2020 The golden age for streamers
Disclaimer I'm no expert in this. This is just my overall opinion and things I've observed this year 2020.
First of all, what is a Streamer?
Streamers are people who make content in an Entertainment platform such as (well-known examples are:) Youtube and Twitch. Mostly, they play games, talk to their audience, and watch or react to random/dedicated fan-made Clips.
Good examples are Pewdiepie with 108 million subscribers (yes million!), Vtubers from Japan or from around the world are making the biggest noise right now ( in a good way), and Twitch Streamers like tommyinnit topping at 262,996 peak viewers.
What makes 2020 the golden age you ask?
Well of course, you know exactly why! it's the pandemic that changes most people's lives even today. More time to spend or just staying at home. and what's the best way to kill boredom? Spending time in the internet :)
Want to play games especially the triple-A ones but don't want to spend money to buy gaming rig/consoles or the game itself (games nowadays are expensive too you know)? watch streamers. They play almost every games that exist out there and always updated to the mainstream.
So why are streamers a Big Hit this 2020?
According to this article written by James Hale, top streamers on twitch are estimated that they earn up to $500,000-$1,900,000 this year. (isn't that insane?)
Also, the new trend that's hitting the platform so-called Vtubers (Virtual Youtubers) is really on fire. According to Wiki "As of August 2020, Kiryu Coco had earned approximately 85 million yen (US$810,000)" I've checked, and now it's $1,347,548 today. You can see the chart here updated daily in this link.
(In my case, I have fallen to this rabbit hole called Vtubers and I cant get up. (They really are cute, funny, and talented. Natural entertainers!)

Many hidden rules on the platform

Can everyone be a streamer or in these money-making platform?
Sure you can try you won't lose anything. maybe this is even what you wanted all along.
Can you quit your job and become a full-time streamer for the money?
I don't recommend it. You can take your chances, but almost everyone is trying as well. it's really a "hit or miss" in this field. You have to be unique from everyone to be noticed by thousands or millions of people around the world.
TL: DR Take your chance to become a streamer! Maybe you're the next one Ill be watching and other Billions of people around the world :))
Thanks for reading my stuff. I repeat I'm no expert in this field. it's just my observation. You can correct me in the comment section. PEACE <3
