The best ways to earn from the Blockchain-based social platforms
For this post, I will be focusing on Blurt, Hive, & Steem social platforms. Also, I will be considering two ways of earning from these platforms: Active & Passive. I will try to include more ways as much as possible however I will be focusing on the basics and the lucrative options.
To give you a quick intro about these kinds of blockchain & crypto projects, all of the mentioned projects are using the same source code, Steem being the first among the 3 while Blurt is the latest among the forks. All of the projects are featuring the same inflation-based rewards mechanism and almost every aspect of your activity could potentially earn you some form of rewards.
Here are the basic ways of earning rewards that are common to all projects:
Creating Content (main app)
Curating Content (main app)
Stakes Delegation (3rd party app)
I feel that these 3 options are more than enough to basically earn a good amount of token rewards and these are the simplest options to grasp for the beginners on these platforms.
Creating Content
All three platforms are featuring the same mechanics when it comes to content creation. The only difference among the 3 is the frontends that can be used to broadcast your post. Let me give you a list of what I think are the basic frontend to use among the 3 platforms:
Blurt
Frontend for Publishing Posts

Wallet for Transactions

Explorers

Hive
Frontend for Publishing Posts

Wallet for Transactions

Steem
Frontend for Publishing Posts

https://steemit.com/
Wallet for Transactions

The condenser types of the frontend are obviously older versions and have the least features however they are also reliable when it comes to the basic activities in any of the platforms mentioned.
Curating Content
I consider this option the most enjoyable activity to do on any of the platforms. This is the option that will earn you a good amount of returns while consuming the content that you enjoy. It's like you're gaining knowledge and getting paid through a simple 1-click upvote button.
The catch is that you need to have stakes or power.
Blurt = Blurtpower (13 weeks to unbound)
Hive = Hivepower (13 weeks to unbound)
Steem = Steempower (4 weeks to unbound)
These are all types of tokens that are native to all platforms. All of them are locked-in stakes with varying unbinding period. Hivepower & Blurtpower having the longest unbinding period at 13 weeks while Steempower only takes 4 weeks to unbound.
Let's talk about APR (Annual Percentage Rate). How much will you earn by curating content?
Both Hive & Steem have 3rd party apps that are free to use to automate your curation activity. But for this part, I'm considering manual curation.
Blurt = 30% APR (ave)
Hive = 10% APR (ave)
Steem = 30% APR (ave)
The values I stated above are based on my experience and observations of other accounts' curation rewards. It could vary with other users. Bots are usually garnering better returns because they can effectively vote within the "voting window" to maximize profits.
Stakes Delegation
I have used the word "stake" because it's easily understood in platforms outside of Blurt/Hive/Steem. Powering-up is equivalent to Staking. While Delegating means shifting the use of power from your account to another account without transferring the powered-up tokens.
All 3 platforms Blurt, Hive, & Steem have 3rd party services that will reward liquid native tokens by delegating stakes to their account.
Blurt
https://blurtworld.com/@droida (Monthly Payment @ 46% APR ave.)
https://blurtworld.com/@freevoter (Daily Payment @ 23% APR ave.)
Hive
https://peakd.com/@tipu (Daily Payment @ 10% APR ave)
https://peakd.com/@hiveupme (Share 95% Curation reward among Delegators)
https://peakd.com/@hive.curation (Daily Payment @ 16% APR)
Steem
https://steempeak.com/@tipu (Daily Payment @ 30% APR ave)
All of these services pay the same native token.
So these are the basic options that are simple enough for you to earn Blurt, Hive, or Steem.
Both creating & curating content is considered as an active way of earning while delegating stake is passive. The best thing about it is that you may participate in all 3 options at the same time to maximize your profit in every aspect.
Your article is very confusing for a new comer to crypto currency like me, so am wondering do you use one wallet for all 3 sites? Do you need to make articles to make money? I can’t write articles so none of the sites would fit for common users like me who like to just lurk and upvote content? I like read.cash I don’t have to make articles and still get tips which is nice so am more interested in sites like that.
