The Likely Gospel
The so called "Christianity" is all over the place. Teaching about Jesus, how he can give you eternal life, a ticket to heaven, a prosperous life, a healthy life, high self-esteem, and all the good stuff people want for their own satisfaction. A "Christianity" that is based on man-centeredness. A Christianity where man can indulge himself in a delusion that they can have all things they wanted in exchange for his faith in God. A Christianity where god is tailored to what they wanted him to be.
The paragraph above is not likely, but truly not the Gospel. The Gospel is that man needs to deny himself of all that he wants in exchange to following Jesus. He must deny himself, carry the cross (in which means dying to one's self). He must deny himself, he must not associate to himself because his self is a vile unregenerate sinner whom God has prepared His bows and sharpened His sword for, for God's wrath is revealed against those who have sinned. The only way to escape God's wrath is to believe in Jesus that He is Lord and His death on the cross is sufficient to satisfy God's wrath. And as an evidence to that, we deny one's self and follow Christ even to the expense of one's own life (Luke 9:23-26).
Let's remember that the True Gospel is not a man-centered gospel. That we are to be tailored to God's will, not "god" who is tailored to our wants.
