The largest building in the world stretches from Central Asia to the Yellow Sea, with a length of 21,196 km, a height of 10-16 meters and a width of 8 meters, it is certainly the longest wall in the world. Recent research has undermined the theory that the length of the wall is only 8,851.8 km. and doubled that number.
The wall stretches through 15 Chinese provinces and is a symbol of national unity. The once numerous walls built in different periods today form a unique and most famous building.
The Great Wall of China was built over 2000 years - from the 8th century BC when the first traces of construction appear (at that time China was divided into 150 smaller states), but monitoring of the construction of the wall was recorded from the 3rd century BC to the 17th century. A.D.
At the time of the construction of the wall, the social order was quite developed, but due to social turmoil there was a conflict between statesmen and out of 150 states only 7 remained - "seven forces" and a few weaker small states. In order to defend themselves from attempts to attack each other, walls are being built that take on the role of defense and protection.
Over the years, dynasties have changed, the wall has been built / demolished and has never been fully built. The Ming dynasty (1368/1644) is most responsible for the construction of today's appearance of the Great Wall. In their time, the construction of the wall was crucial for defense against the Mongols, and this period is called the golden age of the Great Wall of China. The Ming Dynasty built walls with barricades between them, over 1000 forts and 1000 watchtowers, thus making an excellent defense system in Asia.
Legend
In China, there are temples where Meng Jiang Nu is worshiped, a woman whose tears collapsed a wall 400 kilometers away. Legend has it that a woman set out in search of her husband, who was involved in the construction of the wall, and after 3 years of not finding it, found out that he had died from exhausting work. Legend has it that her tears were so strong that they collapsed the wall.
It has been considered one of the most amazing man-made buildings since the first half of the 20th century to be seen from the moon. But this statement is not true, it is a misconception of the astronaut Apollo 11, to check how much people think and how much they actually trust the authorities.
