What are Moral and Values?

The ideals of the people determine what they want individually, but morality determines what they want. Some activities in a given community are considered acceptable while others are considered unwanted.

The Philippine system of values or Filipino values refers to values that are traditional of significance for the majority of Filipinos. This system includes its unique composition of consistent ideologies, moral codes, ethics, etiquette, and cultural and personal values promoted by society. The Philippine value system includes However the importance of a person's faith, upbringing, and other factors may vary, as in any culture.

The Philippines is a country with different influences on culture. Most of these influences have been triggered by earlier colonization, primarily based on the culture of Spain and the USA. Despite these influences, the ancient Asian culture of the Philippines has persisted, with its way of life, religions, and customs evident. Filipino culture, everywhere you go, is very simple and valued in many parts of the world.

The distinctive values system of the Philippines, as a general description, is rooted primarily in personal alliance systems, particularly those centered on relationships, duty, friendship, and religion.

These are the values that I'm proudly sharing with you:

Family-oriented

Filipinos have good and tight relations with their relatives. They put their family first and foremost in their esteem. They work every day and make every effort to feed and support their families.

He/she might be living away from his/her family if a person turns 18 in other countries. They love their families in the Philippines so much that they preserve them intact.

Respect

One of Filipinos' precious things is that they love each other. Young people, young people, people of all ages should display respect and kindness. The use of "Opo's pole," "Pagmamano" and placing the elder's hand behind your forehead are some ways to display them and calling our elderly siblings or elderly Ate.

God-fearing

Though we Philippines belong to various religious denominations, we all have God in the middle. Often Filipino families go to church or pray with their families.

Helping others “Bayanihan”

This is demonstrated by community activities such as helping a new neighbor relocate to a new location or offering support in times of calamity. This value of the Philippines is significant since neighbors are often regarded as part of the family in the Philippines. The workload is made easier with community effort and new friends by collaboration. The Philippines have various kinds of people in general. It can be easily customized and versatile in any case. This feature promotes collaboration, good, and supportive behavior. They will help them in something when your neighbors are in trouble. Also, they don't encourage their family members to go through tough times on their own. The Philippines stresses the importance of family and the proximity of members of the family.

Resourcefulness

The Filipinos have built a sense of resourcefulness or the ability to withstand everything they have as citizens who have always been under the rule in numerous powerful countries. They can make anything out of virtually nothing in an incredible way.

Being Industrious

Many expatriates still appreciate this characteristic of the Philippines because it is obvious that the Filipinos are serious and passionate about the work. Often, you might also see someone juggling his family with three jobs.

Hospitality

One of Filipinos' most common qualities is that it is very accommodating. If visitors are at home, they can make plenty of planning for a nice place to have fun and enjoy the time to spend. If an opportunity is at home, you can hope to have plenty of food and take-outs (pabalots) afterward.

Religiosity

Every Sunday, you see many Filipinos going to church. You see one or two people go to chapel every day to pray quickly. This Filipino religiosity is of great significance to the Philippines. The Philippines is home to the most religious people you ever encounter with the population primarily from Catholics. No matter what religion is, Filipinos still love the Highest Being with dedication.

Love and Happiness

Our parents in a Philippine family usually cook for us so they demonstrate their affection. Filipinos almost still find a way to smile and be satisfied in good and bad times. Regardless of what the problem is, we must remember that our family always loves and helps us.

Humor

This renowned quality is the Filipinos' ability to find humor. It highlights Filipinos' optimism and positivity, in whatever situation they can stay committed to the obstacles or difficulties they face. It works as a tactic of confrontation, much as a child who has fallen laughs at itself to cover its shame.

If you do, many others will, including our children. Values can be contagious. I hope that more practice from all of us can make the planet for future generations a better place.
