Do you know what the Pyramidal Syndrome is? Let me explain, It's a series of symptoms or manifestations in the body that affect the buttock, thigh, leg and heel, on one side of the body.

The symptoms can be things like a feeling of pain in the area, like a "stab", numbness or heaviness in the leg and/or a tingling sensation.

The pyramidal is a muscle that is in the deep part of the gluteus, it's very close to the femur.

The pyramidal syndrome is a "contracture" of the thigh that can be caused by physical trauma such as blows, falls, poor stretching when doing exercises, among others.

What causes it?

Exercising on very hard surfaces such as directly on the floor, people who exercise without prior warm-ups and also when sitting for long periods of time. This causes the muscle to contract and compress the sciatic nerve, which passes through the pyramidal muscle.

What can be done to ease the pain?

First, you could apply some ice on the affected area for 20 minutes every four hours, until the pain subsides.

Second, the affected area can be massaged with analgesic creams.

Third, muscle stretching exercises can also be done to ease the pain.

Fourth, it is necessary to take rest so as not to continue injuring the area.

This piece of information that I am giving you today is so that you can have an understanding of the discomfort that has been affecting me for almost a month, caused by having spent too much time sitting, which damaged my sciatic nerve, and by not taking adequate actions in answer to these problems.

In view of these constant problems I have decided to take my treatment seriously and have recently seen results.

Now, instead of writing while sitting down I do it lying down in my bed, and for me, it's quite difficult to lie down and write on a laptop, especially when you have constant pain in one part of your body.
