Dhaka in the cloud is a Bengali film based on the india-Pakistan partition released in 1960. This is the fourth and first commercial film directed by The Spiritual Ghotak. The film was written by Mrinal Sen based on the original story of shaktipada rajguru. In acting, Supriya Chowdhury, Anil Chattopadhyay, Niranjan Roy, Geetha Ghotak, Bijan Bhattacharya, Geetha Dey, Biju Bhawal, Janesh Mukherjee, Renan Raychowdri etc. [1]
In the annual 1975 film magazine, Ritik Ghotak notes that the three films, Dhaka Tara (1960), Komal Gandher (1961) and Golden Line (1962), were made together by the cloud of the country's background. [2] [3]
The work of the spiritual ghotak is significant in india. Perhaps the most well known and discussed star in the eight films of Ghotak.
