I want to take this time to congratulate and celebrate those who are winners in life. Those who are winning in everything they’ve worked so hard for, may it be in their career, business, profession, love life, and anything. You deserve it!
But today in this article I want to dedicate this to those who are not always the winner, those who are not always the best, those who are not always number 1, but those who are trying the hardest.
Here’s for you and your effort to make it. I want you to know that I appreciate you, in case no one tells you that. I appreciate you for doing all you can, to be the best in everything; especially in the eyes of those people you want to see the best in you. I want you to know and remember that it’s okay if you’re not the best, if you’re not number one; what’s important is that you’re doing everything you can and in a way that you are satisfied and happy. What’s important is you are learning every day; you are growing up and learning from your mistakes. We are not perfect and life is really not all about winning. We cannot have everything and that is normal. It is normal that there are things that you cannot do. I hope you don’ let anyone make you feel invalidated. I hope they do appreciate you trying and if not, I am here to do that. I appreciate you just because you are doing so. That alone is a big thing because not all people do that.
Stay out of the comparison. Stay on your spectrum, change for the better, change for yourself but do not change just so you can fit their standard you aren’t comfortable with in the first place. Don’t be too hard on yourself, please. I believe one day they will realize that not all people are the same and they can’t expect the same thing from different people, especially those of different age and generation for the basic reason that all human beings are unique so they must let go of the thought that one must be the same as the other, no matter how blood-related you are. That is not selfishness. That is self-respect and self-love. There is nothing wrong with putting yourself first sometimes if it means peace of mind and staying sane.
I want you to know that your exhaustion is valid, your worries are valid, and your fears are valid. I am pretty sure somewhere out there, in the line of your friends, one or two understands you. Speak. Let it out. Go to your friends if needed, if you feel like you want to breathe. Do what makes you comfortable. And then reflect; look back on things that caused your worries and exhaustion and see if there is something you need to change. But change only those that you can, put your hands off of what you can’t change and focus on what you can do better. It might feel the same every day, but I am telling you, it isn’t. Every day is different, and the calendar itself say so. I hope you think of it as something to look forward to, because every day is not the same and tomorrow might be better. And if not, do not worry because there is always tomorrow, it never ends. So I hope you believe that better days are coming. Look forward to it, hold onto it. And pray; ask for His guidance in everything that you do so you may understand His plans for you. Leave all your worries to Him and believe in yourself. Such trials are given to you because He knows you can, and that you are strong enough to face it.
And not being a winner now does not mean not being a winner forever. You have the will to change it and your chances are every day. But you know what, you are still a winner. Your efforts, your hard work, just you simply trying to live by – that makes you one. So congratulations.
Hello there! This is for everyone who tries the hardest but still feels not good enough. Your efforts, no matter how small, are appreciated.
And just a little reminder that sometimes it's better to be kind than to be right. May we always be careful of the things that we speak because everyone has a silent battle we know nothing about.
Thank you for reading. :)
