This is a succulent that belongs to the aizoaceae family. Its originally from South Africa.
It's a perennial succulent, it grows for as long as it remains with the ideal conditions. It grows as a shrub with erect stems, highly branched and disorderly. It's usually green like a very leafy bush and it can measure up to 40 cm in height.
The stems and leaves are covered with villi that are not spiny. Their leaves, if they receive enough water, become very bulky and their oval shape is gradually lost due to the amount of water they absorb, but if they go overboard the plant can rot completely.
This plant can receive direct sunlight and its leaves take on a darker green color, if it's kept in semi-shade it will have a light green color.
It's an ornamental plant that can be planted in a pot, with a well-drained substrate so that irrigation water does not remain. There is a risk of puddling the water and the following rotting of the plant.
Reproducing the plant can be done easily by cutting of small stems from the branches of the mother. These are transplanted at once to the appropriate substrate and in a week we have a new plant with the same characteristics as the mother.
It's a plant that can be easily grown by beginners. Since the only special care it needs is to not constantly add water when the plant has very swollen leaves, because there is a risk of losing the plant.
