Reading updates about a certain project feels invigorating. Especially in the realm of blockchain & cryptocurrency, I feel that change is far better than stagnation. And that's how open-source development should be. In this day and age, the devs are the ones pulling the major strings. And that's fine, without them, we will not be having an array of wonderful crypto-based products that we enjoy.
The Devs are the modern visionaries & makers that are building the virtual space of the future.
Using the old systems as the basis for the blockchain-based project, they add the code to fine-tune the system itself. They study the predecessor code. And then break it to the extent that it will be improved to its very core.
That's mainly the reason why developers are the Rockstars in this space. They are revered by many.
I'm not really sure how they are getting paid for building something that is beyond the capacity of a single person. Some devs are lone wolves while others work in a pack. Whichever they chose to execute their work in the open-source community, I wish them prosperity in their life.
With regards to the social blockchain projects... I'm not really sure why there is less than 1% of the total population participate in this revolutionary technology. I hope that more people will have access to this network and find a way to prosper through the knowledge that they acquire and improve their financial status in life. There is a huge percentage in the world that are subjected to extreme poverty. Maybe the lack of knowledge on how to uplift their lives has not sunk into them or they don't have the guts to break boundaries and expectations.
I came to this social network not knowing anything about cryptocurrency & blockchain technology. However, over the period of almost 4 years, I learned enough basic knowledge that will help me understand beyond the social & technological aspects of it.
My years of experience in using some of the products that were brought by the open-source development have provided me a glimpse of the future potential it. There could be multiple social blockchains in the near future that have specific audiences & users. That's not far-fetched. It's already happening as we speak and it is only waiting for the right time to break mass adoption at a scale that is never seen before.
I'm extremely grateful that I'm still relatively young and healthy to witness the next decade of this development. Honestly, I think that it won't even take a decade to realize the true potential of blockchain technology, the development is exponential and it's getting faster each year. I won't be surprised if in a few years this technology becomes a norm in every industry.
The tokenization of every aspect of society will be a thing and it will be a widespread expansion beyond social media. It already penetrated the top-tier institutional investors and it's no longer an underground thing. It is starting to take-off and it's inevitable.
The question now is whether you have the capacity or knowledge to participate in it or not. I urge you to take part in it and be involved in as many projects as you could. The barriers are lowered and the gateways are open wide. It only requires you to take the initiative and step into this realm. A realm where the majority of the population has never hear about.
Things are changing. And they are changing for the betterment.
