a try. On the first day, we did the shoot at their home as a pre-christening for them to use the photos for tarpaulin, souvenirs, and invitation cards. It was not easy in the beginning since I am dealing with a baby who is a mood changer and I have to be extra careful as well since we all know that babies are sensitive enough. For additional details, the small anklet you can see is part of our tradition specifically to the young ones it serves as their protection from harm, bad spirits, and to stay healthy that is according to the belief.
When we arrived in the house, while we were setting my photography stuff, we make sure the child is in good condition such as a full tummy from a mother's milk so that he is ready for the photoshoot. The parents were very excited because it's their first time to have a family photograph together in a formal way. It was a sweet act also because the three of them have the same shirt's caption.
As parents, we always make sure to give our best for our children. Just like this experience, these photos will be forever treasured and served as a souvenir to keep and to look back when the child grows. By showing the shots, can retell the story. I really had fun too on the second day because it was the official celebration. There were many visitors who attended and had long talks since mostly where there were my friends.
I can really see how people nowadays adopted the new way of celebrating baptism because there were parents who will undergo pre -christening and post christening which was really far beyond the old days. But I see the good side from here because it shows creativeness and can give more opportunities to our dear photographers as well. This has been part of the trending and every individual is slowly welcoming the new tradition. To my co-photographer out there especially those who are still in the stage of learning new stuff just keep going, keep learning because, with great hard work, it will pay off everything that you've to invest to. Thanks, everyone for taking time reading and watching these captured photos of mine. I hope you like it.
