Lya's brothers are also worried; Raul has already returned from university and together with Martha, who are now at home with their mother, want to talk to Lya. It’s very difficult for them because Lya doesn't want to listen, she just wants to talk. Her walks are longer she leaves home in the morning and arrives at night. Margot doesn't know where her daughter goes, she fears for her. Her boyfriend can't handle her anymore, he’s worried but he doesn't know what to do. He doesn't visit her, he can't. Her brothers make up their minds and go for her. They take long drives around town to locate their sister and for some reason they can't find her whereabouts.
While all of this is happening, Lya is being imprisoned. She just tried to assault a person. While Lya was in the park she talked a lot with everyone there, even the people who didn’t want to talk. She doesn't stop walking and talking and manages to annoy everyone in the place. A very angry woman rebuked her and yelled at her face, to which Lya replied with fury; she clung tightly to the hair of the woman and then started punching the woman, she bit and kicked her. She used everything she had to attack the woman. The woman was eventually knocked unconscious while the other people in the park tried to grab Lya. Someone called the police and, after fighting and immobilizing her, the police took Lya to the hospital due to her state. She looked insane.
In the hospital they administer medications to sedate her psychotic state. They call and refer her case to psychiatry. The next step is to call the relatives and someone recognizes Lya. It’s the nurse who was on duty the day Lya arrived a few months ago and was hospitalized for the car accident. They said: “She received a strong blow to the head after a car accident in which a car running at high speed could not stop in time at the traffic lights. Nothing weird came out of her skull X-rays…” The doctor looks up his patient records and calls the number.
Family members arrive at the hospital and are informed of Lya's situation. She is under a psychotic state that warrants immediate confinement in the psychiatric department and then she has to face charges of aggravated assault.
Margot can't understand it; she immediately takes this chance to talk to the doctor and tells him that everything began after she suffered the accident. The doctor found this detail important.
Taking advantage of the fact that Lya was sedated with drugs to calm her psychotic state, the doctor requests a CT scan of her skull and, upon having the results, he immediately calls the neurosurgeon to evaluate it.
The neurosurgeon finds that Lya's brain has a blood clot the size of a golf ball in the same region that was hit during the accident. It’s surrounding vital areas of the brain and she could lose his life at any moment! An emergency craniotomy to remove the blood clot is made.
With the clot removed she is transferred to the intensive care unit to remain tubed for a few weeks, but if Lya wakes up and cannot remain calm in her intervention, she can threaten her own life.
After a few weeks her intervention was a success and the entire clot was removed. They hope that by deflating the brain they will remove the intubation and be able to move it to the middle care room.
Some time has passed and Lya was moved into the next room, so that she could see her relatives when she woke up. Once she wakes up they will be able to assess the state of her brain.
In this room are all of her relatives, her mother and siblings hope to speak with her. Then after waking up from her lethargy, she slowly began to recognize her family, she cries and begins to remember the day of the accident. It’s then that she asks "where am I? Where's Jim? We were at a traffic light when something happened… that's all I can remember...”
The end.
This is a good ending. It's nice that she's back to her old self..
